My Firstborn Son

He watches, observes and loves with all his heart
Reservedly waiting to see reciprocation or active participation
Thinking, offering ideas for all to embrace,
Satisfaction to behold and a joy that floods his young face.

Considering others in wake of their pain
He goes the extra mile to ensure protection and such detailed accomplishment
While allowing others to make their own mistakes,
He reflects a sweet combo of trust and consideration.

I loved you beyond the night
my heart stopped, ushering you forth

I loved you with every fiber of my being
leaving to be bread winner

I loved you with such closeness
you were fledgling beneath my arm pit

I, who loved you in pain and heartache
refused to give you up

Because I loved the way you stood
awakening life in me when I fell

I loved you, though I was green with youth
in my veins; the iris of mine eyes as small as my pupils

Premium MemberBeautiful Blessing

My firstborn's face was ever beautiful,
and, try as it might, nothing will compare.
Its light has my heart--indisputable!
A blessing I try to share with great care.
With awe, I find new blessings in the air

Premium MemberMy Incident With Prime Minster Pierre Trudeau's Firstborn

Young Justin Trudeau who was just a kid,
Pranked Canada's secret service and hid,
Had told him not to be here,
Warned by his father Pierre,
Called, "Young prince is on the asteroid vid."

The firstborn poem kicks, emerges struggling

First Born - Redux

What of those dreams that in our mind
Seek distant hopes and in them find
That love and life may be combined

Awakening, our thoughts commence
Become aware in sweet suspense
Of all that new life represents

For as the coming years unfold
Despite what history may mold
Remains a future yet untold

And so, in timid confidence
Of still unproven competence
Uneasily face providence

‘Til broaching wisdom born of birth
Exposes fundamental worth
Of all that’s meaningful on Earth

And in that moment of delight
To smile absurdly at the sight
When everything in life … is right

Apologies for not taking the time to do this right the first time.

First Born

What of those dreams that in our mind
Seek distant hopes and in them find
That love and life may be combined

Awakening, our thoughts commence
Become aware of real events
And all new life soon represents

Approaching wisdom born in birth
Exposes fundamental worth
Of all that’s meaningful on Earth

That as the coming life unfolds
Despite all history could mold
Remains a future yet untold

But now, with lacking confidence
In yet unproven competence
Impatiently face providence

Until that moment of delight
To smile absurdly at the sight
Learn everything of life … is right

It haunted me
Sedated me
Morning, noon and night
It blurred my sight.

Invisible to everyone
I was bogged by steam and fog
You could say I felt giddy
I was somebody, hidden by
Traumas barging in, and
Muted by old school sayings
Green stilled my mind
Though smooth chocolate was I.

The smell of salt and Sea
The sight of pastels on canvas of sky
Those fishermen casting nets, dawn and eve
The sound of seagulls fishing
The Caribbean Sea was near, yet foreign.

I was lone virgin, when
I called you forth as friend
Together, we'd strum cords of life
Surely, we would learn wrong from right.

I would love the color blue again
And savor perfume from wild flowers
And sea breeze
And share with you my past;
Each limit of view I knew.

Never again would I ingest loneliness
My future I'd share with you, my friend
I felt it in my bones.

Letter To My Firstborn - Beaurain

My Dearest Child,

I fell in love with you,
from even before you were born.
You were the cutest little baby -
You were my firstborn

I can't wait to walk with you,
Each step of the way,
I love to watch you growing up,
To see you bloom day by day

You make me proud,
When you always try your best,
You just never give up,
Until you've mastered each test.

I love you dearly,
I love you true,
You mean the world to me,
And these are my wishes for you:

I wish you health,
I wish you peace,
I wish you wealth
that will never seize.

I wish you courage,
I wish you strength,
I wish you patience,
Beyond earthly lengths.

But above all,
I wish you wisdom and love,
In short,
I wish you Beautiful Abundant Blessings from Above!

Al my Love!
Mom
