Kite Flying - Test

Kiss me, I want to lift you skirt flying
Inside my heart like the wind
To dance on clouds of joy my kite
Embracing time, to hold you in my arms and spin

Festively playing in the clouds
Long lines of passion I can feel
Yearning against my string
Intermittingly fawning as you bow
Naked to the throb of wind
Garrulous like a lover moaninng

The scintillated light.
Etched upon the sweat shining
Silver shafts of ribs
Tensed in every fibre and nerve of being
               ...
I want to press my lips
Upon your cheeks, prettier than confetti paper
And let the golden sunlight drips
Chocolate of satisfaction on my tongue
Because I made a kite like this

Then to breathe your fragrance
Falling free
From every jasmine of your limb
Where the lissome bamboos hold firm
The quivering of my string

And when the wind exhausted
Make you loop and dip
Before suppliant eyes
To cash that boyhood zeal again
And run until you rise

Or shortening your leash
Bring you in
To closer dazzle my eyes
And let your string between my fingers fall
A ravished and splendid bride

I want to make you feel secure again
Your flying strained against my faith
Buoyed by the comfort of my love
For you the only joy that fills my eye
In the huff and blow of time

I want to lift you like the wind
And with you all my affections fly
To shout in glee from my little hill
Below unlettered clouds in pride
My kite alone to fly.

The Wedding Day

The date was set and the church booked up
Invitations sent out, colors picked, and a hall for the sup.

The bridesmaids and groomsmen had all been chosen
For the date for us on the calendar was now frozen.

The Maid of Honor could only one person be
The Best Man knew this day would be crazy.

For all of the planning, the work, and the tension
Would culminate in this day of anticipation.

The minister counseled us and helped us to plan
But the burden was on us, for this day to span.

We wanted everyone to be as happy with us today
That's why we took so long to plan it this way.

The floweres trimmed the aisle along the carpet white
While all our family and friends dressed festively tonight.

The music started to play as the couples walked the aisle
I was reminded not to cry, instead to give a big smile.

It was my turn to walk the walk now
"Don't slip, don't trip, don't cause a row.

It's the day of the wedding and there is my peer
One question remains, "What am I doing here?"

Premium Member The Harvest Dance

The hills have come alive today,
with the dancing of the leaves.
The wind was playing songs of love,
 it really was unique!

To see them waltz across the sky,
then stop, and off they'd fly.
They'd do a dip and take a bow,
as the next pair flutters by.

The birds were perched up in the trees,
 to see this autumn show.
They'd cheer and sing their melodies
with the wind as it would blow.

The oaks and elms and maple trees,
have all joined in the show.
They'd dressed their leaves so festively,
they drop them and they'd blow.

This is a magical season in time,
the Harvest dance comes but once a year.
Once the trees lose their leaves,
 then winter will soon appear.

Diabolus In Suburbia

We are drawn here for the festivity, to glorify His name.
In our crimson best, presents wrapped gaily, to glorify His name.

Joyous revelers and their dutiful handlers arriving.
Doors open, we are welcomed heartily, to glorify His name.

Presents not expected, but the mistress will not feel neglected.
Material offerings stacked neatly, to glorify His name.

The High Priestess, same outfit as daughter she wears, begins the Mass.
Tailless donkey, fat clown smirks knowingly, to glorify His name.

The sacrificial ham, its remains doused in mustard and served up
In a Wonder Bread coffin festively, to glorify His name.

Materialistic revelry, the presents torn asunder
Young onlookers seethe deliriously, to glorify His Name.

Priestess brings out decorated cake, pink frosting, five blazing flames
Candles trace pentagram, implicitly, to glorify His name.

Ice cream Bacchanaila, another unhinged Saturnalia
Revelers sway intoxicatedly, to glorify His name.

Sugar crash dysphoria, the merrymaking ends tearfully.
Priestess signals the Mass’ ending quickly, to glorify His name.

Thomas asks, with tremulous hesitation and no small dreading,
Is Jimmy’s birthday party next Sunday, to glorify His name?

AT THE REQUEST OF BEV SMITH...

Carousel

It was the music that caught my ear,
So I followed and saw the lights.
Totally mesmerized, I drew near
And beheld a captivating sight.

Beautiful creatures swiftly moved.
Quite festively they were prancing.
White steeds with painted hooves,
Whirled around, happily dancing.

They slowed in a change of pace,
Arched necks all turned my way.
With such power and total grace,
One winked at me, a dappled gray.

He beckoned me and so I went.
Music flowed long into the night.
Caught up in rhythm til I was spent,
Not caring if it was wrong or right.

Upon his back, we circled 'round.
His thick mane flying in the wind.
My hair escaped, came unbound,
Then the lights softly dimmed.

Subtle seduction, no need for words.
He set my whole world into a spin.
My beating heart was all I heard.
It was in that moment I gave in.

What a mystical night of fantasy.
We soared like birds on the wing.
Never in my life had I felt so free.
Together we grabbed the brass ring.

A thief in the night, he stole my heart.
But harsh winds had started to gust.
We were swept away, torn apart.
Our brass ring had turned to rust.

I was blinded by such a cruel storm.
The carousel was knocked off course.
I prayed that he'd not met with harm,
My steed ~ my dappled gray horse.

There was no music to be heard.
I found him broken, on his side.
I offered comfort with my words,
"Get up. We can finish our ride."

My breath wasted in tearful plea.
Our journey had reached an end.
Black glassy eyes stared up at me.
I'll never ride on a carousel again

Im Alive

Im Alive

Every now and then you get that buzz of awareness
That makes you feel alive
That makes you know that there still could be
That special person out there.

That butterfly’s in the stomach feeling
That hot and cold iv'e connected feeling
That touch that gives you Goosebumps feeling

How else can you describe a physical attraction so strong?
It makes you tingle from head to toe.
It’s like the beginning of a new season
It’s an awakening
It says
I’m on top of the world!
I’m alive!

Ecclesiastes 9:7-10
7-10 Seize life! Eat bread with gusto,
Drink wine with a robust heart.
Oh yes—God takes pleasure in your pleasure!
Dress festively every morning.
Don’t skimp on colors and scarves.
Relish life with the spouse you love
Each and every day of your precarious life.
Each day is God’s gift. It’s all you get in exchange
For the hard work of staying alive.
Make the most of each one!
Whatever turns up, grab it and do it. And heartily!
This is your last and only chance at it,
For there’s neither work to do nor thoughts to think
In the company of the dead, where you’re most certainly headed.

Premium Member Robin of Locksley's Quest

As the Sheriff of Nottingham’s prisoner
Maid Marian had been locked in a tower
Robin and his loyal band of merry men
Were determined to quash the sheriff’s power

In Sherwood Forest Friar Tuck made a plan
Robin’s crew were eager to take some action
Dressed as jesters, they infiltrated the courtyard
Their garb created the desired distraction

As the sheriff laughed at the entertainment
Robin and Will Scarlett found a passageway
Hundreds of feet they climbed to Maid Marian
While the merry men kept the sheriff at bay

A huge oak stood far beyond the castle walls
Using rope he brought, Robin lassoed the tree
Securing strong belts, all three went zip-lining
With the friar’s plan Marian was set free

Beneath their costumes Robin’s band had arrows
Bows were secretly fastened to each man’s back
As soon as the trio had zipped their way out
The men in the courtyard began their attack

Oh my, how the sharp arrows flew on that day
Striking the sheriff in his butt and his neck
He got his due, though he’d never had a clue
And the sheriff’s courtyard was left in a wreck

Though the sheriff survived, he wished he hadn’t
What can be worse than a great pain in the butt
Maid Marian and Robin had the last laugh
While dining quite festively in their straw hut

Flittering furts of fallacious folly,

five foundlings now faeries found
fabric faddishly forced surround
faceted gems for eyes they be
falling over the great fir tree
fain to feats of fantasy, factually
farrowed for all to see
fairish fair heads nodding fervently
fecked craning forward in familiarity
following constantly you and you
festively focused on fetes of few
fickler than fowl, fickler than dew
wonder of wonders, how’d they find you
felicity follows each fine feat
now’s the time to take your seat
such a surprise, oh so sweet, savor
alike this fine ole treat!

Beneath the cusp of Sagittarius
The archer stands to aim his arrow bold
Poised to reign on heaven's great nebulous
To pierce winter's heart to usher the cold

Early frost kindles blazing hearths inside
Where huddled happy souls snuggle by fire
And speak kindred words of future Yuletides
Festively singing with voices inspired

Thanksgiving supper brings smells to delight
Friends and folks rejoice with good hearts living
The blessings of days with holidays bright
The wondrous festive 'Season of Giving'

Beneath the cusp of Sagittarius
The gift of thanks brings out the best in us

Geared toward earnest gratitude of healthy laughter; yes, that's right

Hoisted upon glowing hope for another tomorrow's morning delight

Celebrating 50:Ix

My neighbors pot smells good
A herbal sweetness that lingers in the air
And then cloy the tongue
With hunger deeper than love's desire
I smell the thyme, parsley, pepper
The onions and basil in coming supper
Wher
e children will sit
On the outdoor log
And see the remnants of kitchen fire
Smoking through thatch roof
Like an evening mist
Curling up its cuddly tail
To meow from feet to feet
And Hartley dipping his spoon deep
Where gravy thick as longing runs
I hear begin the story
Of our hheritage once again.
It smells rich
Like a soup blend of vegetables
O the pepperpot brims my mind again
It is a two course meal tonight
For snappers uncurled in the frying pan
Are festively clad
With vegetable and spices
And garnish my mouth
O my neigbors tease is coming out
I smell the sweetness of Jamaica
The kitchen bringing us again
Together, the balm of future pain
And the coco heart

Who am I today:
an open book to everybody
reflects the values instilled
in my heart by my first mentor...

the man my older brother is now:
conscientious, concerned, caring father
as testified by his family and those around him
exemplifies the commitment that reared his being...

the charisma my younger sibling exudes constantly:
cheering in his nursing and health-practitioner roles
radiantly exposing nurturing bliss with serenity-glow
bearing zealous compassion that attended to him, verily undeniable...

the virtuous wife and mother my sister is through the years:
gracious homemaker who feeds festively by her sumptuous meals
jubilantly affirmed by her dear husband and children
exposes approval-seal of the hands that molded her personality...

the best Dad whom we regard as the almost perfect leader in our sight:
human fortress, tenacious anchor midst travails and tribulations
leaving us precious legacy surpassing earthy wealth's heritage
he himself attested that his influence was a partnership-product with her...

The WOMAN* behind us all
helping us become what God wants us to be:
our MOTHER, so inspiring.
We thank and praise the Lord for her.

*Proverbs 31:30 ...A woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

Yuletide Gathering

On the oak and iron studded door
There hung a wreath of yuletide
That was so pleasing to the eye
It seemed to welcome you inside

The hallway was lit with candles
Of every shape, size and hue
And tasteful Christmas decorations
Seemed to be constantly in view

Down the entire length of the stairs
Entwining the polished mahogany
Garlands of holly and evergreen
Filled the scene most sumptuously

The drawing room was minimalist
Each decoration chosen with care
The focal point was the mantelpiece
And the little stocking hanging there

In the corner stood a mighty tree
Festively decked in all its glory
But their was more to the gathering
Than just the Christmas story

Every face bore a relaxed smile
Such was the festive atmosphere
And so proud was the hostess
But not just for the festive cheer

For this was the first Christmas
For their newborn son and heir
And so proud was the mother
Of her newborn son so fair
