In my madness, 
If only it could be found,

Waiting for a Genius

I’m waiting for a genius
At the Apple store today
Where most customers are younger,
Knowing all will be okay.

At the counter, though, a woman
Who looks older than my age,
Sits and struggles with the agent
Who is helping her engage.

She, like me, is pretty clueless
(Though she seems a little worse)
And she’s viewed with some derision,
Though it once was the

Genius or Else

I can either be a genius. 
Or not. 
Or a little piece of tape that falls off the wall. 
They’re going to find me someday.

And let it happen again.

And not really know

Twelve Sunflowers in a Vase

 twelve of us he choose to paint
    sons of Jacob in an earthen 
jar so sturdy
plonked us with vehemence
directed by neuronal cells 
skull protecting scrambled 
delicacy
              managed by eyes
emitting fire spark piercings
fingers reading poverty
boats
    

trade presents no problem for a genius

His narcissism’s off the charts
Only psychos say he’s got smarts
This china shop bull
Sells shopping carts full
Of shlock from his rear-facing parts

What's to understand about a genius

picasso's lines are effortless
he makes it look too easy
to be gifted with such talent 
is absolutely magnificently crazy
