The hills have come alive today,
with the dancing of the leaves.
The wind was playing songs of love,
it really was unique!
To see them waltz across the sky,
then stop, and off they'd fly.
They'd do a dip and take a bow,
as the next pair flutters by.
The birds were perched up in the trees,
to see this autumn show.
They'd cheer and sing their melodies
with the wind as it would blow.
The oaks and elms and maple trees,
have all joined in the show.
They'd dressed their leaves so festively,
they drop them and they'd blow.
This is a magical season in time,
the Harvest dance comes but once a year.
Once the trees lose their leaves,
then winter will soon appear.
