Premium MemberPRAISE BE TO GOD FOR INSTRUCTING US TO BE HUMBLE

July 19 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Proverbs 22-23

Key Verse – Proverbs 22:4 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.

PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR INSTRUCTING US TO BE HUMBLE

Praise be to God for instructing us to be humble making us:
Spirit-filled
Scripturally framed
Salvation, fully founded
Satisfaction, festively flourishing
Sanctification-fueled, faith-furnished

Proverbs 22:19 Praise be to the Lord for
bracing us to trust against:
Attacks of apathy
Afflictive addiction
Abusive accusing authorities
Apprehensions of accursed appeal
Anxieties arising from arrogant affairs

Proverbs 23:17 Praise be to the Saviour for
warning not to envy sinners, but to:
Rest in His grace
Rejoice in His goodness
Repent from greediness-gain
Remember His generosity’s glow
Rely on His great governance and guidance. Amen!

Premium MemberNightshift

they're cold but they don't judge
blue lights respond to everyone
even her, so small, hiding
in a wardrobe
tree lights are other lights
sparkling joyously, festively
it was difficult watching my own play
after her, so small, smoke filled,
never getting to play with whatever
she got under those other lights

I Love You Octoberly

I want you to know
That I love you more
Than all of my Octobers
Which is not to say
There are a lot of them
Even though there are
But what I mean is

I love you more warmly
Than hot cinnamon apple cider
On a brisk autumn morning
When I can just see my breath

I love you more festively
Than pumpkins, gourds
And Indian corn
Decorating a porch

I love you more crisply
Than the crunch of brown
And red and yellow leaves
Underneath my boots

But most of all
I love you more deeply
Than the good candies
I keep digging for
All the way down
To the bottom of the pillowcase
During the long walk home
At the end of the night
After all of the front stoops
Have gone dark.

Premium MemberDivine Hallowed Win

Wondrous hallowed win midst fellowship* treat
blest blissfulness around stewardship fleet
there brothers and sisters each other greet
“God’s love be with you” as they gladly meet.

Divine gathering, festively complete
binding heart and soul, devoid of deceit
offering blessings, surpassing trick’s cheat
being health-vigilant for veggie meat.

Triumphant prayer moments now defeat
pandemic-caused fear and doubt-filled heart beat
while faith in the Lord drives reaching-out feet
blazed by life-transforming revival heat.

Gospel sharing along “Halloween Street"
Christ’s grace glows to reign with His peace so sweet
as kids enjoy Bible stories on their seat
ready for fruit candies they long to eat.

*1John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Premium MemberThe Harvest Dance

The hills have come alive today,
with the dancing of the leaves.
The wind was playing songs of love,
 it really was unique!

To see them waltz across the sky,
then stop, and off they'd fly.
They'd do a dip and take a bow,
as the next pair flutters by.

The birds were perched up in the trees,
 to see this autumn show.
They'd cheer and sing their melodies
with the wind as it would blow.

The oaks and elms and maple trees,
have all joined in the show.
They'd dressed their leaves so festively,
they drop them and they'd blow.

This is a magical season in time,
the Harvest dance comes but once a year.
Once the trees lose their leaves,
 then winter will soon appear.

Premium MemberFrom Failure Fright

Fervent faith in the powerful Father God frees from fear of failure fright
Forward fleeing for protection-fortress from petty fretting fight
Faithfully praying midst fight’s plight of perfect plan’s fervor
Festively feeding along flowing peace-fulfilling flavor.

Fixed* on the Lord from frowning foolish pitfall’s frame
Favoring coffee frappe and froth in fellowship flame
Firstly finding forgiveness-fullness for life fruitful
Flexed against frustrations, fiercely forceful.

*Psalm 57:7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

Premium MemberLavishly Lavender

The twilight world is a different place,
Replete with richest and unlikeliest colors,
The calm beauty of evening has such grace,
Until all is veiled under night's dark covers.

This evening's sky is heart stopping lavender,
With touches of gold near the far horizon,
The world paused for mirror dreamland luster,
As sky, sea and land, share one hue in common.

All just for moments graced in alien landscape,
Festively celebrating one more gorgeous day,
Until the orange sun takes his sudden escape,
Leaving promises of new dawn as he goes his way!

Premium MemberNight's Amazing Beauty

Amazing celestial night's beauty exposes Almighty’s glorious might

Blessing mankind to enjoy blissful serenity during prayer plight

Cheering star gazers to behold firmament*'s majesty of awesome height

Directing dreamers for exciting ventures, sans delusion-blight

Enriching poets toward functional creativity-flight...

Festively gathering friends for loving fellowships that invite

Geared toward earnest gratitude of healthy laughter; yes, that's right

Hoisted upon glowing hope for another tomorrow's morning delight

Inspired to live daily midst truth along Scriptural wisdom's insight...

Joyously I'm enthralled with lunar wonders of God's gleam so bright.

*Psalms 91:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Premium MemberThe Archer's Hearth

Beneath the cusp of Sagittarius
The archer stands to aim his arrow bold
Poised to reign on heaven's great nebulous
To pierce winter's heart to usher the cold

Early frost kindles blazing hearths inside
Where huddled happy souls snuggle by fire
And speak kindred words of future Yuletides
Festively singing with voices inspired

Thanksgiving supper brings smells to delight
Friends and folks rejoice with good hearts living
The blessings of days with holidays bright
The wondrous festive 'Season of Giving'

Beneath the cusp of Sagittarius
The gift of thanks brings out the best in us

Premium MemberFlittering Furts

Flittering furts of fallacious folly,
fables of new forcefully fabricated,
five foundlings now faeries found
fabric faddishly forced surround
faceted gems for eyes they be
falling over the great fir tree
fain to feats of fantasy, factually
farrowed for all to see
fairish fair heads nodding fervently
fecked craning forward in familiarity
following constantly you and you
festively focused on fetes of few
fickler than fowl, fickler than dew
wonder of wonders, how’d they find you
felicity follows each fine feat
now’s the time to take your seat
such a surprise, oh so sweet, savor
alike this fine ole treat!

BEAUTIFUL FALL

Bountiful colors of leaves to adore

Even though trees will be soon be bare

Attract the attention of passersby

Untimely winter-like days created

The scene of a change of season

Indescribably gorgeous to behold

Festively adorned like an artists picture

Underneath a blue Autumn sky

Lavish beauty for all to admire

Freely created for the pleasure of man

Artfully displayed, breathtakingly designed

Loving scattered across meadow and mountain

Lending serenity to the admiring throngs

Im Alive

Im Alive

Every now and then you get that buzz of awareness
That makes you feel alive
That makes you know that there still could be
That special person out there.

That butterfly’s in the stomach feeling
That hot and cold iv'e connected feeling
That touch that gives you Goosebumps feeling

How else can you describe a physical attraction so strong?
It makes you tingle from head to toe.
It’s like the beginning of a new season
It’s an awakening
It says
I’m on top of the world!
I’m alive!

Ecclesiastes 9:7-10
7-10 Seize life! Eat bread with gusto,
Drink wine with a robust heart.
Oh yes—God takes pleasure in your pleasure!
Dress festively every morning.
Don’t skimp on colors and scarves.
Relish life with the spouse you love
Each and every day of your precarious life.
Each day is God’s gift. It’s all you get in exchange
For the hard work of staying alive.
Make the most of each one!
Whatever turns up, grab it and do it. And heartily!
This is your last and only chance at it,
For there’s neither work to do nor thoughts to think
In the company of the dead, where you’re most certainly headed.

Silencing the Mind

I just wanna meditate ...
Hovering along the coast
We're goin on a date
We're the birds in the vicinity
Babe never mentioning
me
probably
Bc of all the guys targeting
& we haven't talked in days
& it bothers me
Skimming threw the clouds
manifesting new realities
But it's challenging
Cuz all my dreams are facing new fatalities
& all my emotions in this poetry
Are proving that I'm cursed. You see?
So I just sit at home
Hella festively, craving patience
Waiting on the day you call me up like
I don't hate you.

Celebrating 50:Ix

My neighbors pot smells good
A herbal sweetness that lingers in the air
And then cloy the tongue
With hunger deeper than love's desire
I smell the thyme, parsley, pepper
The onions and basil in coming supper
Wher
e children will sit
On the outdoor log
And see the remnants of kitchen fire
Smoking through thatch roof
Like an evening mist
Curling up its cuddly tail
To meow from feet to feet
And Hartley dipping his spoon deep
Where gravy thick as longing runs
I hear begin the story
Of our hheritage once again.
It smells rich
Like a soup blend of vegetables
O the pepperpot brims my mind again
It is a two course meal tonight
For snappers uncurled in the frying pan
Are festively clad
With vegetable and spices
And garnish my mouth
O my neigbors tease is coming out
I smell the sweetness of Jamaica
The kitchen bringing us again
Together, the balm of future pain
And the coco heart
