As she drinks nectar from a flower, sweetness from heaven falls like dew
anointed with a gentle rain amidst sun showers she appears as if on cue
Lifting her wings she lands on a Zinnia beneath a tinted sky of April blue
flight of fancy fanning fast, fabulous marvel, she is beauty true on true
A delicate design, gently painted are white ink spots on each wispy wing
polka dots align her spine, O what a sight for sore eyes in virgin spring
A fancy moth is what some say, an insect with a marbled brown fringe ‘til they're taken aback by flair’s array, iridescent cerulean and teal tinge
A thousand miles she will fly, against Fall's tender cool azure sky
golden rays her solar compass, to orient her pathways—alas
Her journey comes to an end, up the coast where time she’ll spend
Vanessa flutters by, a painted lady, a butterfly

Penumbric Fringe
David J Walker
The lateness of the hour
Measured in the meter of the
News-mans message
The Hour is Late
But not come
Cries the downtown crier
The lateness of the hour
With unrealized power
From the sun
But then
They will be they
Won’t they
They are the one-word
Future
The lateness of the hour
Is Time
And time again
Repeated in
Ambit chaos
Within the penumbric fringe

Sometimes in the end
New beginnings cling
Attaching themselves to new premises lend
~
Random yearning closures rings
Often dismiss as over rolf
The end comes and out of its mouth
Future verge fringe

I
ELIAS
I'll climb to the crest of the clouds
- bare heart -
I'll climb to the Morning Star
from the very edge of deus ex machina.
I've left in the pulpitum
my offering of bewilderment
my embroidered cape - imaginería -
the mere crumbs of my fears.

The older I get,
the louder the Muse does parade
The shorter the moment,
the deeper her message invades
The older I get,
distant voices wither and fade
With death on the fringe
—all focus recentered and staged

Beyond the fringe
So long as I live
My all I give
Don't care if you call it a sin
Or if it burns a bridge
I work above and below the ridge
And I can't always win
While the planets continue to spin
You have no idea what I did
And have never been in my shoes or skin
I'm positive
You're story was not always corroborative
Don't you fib
Or mess with me or my kin
The weather at times muggy
The same could be said for events turning bloody
Rather abruptly
Daily or monthly
Sad to see anything happen unjustly
Near and far from where the terrain was muddy
To put it bluntly
No longer is it all very funny
I've got to get that money
From the city to the country
Any day and night, regardless of it's sunny
Still this life is lovely
And I feel lucky
To have people that love me
All these dreams
I don't always understand what it means
Even when twenty thousand leagues under the seas
Between you and me
It is not always what it seems

Most people are friendly, most people are nice
The lunatic fringe cause the crap to be precise
A necessary evil
These subhuman people
Been around forever these murderous lice

Face the fact now with a sure feel,
Reach for a sign as symbols link;
Ink stains know how to feed the will,
Niche fond design here on the brink;
Give and take some as textures twirl,
Engage the trip as motives glaze.
Brand sure outcome as gestures swirl,
Expect sure grip to master craze;
Note how you can account for more,
Etch title deed with touch profound;
Feed awesome plan with wealth galore,
Indulge fine feed upon these grounds;
Trust truth to dwell the tale you lease,
Spread cash that tells a poise you please.

The lunatic fringe are grabbing the headlines
This murderous bunch are attempting to undermine
These subhumans won't succeed
The world will be freed
Of this scourge affecting the lives, yours and mine

As days go, this has not been one of the best
But after giving myself a good talking to
I've realized not all days are created equal
It's the lunatic fringe that are wreaking havoc
Ask anyone on the street and I'm certain
99.9% are peace loving folks who just want
To be left alone to live a happy and peaceful life
But these degenerate sub humans
Insist on carrying out these cowardly barbaric acts
Randomly attacking totally innocent people!
However, by reacting irrationally, we run the risk
Of becoming as radical and evil as these lunatics
Calmer heads MUST prevail
Hopefully these barbaric acts will one day cease
They MUST cease in the name of all that is good!
Am I dreaming out loud?

On the fringe of the brink on the brim.
The tip of the edge on the LEDGE
A clip of the hedge.
