Dangbert was snorting and snarling and gnashing his teeth
He is feverously ferocious, full of anger and grief.
The old dragon watched, from her mountain seat high.
Thrilled to death of her son, who was scaring this guy.
The Effects of the 2019 Pandemic
According to reports from the CDC,
A mysterious virus has invaded our country.
COVID –19 is the name it’s been given,
Derived from its source, and the year of it's discovery!
Questions all about, as to what, when, where, why and how?
Hospitals overcrowded, pondering, what do we do now?
Epidemiologists working feverously, trying to understand,
This invisible element that, has infiltrated our land!
Businesses are closing, leaving many without a job,
As this pandemic tightens its grip and Liberties are being robbed.
We are all being held captive, by an enemy we cannot see,
Leaving many to whisper, Lord, help me understand please.
Suddenly, out of nowhere a voice can be heard,
“Fear not, for I have You All in the palm of my hands.”

Today i had intended to be robed in green,
And yet I sit at home under self quarantine.
COVID-19 has caused unusually rough sledding,
Trying to avoid, perhaps some super spreading.
This self isolation, brings to my face a frown,
But by those knowing best, I’m urged to hunker down.
While many work feverously, behind the scene,
I’m a fusty old man not wearing any green.
DEADERN HADES
What in the world am I doing in this place
If the creatures see me I know they'll give chase
The full moon glistens through the trees
I have to leave this place, don't you see
I see them feverously searching for my trail
Horrible looking creatures with great long tails
I'll reach for a limb in this tree and hang on
If I hang on this limb long enough maybe they'll be gone
They creep, they crawl, they slither through the woods
I had to stay out of sight , they best that I could
I feel the limb breaking, Lord I know I'm not worth a dime
I see their mouths gaping, I guess it's feeding time.
A fragrant flower left by the glamorous gods
For me to praise and panoramically ponder
A monolithic maiden rising from the pods
As each day my hopes grow fanatically fonder
Within the day she is the shimmering summer sun
Within the night she is the mated magnetic moon
Oh the wishful web that I have spontaneously spun
So I may wakefully wallow in my candescent cocoon
A congenial carnivorous Venus fly trap
Feverously floating toward her fallacious fumes
Euphorically embracing as her wings begin to flap
As I find myself in one of her tenebrous tombs
Left to rootly rot as I rapturously retire
For I shall be known as a disciple of desire.

Limerence - Poetry Contest
By Nayda Ivette Negron
Where a fire once burned
nothing is left but spiraling smoke
and charred memories fading
with the waning of the frighten heat
chasing after the thinning smoke.
The singed lips of my heart---blistered
with the watered pain of lost love
feverously struggle to utter the asinine
question: Why?
Knowing very well the fool’s answer:
If you play with fire, you’ll get burned!
Shivering from the dept I have sunken---
diving into the black hole of mind, I search
the darkness of vanity to forgive myself
for failing to gather the kindling.
You feverously win
Love
Lord
Up we go
We can’t go anywhere but up
As we are changed from glory to glory
We don’t go backward
It may feel like that
But forward only we go
Our ways are all planned out
Feverously right and error free
Fright not
Fret not
Drive by our fearless determination
Finds our ways
Go on
Up and beyond
Drive
You and I
Great is our Lord
Who is our gift
He came to the world to save us
He righted what was once wrong
He invites us in His goodness
He graces us with His presence
He will great things for our good
We know good from evil
Because of Him
We know right from wrong
Because He graciously shows us
We know insights and wisdom
Because He shares upon us
Great is our Lord
Who came to the world one day
And forever we are indebted to Him
We feverously grace His love
To one and to all
We honor His keeping
We graciously welcome His presence
We come to know Him
With grace and contrite heart
With our opened yieldedness
With our love and affection
With arrayed wildness
He tames us
He loves us
He offers us a great governing
He graces us with deeds
He inhabits in us
And makes His gracious presence known
He is good – so good
We can be
We can have
We can find
We can give
We can go
We can do
We can all win
Because of Him
Jesus -
King of the world
Something’s under my skin
Afflicting my every breath
I might lose this conflict
Maybe if I
Open a window of new breezes
Rattling in my attenuate conscious
So now I am
Feverously irascible
At the only creator of myself
The path was lined with nails and pieces of glass
And I collect them along the way
And spit them far from my heart
Because I’m run out of origin
I am standing in a puddle
Nearly empty
We walk about bristly in the heat of the day,not knowing when it will happen.
Some watch mere predictions on picture screens before setting out to complete routine tasks;
but who is to say what will happen for the unknown dwells with us.
I see a beautiful lady frisking her hair, wiping prespire from her mascaraed face whilst
pushing a stroller along the busy sidewalk.
A dog sits in the shadow of a street sign; its mouth gaped in a state of exasperation.
Without warning it happens...........the first wave of attack.
An obscure lone drop comes down and taps you on your shoulders.
You look around feverously ...but see no one in view.
An audious rumbling is heard above your head sending everyone in motion.
The downpour occurs and the smell of dampened earth cuts the once humid air;
The ground is filled with myriads of liquid puddles collected in different places.
Those who are armed hold up their array of colorful shields to fend off the heavy invasion ,
whilst those who are not, scamper about in astonished utter despair.
