Vocalize New York City Park

Eyes didn't organize
The tent drop
Code violation
Ten days an hour, so what week
Use on the monthly?
We not gonna speak
Lost voices in bravado money, can't reach
Such is that meaning why?
Answer four times a second
Birth control that

Building code violation
All over California
Hop
Y'all crawled hip?
Pay my rent

Serendipity

At a nature-type center,
We looked at displays
Of the wildlife that’s local,
Describing their ways.

From a room that said, “Meetings,”
A woman came out
And approached with a smile
And nary a doubt.

“You look like a quilter,”
She said, just to me.
“I am!” I replied,
So she said, “Come and see!”

At twelve or so tables,
With sewing machines,
Were fabrics and projects
And twelve quilting queens.

They all come together
Four times every year
Just to kibitz and sew,
Schlepping all of their gear.

Their work was amazing
And thrilling to see
And then they extended
An invite to me.

“Come join us!” I couldn’t,
But what a delight
To encounter these women
At such a strange site.

Premium Member I AM HYPERION

I Am Hyperion So Tall, So High, I Take Flight
He who goes Above, I Am the Light in the Twighlight
I Am the Sun, the Moon, Illuming the Veils of Sight
Ever So Luminous, I Illumine the Plights
 Soaring Upright, my Spirit Ever-Higher
from a Spark to a Flame, now I Blaze in Fire
Born and Reborn and Reborn again, now I'm Four Times Brighter
Four Times Greater, my Wings Ever-Wider
Feathers of Might, I Sail above the Stormy Nights
Ever they Glisten, I have Risen, Thrice

Premium Member Professor Snudzs Analysis

I’ve studied the matter, compared statistics,
evaluated lives with unbiased prejudices,
my research and facts painstakingly sourced –
though four times married, four times divorced –
call me daft, incompetent, or feckless
my conclusions are sound not reckless,
and the indisputable truth that emerges?
Men and women make the worse marriages.

Four Surgeries In As Many Months

Four times they opened the flesh and bone,
Four times I woke to a world of stone—
No river of morphine, no drift or dream,
Only the scream behind the scream.
White coats turned with empty hands,
No balm for fire that sears and brands.

I wept in shadows of hospital light,
Each hour a tunnel with no end in sight.
If coins had clinked inside my palm,
I'd trade the law for stolen calm—
A vial, a capsule, a pill that's laced,
To soften the vise of time and place.

But silence crushed the walls of my mind,
And reason fled what it could not find.
Three days I wandered in jagged flame,
A nameless ghost without a name.
Suicide bloomed like a blood-red rose,
A constant whisper the daylight knows.

This is no mercy, this is no care—
This oath they swore hangs in the air,
A mockery writ on parchment scroll
While I, in agony, begged for soul.
If kindness lives in the sky’s great dome,
Let it lift me gently, carry me home.

I ask not gold, I ask not fame,
Only to breathe without the flame.
To see the sky turn dusk to day,
And feel the stars not slip away.
O let the wind move through my chest,
Before I lie in endless rest.

Premium Member Your Question

How on earth we have found each other?
You asked in one of night messages
In the facebook groups its one way or another
On the same train we were passengers
We got off at the same station
We took the same street to the house
With roses and other flowers plantation
A home where you lived with your spouse
The carers teams you have to manage
Four times a day in a row
The aftereffects of covid brought fatal damage
His passing was a terrible blow
We were always supportive in hardships
Still the hard times remain like forever
You were fighting type 1 diabetes
It required a huge endeavour
We lived close together though miles away
Doing everything what should’ve been done
How on earth we have met one day?
Can’t recall now, my dearest one.

Premium Member Plagued by Memories

Cursed

I am plagued by things of the now: daily
physical aggravations for which
doctors have given me no cure.
Memories can’t afflict me
the way my body has
been bedeviled by
ailments which do
not even
have a
name.
I
suppose
I can say
the memory
of a physician
having injected me
four times with a substance that
gives some people dire side effects
haunts me to this day. Cursed is this world
by doctors who are meant to do no harm.

Manischewitz Wine

Every year for Passover,
There’s Manischewitz wine.
It’s Concord Grape and super sweet;
For holiday, it’s fine.

Some people will not drink it,
Since it’s syrupy and thick,
But for Seders every year, it is
The only wine I’d pick.

Throughout the pre-meal reading,
There are times to fill your cup.
It’s expected that you’ve drained your glass
Four times before you sup.

I guess in ancient times they knew
Exactly where this led –
Tipsy diners wouldn’t notice
Matzoh standing in for bread.

PREGNANT

I courted a girl
Who turned out to be a whore.
She was hairy and had black eyes
What the pimps say
What does beauty mean
Well:
-Hairy woman with black eyes
Awesome woman.
She took me to an apartment
In Plaza Tirso de Molina
In Madrid capital.
She mounted me
I mounted her without a condom
And, a few days later, she told me:
-She was pregnant
Because I did it well.
Upset
And with no desire to be a father
I went to Casa de Campo
To go around four times
To ask the whores
Who traffic there
If they knew her
Because, maybe
That child conceived was not mine
But someone else's.
I told her it
And she got very angry with me.
She told me:
-You will be the father.
Wait for the child to come out
And you will see.
I told my mother it
Who was rambling
Almost finishing
And she answered me:
-Son, to what's done chest.
Don't be upset that you fell in love
With a whore.
All women are whores.
True whores are made
To enlighten men
And virgin and holy whores
To walk around in the dark.

I Died Four Times

Inked wax

	Oiled blood

Black with red highlights

	Eating dirt with a spoon

		No food

			The bugs are already
			eating me away

	Where is the
	dignity I was
	promised?

The honor of being a man?
I now laugh and spit in the
face of such a stupid idea.

	I will never be human.
All those who know my name
will die before they say it.
