Emeralds Poems

Toxic Beauty

 ART!

He painted my death,
With such dedication I've never seen before.
Every stroke of his brush, on that paper, marking out each curve, twist, and turn my body made
As I writhed in pain.

Premeditated murder, or a death masquerading as suicide, or perhaps just an unlucky soul.
My hands on my throat as I choked to death,
He didn't need to add a drop to my tea to pronounce me dead.
Because every time I brushed his gift to me,
I was gasping and blushing at how beautifully he depicted my death,
And swore that it was breathtaking.

It was really breathtaking!

My body was found lying on the green grass,
Sprawled in a weirdly shaped position, just as he had predicted.
I gave him his last gift:
A live picture of me modeling his artwork, in afterlife.
Who would know that arsenic was the green-dye monster,
But was also made into a painting to die for.

The Lunar Vein and Sunken Emeralds

The cragged moon, a curdled, midnight bloom,
Where veins of frost, dissect a shadowed room.
A galaxy of mold, on lunar stone,
A whispered legend, soft and darkly known.
It weeps a brine, a sharp, celestial tear,
A pungent phantom, banishing all fear.
Then, amber relics, in a glassy tomb,
Where time's slow fingers, weave a spiced perfume.
Each wrinkled emerald, a sunken, ancient eye,
That holds the secrets, of a bygone sky.
They swim in brine, a sun-kissed, golden sea,
Where sharpness sleeps, and tangy memories flee.
These kindred spirits, in a twilight tryst,
A marriage strange, by starlight's silver kissed.
One, a moon's decay, a noble, bitter grace,
The other, time's own kiss, upon a verdant space.
A symphony of tang, a whispered, aged lore,
Where phantom flavors, haunt forevermore.
A taste of ages, in a shadowed, secret place,
A paradox of pleasure, etched on time's worn face.
A velvet darkness, and a sunlit, sour dream,
Where sharpened shadows, and aged sunbeams gleam.

Emeralds Diamonds Pearls

"emeralds diamonds pearls"

in my world there are no lions tigers or bears
there only lie emeralds diamonds and pearls

make no mistake of what they forever are
such treasures are not sapphires of green
or precious stones of glittering whites
nor are they seashells of pinks or ivory

these jewels are loves from you
holding all grace that is true

Emeralds

Freezing.
Cold.
Numb.
Murder.
Hammer feels remarkably crimson
Brown trees, clean, sway in the chilly breeze.
Dark emeralds dance in the distance,
Snow, white pure, gods above
Resolve, shatters, fears seep in
Twilight dominion.
The fool slams the hammer and dares to ask why?
Just an opinion...
A crack of bone
Something dies a little at a time.
Crimson splashes on high.
The tree was rotting at the core
The wind dies as the ice creeps
The hammer is down deep in the flesh
Bright crimson, the blue sky shown
Murdering

The Emerald City

The Emerald City

Tales of long ago, many a tall story told
When the people spoke so vibrantly bold
Whispers of treasures of emeralds and gold
Hidden away, lost, a kings ransom to behold

Far away, somewhere lost in a dense jungle land
Guarded by a lost, ghostly, savage warrior band
Prepared for a millennium to defend, fight and stand
Silent swift death comes from ancient weapons in hand

Pathway to riches, a treacherous one
For all the emeralds and gold to be won
Will be the spoils to some fortune son
Perhaps a kings ransom, share for none

Countless perils awaits for any bold, foolhardy man
Many fallen lost souls of some obscure absent clan
In all the fickle lost schemes of many a forfeited plan
For there will never be a road to riches for any man

Long ago, daring tales of a lost Emerald City, so I’m told
Speaking of the riches to this very day, treasures so bold
To the gullible, still being sold by the alluring lies of lost gold
Somewhere lost forevermore, in the desires for all to behold

Emeralds

Green is the color of emeralds bold.
Wear one and know that soon luck's on its way.
Favorite stone of elves we are oft told.

Emerald green is the color for spring time.
Stone's long been symbol of beauty and growth.
Flowers and trees are renewed in soft clime.

Crystal's found most in Colombian mines.
Muzo and Chivor are famous dig names.
They give gems free of some bluish tinge signs.

Banners of Islam are Emerald green.
Showing the states of Arabian league.
Color does tie them together as seen.

Emeralds and Saphires

We were not cut as diamonds,
An expensive bauble with traditions and so many rules to follow,
We were emeralds and saphires,
Hues of sadness and envy,
Longings and jealousy.

And when we collided together as the brilliant jewels we both are,
We forged into one ruby,
The color of flames and desire,
We became the shade of passion,
And an eternal love that will last for eternity.

Emeralds and Sapphires

Human.
Strangers in beautiful buildings
Bouncing away from each other
Conforming to individualism

Nostalgia.
Pays handsomely for memories
Prays haphazardly for miracles
Drowning in the sands of time

Strife.
Hotdog vendors
Wasting oxygen and living space
Dreaming of superstardom

Debt.
Trapped in a fishbowl in California
Immersed in the abstract
Drunk on force-fed cruelty

Gravity.
Giant magnets everywhere
Littering galaxies
Fettering free minds

Death.
Army dreamers making love
Two-halves human
Tap dancing on Father Time

Colorblind.
Studded with emeralds and sapphires
Caressing each other like a rainforest
Brushing against the clear blue sky

Premium MemberBlood On Emeralds

The blood of Emeralds
In Northern Ireland's streets
Where sides detest
Victims they seek

Religious divide
Neighbours slain
For the life of me
What to gain

These troubled times
Historic sores
Deep rooted pasts
Now to the fore

IRA
UDA
Many guns came out to play
Both sides fell, as they murderously slay
During the week, even Sundays

The Belfast agreement of 1998
This Land of Emeralds, in peaceful state
Neighbours safe to talk again
Never allow the blood, on the Emeralds stain

Emeralds and Ice

Eyes meet,
everything else loses focus,
  the air sizzles
                between us
becoming an almost haze
that secludes us
from our surroundings.
Emerald green orbs
ensnared by ice blue.

Caught within a stare again,
    your will
pulling at my neck,
          towards you,
all else seems to hush,
   even from across the bar
I can pick out your scent.
Ice blue orbs
ensnared by emerald green.

Eyes converge
on a moonless night,
the melody of the dark
sings in our ears,
serenading the impulses
         we hunger to act on,
as the distance between us shrinks
you are almost within reach.
Emerald green orbs
caressed by ice blue.

Locked in a gaze
as our bodies are entwined
claws slicing
        into our hides,
blood sliding down our skin
from us
        ravaging each other
   leaving us panting.
Ice blue orbs
caressing emerald green.

Emeralds and Rubies

I do not know where you came
A bright day...
Jewels where they lay

Such things are free
Emeralds and rubies
Dreams
Blue seas

I still miss you
I am not alone
Shadows too
Whispered moan

Emeralds and stars
Rubies and log fires
If you were here too...
Such desires

Soft light,
to fall...
Jewels of fire
You...
Wt all

Precious things,
for me
Memories
Emeralds and rubies
Fiery light to see
Fiery light to be
