Free Spirit

God is my spirit
God is my soul
God is the one
Who makes my life whole.

I've no need for religion
For me to believe
For God is the love
That resides in me.

Hi John, I think the appropriate thing to say here is congratulations on being a good and ethical person. That counts for more than anything else for all of us. Smiles!!

I think you have penned modern man's farewell to religion... which is always followed by fanatics' return to it, as we see throughout the world today, in Africa, the Middle East, and even in parts of the USA.

Dear brother John, as long as we live as good as one should, we’ll be alright if we’re guided by the Light… Sis Beryl

- Religion is often a driving force behind today's wars and conflicts... the most important thing is to be at peace with what you believe in, John - A lovely poem :) - hugs
