Flagitious Poems | Examples

Premium Member The Leaf

The frosty morn was sullen...
My breath lay frigid to the air.
I walked a darkened wintry trail
To enhance this stark affair.

I sat upon a wooded bench
To give aid to my relief...
Beneath a tree... in winter's grip
That bore a single leaf.

How brave to mock the nature
Of a flagitious winter at its height.
This tree was made of sterner stuff...
I was enthralled by such a sight.

This majestic oak would not submit...
It would not lay stripped and bare
And despite a wintry ill-intent...
It gleaned the morning air.

Each day I'd pass that gallant tree
With its cherished leaf to see.
If it could last through winter's wrath...
There yet was hope for me.

But winter shan't be trifled with
And the oak would bear the cost.
When another day... I walked that way...
The treasured leaf was lost.

I sat again... the wooded bench
As cold whipped me to the bone.
The leaf had died a martyr's death...
Now I was all alone.

               The End

Forced Nature

The redamancy flowed from within,
jumping down the line,
the nacarat sun;
blinding the ones alive,
listen to the canorous sounds;
blowing in the wind,
even though they are flagitious,
their nature seems forced,
how vociferous they can be;
lacking intrinsic will,
dripping with such disabuse,
we are fairly full of commination;
thus, we must sashay in the other direction,
the dreadful dream of flying free,
receiving nothing, yet staying fain;
their misery is effable at best,
dropping left, flipping right,
their beginning was left behind;
deep within the past of time,
any and all forgetting their Elysian minds.

The Sun I Cant See

You're beautiful
You know that
Your eyes glimmering
In the ocean light
I saw the devil with outrageous smile
Then saw the angel in the walk to fly
Dispensing colors in sky
Hindering my days forever.

You and me
Not a story yet over
As I lay down my head
The sight of you
Immersed in water
Me lying breathless in your sea
Its flagitious for me
Yet the red star in the sky unknown
I choose over the known.

You're infectious
I know that
My heart races
In your inconspicuous eyes
Day and night
I have a dark and thats you
I have a light and thats you
Imprecations I spell, whisper
At infinite nights.

Abandoned

Such love that has imprisoned me to many hells,
Neglected nights navigate the pernicious smells…
With fiendish fury left flagitious and forsaken,
Amidst cold caves of ice the demons have awaken;

A virtuous vixen like a deceptive desired disciple,
An edacious Eve offering her appetizing apple…
I am enslaved and entombed upon loves lament,
Left to repellently rot within calamitous cement;

Relinquished ravaged ruins of my heart remain,
Parasitical palpitations penetrate pensive pain…
Derelict desertions devour the longing light,
Empty echoes decapitate within shunning sight;

Where slings and arrows cancerously conjugate,
And where stranded silent sorrows accumulate.

Mine Penned Umbrage Metes Rebuttal

I apologize at any unintentional
     flagitious, egregious,
     deleterious et cetera and
atrocious (asper wording),
     which accidental faux pas
     toward an allpoetry participant
     named skypriceireland, who brand
did me with

     crookedly unflattering feedback,
     and practically demand
did, an explanation,
     which hoop fully
     clarifies intended feedback,
     thus aye expand
utmost sincerity and perceives
     how my anger got fanned

when purposeful intent grand
lee and roundly surmising
if the Jesse (un-named child) referenced
     in the poem played

     an influential invisible hand
as the whims of children
     can be so inventive
     absent any parental oversight
     to inveigle being baited
     from kiddie make believe island

a desired outcome, rather
     exclaim with com manned
double delight at such un-planned
Hi Yo Silver braying ejaculation,
     thus upon this
     expostulation I stand.

Premium Member Easy As It Looks

Easy to get along with
except with myself

Kind and supportive
to everyone else

Outwardly auspicious
while inwardly flagitious

Gentle and sweet
in everyone's books

But being me isn't
as easy as it looks

Heaven's Tears of Joy

It’s getting colder and the rain won’t stop,
The clouds are the slavery of these reigning drops…
I heard the bell ringing, and a herd of people singing,
It’s time for a mass to celebrate the freedom at last…

It is the day of liberty, where the township was freed from slavery,
It was the end of a fiend leader, whose sovereignty is like a hell…
Beastly and hungry for powers, and flagitious to poor,
Making the whole town’s life tangled and so miserable…

In God’s power and mercies the liberty was reclaimed,
Evil didn’t succeed to God’s faithful people here on earth…
Prayers are their mighty swords, and their faith became their shield,
Heaven’s tears of joy are now pouring on my head…

Realities of Illusions

Realities of Illusions

In my idiosyncratic INSANITY
How do I reach hypocritical HUMANITY?
If I used pretentious PROFANITY
Would it create a maniacal MENTALITY?
For I’m tired of the belligerent BRUTALITY
As I try to restore mystical MORALITY

REALITY of illegitimate illusions within sepulchral solutions
Within our life’s VITALITY, we lack veracious vivacity

It is just a frugal FORMALITY to escape ubiquitous URBANITY
Within innate INANITY the phoenix shall rise in its virginal VOLCANITY
All this in my MUNDANITY hoping to avoid a flagitious FATALITY.

UNSUPPORTED CODE DONNYBROOK
Egregious Nonplus:
A hopeless cause.
Comfortless, lachrymose
A mutinous repause.
Recalcitrant – All love is now absent
From grinding flagitious jaws.
Treasonous laws!
Justice? Just because.
We are allies of chaos.
This lost cause
Is your failure
Your loss,
Not ours.
We are diamonds of the future.
Your antiquated assumptions,
Are just archaic flaws.

Premium Member Perspective of a Widow -

The undressed truth
of her opinion
was more luminous than a palm full
of Persian pearls,

the silly insanity
of her wavering romance was too flagitious
and uncanny
for the engineers
of reality's dialogue,

her and I indulged in a suspicion of Reason
and she spoke,
" Waltzing does the crooked shadow,
rectifying does the balance
of the prudent orchestra;
harmonizing does the baffling chorus
of courteous belief ", says she,
" disgusted is the composer
of tragic complexity and sympathetic gesture ",

I commented but was soon corrected
by her primordial wisdom,
the movement of my mangled objection
was at a halt,as she detailed,

" Falling is the lesuire
to a confused spirit,
jealousy is the mobilization
of an infatuated curiosity,
but what is difficult to apprehend
is the still composure
of a natural gift,
which yeilds to no fault,
the immaculate reflection
