Premium MemberFireball

a yearning of alabaster guilt given birth
from this mouth of words mesmerising
like rings of Saturn, behold encroached
by your retort, cutting if not comic, life
adjacent to corners of some death, you
lit fires with a tongue and let them burn
reeling in oceans, as salamander heads
lined exotic craters of timely eruptions
yet honey melts heaven in a single kiss

Premium MemberFireball Duet

equal top billing
Leonids and Taurids show
~fireball duet

November 15, 2020

The Leonid and Taurid meteor showers promise to light up the night sky this week with shooting stars and bright fireballs. During the next two days (November 16 & 17, 2020) the best time to see the meteor showers will be between midnight and dawn on both mornings, wherever you are in the world.
.
The Leonids are caused by dust and debris from the small comet 55P/Tempel-Tuttle, which takes 33 years to orbit the sun. Typically, there are between 10 and 15 meteors per hour. The Taurids are caused as the Earth passes through the debris of the comet 2P/Encke each year from September to November. Check online to determine the best time to view in your area of the world.

Global Fireball

No more war

We don't it anymore,

To many kids have died

Too many mums and dad's have cried,

For no real cause

Except power, greed and control,

To tighten their hold

Over all that they've destroyed,

From their luxury ivory towers,

Quaffing champagne

While we feel the pain,

Because of their bloody tyrannical reign,

Time and time again

They submit us to the same,

Violence again and again

Innocent dying

And it's a major shame,

Upon all humanity,

Who allow this to carry on,

These wars will end us all

In one big global fireball.

Atomic Fireball

I sit here
Writing my poetry,
A tray of atomic fireballs
Sit in front of me.

I put one in my mouth
It feels like my tongue's on fire,
Feeling like I walked
Across a live wire.

The Aftermath of Fireball Friday

fireball friday,
hello
you know i did not
miss you at all
the cool air freezes
my eyes favorably
foggy
i relax inside the
zonule of aftermath
paradise
with green tea
ginger ale in hand
and carelessness
concrete in stature,
i start the hose and
retire that fireball
that is merciless to
the touch
i cut on some roy
orbison because i
happen to dig the
man
after that, me,
mitch, and jenny
will take a ride to
the havana moon to
meet ole chuck berry

i will then become
some kind of fool
with joe and the
tams and enjoy the
moonlight and music
with ruby and the
romantics
fireball friday,
goodbye and good
riddance....for
now....until morbid
monday....(EXPLETIVE!)

Premium MemberWitch's Fireball

She pulls back her arm
In order to forcefully produce
A ball of fire
To land upon a man
Wandering alone down a lonely street
Just minding his own business
To be instantly killed
By a fireball

She produced this fire
In order to fulfill a quota
That quota for Halloween
In order for her powers
To be complete
Forcefully she throws these fireballs
To gather men’s souls
And contort them inside her

She laughs an eerie laugh
Knowing her time has come
She will rule this town
So all will know her
And fear
And they will worship
Everything about her
And her evil ways

She now slips into the night
Knowing she only needs one more
One more unsuspecting soul
To be hers
And everything will fall
Into her powers
A powerful day that will be
She will terrorize the town

Premium MemberThe Sun Set Fireball Red

The sun set like a fireball but invisible
Clouds had the it hidden from view
So the sun won the battle
Casting the whole western cloudy sky red
Even clouds wrapped to the northeast paled pink
Beauty for humans ~ animals? to behold
Blessings to end the day, excitement at God's paintbrush
Thank you God for your love and bounty
