Fringe
4/27/16
Beyond the fringe
So long as I live
My all I give
Don't care if you call it a sin
Or if it burns a bridge
I work above and below the ridge
And I can't always win
While the planets continue to spin
You have no idea what I did
And have never been in my shoes or skin
I'm positive
You're story was not always corroborative
Don't you fib
Or mess with me or my kin
The weather at times muggy
The same could be said for events turning bloody
Rather abruptly
Daily or monthly
Sad to see anything happen unjustly
Near and far from where the terrain was muddy
To put it bluntly
No longer is it all very funny
I've got to get that money
From the city to the country
Any day and night, regardless of it's sunny
Still this life is lovely
And I feel lucky
To have people that love me
All these dreams
I don't always understand what it means
Even when twenty thousand leagues under the seas
Between you and me
It is not always what it seems
