Observations of a Free Spirit

I live around
people
who fail
to communicate
their big
emotions
and walk on
eggshells.

There are
so many
other things
for them to
fix and heal,
such as
their own
mental health.

Perhaps
my light
is why
I am mostly
happy and
my parents
are so
spiritually
unwell.

FREE SPIRIT

If only I knew me when I was young,
my wits were all that I had.
Free to roam, I was seldom at home,
unwanted, unwatched, but not sad.

I felt so free when I couldn't be caught.
I learned to live off of the land.
They stopped searching one day, when I ran away,
so I never went back there again.

I learned the hard way, most of my life.
The lone wolf's freedom is earned.
I sold my trust for beauty and lust.
My freedom had a price, so I learned.

A man with a code, neither borrowed nor owed,
by his own rules he's free to play,
not hand-me-downs from a moral ghost town,
his righteous path whence he'll not stray.

What did you say? I cannot hear
Say it again, if you don’t mind
Or if you do, I’ll go from here
Forever lost and undefined
I’ll dig that soil of my own garden
I’ll watch the sunsets every day
Will never ever beg your pardon
For any guilt on me you’d lay
Cos I was sentenced long ago
To be as free as gentle breeze
That blows whatever way I go
Stops when I ask him about this..

free spirit

the cat walked by
it didn't care for
my hand

As Below, So Above

I walk the stars for I am not bound

I surf the seas for I am not found

I travel on the wind for I am free

I grow in the earth like a tall tree

I am not you nor are you me

But from the same eye we can see

Work together on a different frequency

Yet we vibrate and share our energy

We were one from the start of the same heart

A world of division and illusion tore us apart

We forgot who we are, who we are meant to be

This world we struggle through individually

The day will come when again we will be one

Spirit and flesh joined together under the sun

As one we will make a new world of love

And all will be as below, so above.

God is my spirit
God is my soul
God is the one
Who makes my life whole.

I've no need for religion
For me to believe
For God is the love
That resides in me.

Free Spirit

I've washed my hands of religion
rather than let it brainwash me.
I'm no longer a prisoner being held captive
by those bars of lies and deceit.

Religions build walls and divide us
holding God as their hostage is their way.
Preaching the only way to heaven
Is to believe in everything they say.

But I'm no longer a prisoner of religion
my mind has been set free.
I believe in goodness and spiritual love
and that God resides in me.

Floating on the white wind
Riding red desire despite sin
Every encounter seems destined
Even chocolate chaos inspires grin

Singing sandy melodies
Peach passion song of joy
Intoxicating words of green
Reeling love of girl of boy
Into denim dance with destiny
Together holding hands love is thrilling

Time is Nigh

with pride - I fall
with envy - I fall
boasting - I fall
know-it-all - I fall
I claim - I fall
with anger - I fall
with hate - I fall

only in silence, have I found...
I can get back up
again
and again
and again

in observance of why
I fell

Restful by the window, drawn to a scent,
subtle, euphoric, fragrance of delight,
presence surrendered, granting love consent,
drawn into a domain, full of God’s light.

This immersion signalled we are complete,
even though at times we may not cognise
fullness of being-ness that’s bliss replete,
since we are prone to weigh, measure and size.

The core of our being is always free
and what is freedom but choice to connect
with existence, unshackled from mind tree,
that we frolic about in joy unchecked.

Who we truly are, we never forget ~
Soul swims in deep oceans yet gets not wet

Once one foot into the grave

No more the chance a heart to save

But if a ghost you're not to be

One chance to set a spirit free

Love Is a Free Spirit

Love is a free spirit,
That is best suited to forgiving souls,
With deep rooted faith,
And in which hope springs eternal.

Mere flesh and bones by themselves,
Are seldom places,
Where Love can make a home,
Strong enough to keep envy and hate at bay.

I’ve lived my life
As a free spirit,
And I’ll hopefully
Do so when I die,
So cast my ashes
To the four-winds
And allow my soul
To soar up to the sky …
