Frugality with economy of words
hoping you will read between the lines
silence dishing out the obvious

Open your heart to multi-dimensional reality
for when it comes to the soul,
it is not about frugality
Dive into new possibilities and transverse
into the abyss of new cosmic hope,
we are beings of light, diverse !!!
On the hills is a forest of windmills.
A chimera mirage of
shrill, garish pinwheels,
Wailing an endless lament
to the tragedy of the commons.
They spin a yarn of the
collapse of self-sufficiency
and starved frugality,
that yearned to curb our needs.
It's already too late,
or almost too late to ever succeed
in providing for the commons.
Life is rice, oil and salt
If living itself is luxury
And food is all delivery
Relationship is boring
You still need to cook
Your own food for love
In this way not thrifty
It's showing creativity
Independence frugality
Home made taste far
Excellence in all ways
It's a voluntary sense
Trust base, fair care
Ordinary yet special
Simple yet full moral
Most people have this
Urbane yet unexplainable
Always look happiness
In the belly of each person.
No longer will a penny
For your thoughts make any sense,
Since there will not be any
Pennies left to thus dispense.
A penny saved, a penny earned –
Advice that represents
Frugality cannot be learned
Without the evidence.
From heaven, pennies won’t rain down
And that’s a consequence
Of a would-be king who lacks a crown
But rules at our expense.
Yes I want things to change
Anywhere but here
Stop consuming cheap dirty energy
Anywhere but here
Stop the waste of single use and dump
Anywhere but here
I welcome refugees
Anywhere but here
I welcome high-rise density living
Anywhere but here
I welcome frugality to give to the poor
Anywhere but here
I love communal living and crowds
Anywhere but here
Do it over there
In another place
In another space
At another time
Right away from here!
Intentions fall akin to ashes on the pyre.
Of our procrastination quixotic fire
We've got a penchant for delay and distraction.
A puerile fear of routine and reaction.
But in our deepest hearts, we glow.
Time is a precious commodity to sow.
But we still apply it to just toss it away.
Thinking that tomorrow will start a fresh day
We piddle with excuses and justify.
Our lack of progress and letting scope pass us by
But the truth is, we're only cheating ourselves.
By neglecting our dreams and putting them on shelves
So let us rise from the ashes of our pyre.
And ignite a fresh flame of desire.
Let's attempt to alter our current reality.
And will cease to be hindered by frugality.
Life is too precious to waste away.
On diddle misguided play
Let us grapple with the day and bear it count.
If you live decently, the strain won't mount.

~ What Papa Taught Me ~
Save, don't spend
The good times will end
Extravagance, for fools
Frugality rules
A penny saved
A penny earned
A dollar wasted
Independence spurned...
Inflation, deflation
Whatever the situation
Cash is King
Credit ~ bling
Pat lived in externality
Thanks to frugality
his life insurance ... cheap soap
blissful moment of life's hopes
2 bucks saved his mortality
* Stay healthy ... wash your hands often *

Child laborers like us
Live in a world of reality
Where domestic violence is a commonality
Amidst high infant mortality
Mafia's rewarded for their masculinity
No individuality
Fear of homosexuality
Ours is a world of frugality
Full of sick mentality
An abundance of rascality, criminality, carnality, illegality
No traces of equality, liberality, joviality, musicality
Lopsided is our scale of ethicality
Thinking of freedom is an illogicality
Laughed at for its ephemerality
Being fettered in this communality
Balances the economy of duality
The fire has been lit there already
Having been started by the Gods
Eager, ever so eager to see their will
Fulfilled, as the sparks of it originate
In a time period which the human mind
Remembers not, so immersed in the frugality of
Earth, a heartless spirit, caring solely to revolve!
Reason and science fill up every corner of this land
Armed so heavily against this mystical fire
Gouging it up with impure waters
Even if emotions, true and genuine, blow at it
Summoning me to kneel, to cry and to clip off my wings
Ordering myself to show that I care not for my self worth
Not even scared to die in this fire, as it remains my cause!

Frugality
Spending on things that's
really necessary
in restrained manner.

Minimalism
A technique that's marked
by extreme sparseness, simple
wilful lack of style.

Nearly all things
pertinent to life
are dispensed
in measured
finite quantities
money
clothing
shelter
food
water
oxygen
even relationships
and our life itself
in precious drops
moments
of time
So, thrift in
nearly all things
is merely a logical use
of these resources
in appreciation
of their value
their basic
necessity
to our
survival
But even frugality
can go too far-
when it becomes
a competition
us against them
a vicious fist-fight
in the bargain-bins of life
when it makes us afraid
that there's not enough
to 'go around'
robbing us of compassion
or understanding
or greater vision
when it destroys our ability to
hope for better things
withholding the means to
achieve our most
important dreams
it becomes counterproductive
to its very purpose...
By all means, use your life
and all that you have carefully
gratefully and mindfully
but in all your various economy-
always remember to
spend your dreams lavishly
and spare no kindness
That neighbor of mine has been stingy as hell.
As a businessperson, he has done quite well.
His enterprise has been growing larger each day.
It has been that way since his partner passed away.
For the longest time, he has exhibited frugality.
He has never known the meaning of charity.
Christmas is a day he wants to sweep under the rug.
I have heard him refer to this season as a “humbug”.
Well, something strange must have happened overnight.
What he is doing appears almost as a fright.
This morning, he said “Merry Christmas” to me.
He took my hand, and gave me a gold guinea.
Then he was dancing around in the street.
He laughed and greeted everyone he would meet.
I really do not know what happened since yesterday.
However, I hope the man will stay this way.
I wrote and submitted this one several years ago. I thought I would repost it for the season.
