anointed with a gentle rain amidst sun showers she appears as if on cue
 
Lifting her wings she lands on a Zinnia beneath a tinted sky of April blue 
flight of fancy fanning fast, fabulous marvel, she is beauty true on

   the skies have eyes
   the balloons have weather

An old man still unbent sits on a deserted wooden bench
   with the load of his cares on his convex-ed back
   beside him a plastic bag full of weekend wares sags
unable to straighten his cowed

As days go, this has not been one of the best

But after giving myself a good talking to

I've realized not all days are created equal

It's the lunatic fringe that are wreaking havoc

Ask anyone on the street and I'm certain

99.9% are peace loving folks who just want

To be left alone to live a happy and peaceful
