Premium MemberInsanity Floated Through the Door

Insanity floated through the door
An aberration with wild hair entered
Her mouth was open, blood ran out
Down her tunic, past her belt

She felt deranged, a lunatic from where?
There was a madness in the room now
I felt unbalanced, frenzied myself.
Where was my rationality? Why wasn’t I running?

Her fingernails formed into red claws
Almost talon-like, I was thinking of a turkey buzzard
Something unholy that would readily dig into roadkill.
She flashed her dead black eyes toward me.

I froze; terrified.
Wanted to scream, but nothing came out.
She began floating toward me.

Premium MemberHe Floated By Without a Care

He floated by without a care or a worry
The clouds moved slowly, they did not scurry
Cosmos never gets excited in any way
Watching a boy in a bubble, seemed tame today

He did not wave, just kept looking straight ahead
If he keeps traveling, will he end upside down or on his head?
No one cared, it was a lazy, hazy, crazy day.
We watched as the boy in the cosmic bubble floated away.

River Pt Ii:Memory

I remember,I remember when the river flowed,
I remember,I recall when my soul floated,
With every flow,

Don't fall,remember the river,
Don't drown,remember it flowed,
Don't die,remember it cleansed,

Flow me away river, gently down your path,
Gently down your stream,
Numb the poison that sinks with every flow,

I remember,I remember when the flowers withered,
Flow away this winter, this winter that withers,
With every flow,

I remember the boat,my boat in that winter,
Rickety boat,Rickety by that winter,
But I remember,I remember the river flowed,

Don't fall,remember the river,
Don't drown,remember it flowed,
Don't die,remember it cleansed,

River, 'O' river you manned the station,
Guiding the boat gently through,
Numbing the poison brought by that winter,

For I remember,I remember when you flowed,
I remember,I recall when you floated my soul,
With every flow, you saved, from the poison, from that winter,

I shall not fall from the boat, you flow,
I shall not drown, you float,
I shall not die,you save,

I remember,I remember when you flowed,
I remember,I recall when I floated,
With every flow you saved me from the poison and that winter.

Premium MemberShe Floated Through My Soul

For two hundred years the girl with the candelabra frequented the house
Visiting inhabitants in their dreams, or when they were awake.
Lost in this house years ago, prior to her death, unsure why.
616 West Bramblewood Court, was it the address?

Many held seances over the years, to pull her out, to ask her questions.
She answered a few of them with her name, nothing else, no last name.
There was speculation, but no one came anywhere close to the truth.
For the truth had eluded her. She could not share what she did not know.

An empath moved into the house in 2021 and she met the girl.
Spoke to her while she worked, included her in every conversation.
Told the girl how she could go into the light and find her lost relatives.
When the girl left, she gave the empath a hug goodbye.

Upon leaving, she floated through my soul, the empath said.
I knew that she could not tell me what she did not know.
I feel she had Alzheimer or a form of dementia.
Totally correct, she had helped the girl return to her people.

Birds Were Flown Fish Were Floated

when respect is the left acceptance is the right wing
a bird s eye view shouldn t be a world as slashed with slashes
the way it was sliced years ago
shouldn t be the reason for our loathing

when you look beyond the stained glass only the flesh remains
the flesh that is cooked different but tastes the same
they forgot that there are recipes out there
as good as theirs

they used symbols and labels to divide we shouldn t have followed the flow
we must hold hands if we want to grow

they say dogs are people s best friends perhaps because they don t see color
when did we forget that we are all in this together?

birds are flown
fish are floated
by a greater will power
so let s use ours to adjust
those who want to transform the slashes
into full stops by ending us

Premium MemberShe Floated Into My Dreams That Day

She floated into my dreams that day,
Stealing my wealth,
Shaking my roots, ignoring my prior convictions.

She had a different opinion,
Determined to shake me and shine me.
I was a boot, tossed around on the bed,
Tucked under,
Thrown into a wall,
Tried and discarded.

She floated into my dreams that day
And took over my schemata,
Obliterating it,
Crucifying my former beliefs,
Throwing them into the closet of lost things,

I dared not retrieve them,
Getting used to my new stance
As a boot,
Changing myself completely,
A new shoe,
Not fitting on the old feet,
But converting myself to a new glorious foundation
Of spiritual truth,
A changeling, forever, and completely.

A Leaf Floated

A leaf floated to the ground
In its silence without a sound

As I stood and watched it fall
There was a purpose to it all

As a death that was foretold
And an ending that was bold

For there is a time for life and laughter
And an ending as your life does matter.

Floated

I've floated from
cloud to cloud and
forced a meeting of hearts.
To wash the blood from my hands,
I've lost the pieces and
broken the parts.

You needed the love
but
everyones an enemy.

Thoughts aren't clear,
they drift from the near,
they drift onto fear,
those thoughts aren't clear.

Premium MemberWhilst Dead Sunflowers Floated

I woke in a sweat, was it a dream
A heron and a girl near a stream
Whilst dead sunflowers floated
My mind drug induced coated
Have my thoughts reached their extreme

Premium MemberThe Day My Heart Floated Away

Years and tears
High and lows
Courting, smooching
Our loving grows

We meet after work
Go for drinks
Meet our friends
Our hearts in sync

Holidays we take
Our excitement grows
Parents to be
Our first one shows

Parents we are
Over the moon
Three more times
In your mother cocoon

Their now teenagers and older
Where we are the same
Two individual pictures
But not in the same frame

Our day to day ripples
Like stones thrown in a pond
Are the distant memories
When we used to respond

To look back on our yesterdays
As if it was today
For now it seems
The day my heart floated away

Floated To Heaven On a Dream

The trial lasted two days,
she was accused of being a witch,
no one expressed sympathy.
The accusers were unconvincing witnesses,
they stuck to a script,
and the truth was stained, and ripped,
she was found guilty,
it was to be death by fire,
her thoughts drifted, higher and higher,
with anger her mind was soaked,
hatred build as she choked
not only with the injustice, but the smoke,
mortified,
horrified,
terrified,
she accepted her fate,
skin sizzled,
but she did not scream
the sky opened and let out a soft drizzle,
and she floated to heaven on a dream.

Hope Floated To Her (Sequel To My Hope Still Floats)

Upon the lands, so wishing venture
The light of love’s a beacon of hope
For I will come, I’m so indentured
Together, life, we’ll learn to cope
The rain subsides now on my vessel
My hands grasp firmly on the wheel
The ship, with sea, no longer wrestles
As now I know a future, real
My prayers were answered, sure and true
I’ll come to you, this now I say

My prison, sea, it held with fury
My heart set free, I’m on my course
My love is strong, to not be buried
As you became my guiding force
Oh, stand on shore, wait my arrival
I’ll be there with you in short a time
You are the reason for my survival
If lost, then that would be the crime
For losing you was not an option
With you then, my heart’s bells chime
