Premium Member He Has Colorful Tales

what he says you have to try and swallow with a dump truck load of salt
sure, his colorful stories seem credible, plausible, some even probable
But I know him better than most of you, I am his relative.
His embellishments and entertaining exaggerations could appear
on Faux News.
For what he has to say teeters between alternative facts, tall tales and lies.

Premium Member lavender heart

Lavender Heart lived up to her name
Her veins were full of jewels and gems
Topaz, turquoise, pearls, and other such embellishments
Her skin was embroidered, prettier than her crown

Money and mundane mammon have been our constant comfort.
Elegance and embellishments have been our companions.
Towards luxuries was the focus of all our efforts.
As though atheists, do we care for saintly opinions?

Attachment is clutching us in its crude crocodile hold.
Though, in truth, like parrot emeralds, aren’t we in gold cages?
We want to sing aloud and fly around, but we’re controlled.
It seems as though our enslavement will last for endless ages.

Shouldn’t our souls gain freedom and attain eternal bliss?
Shouldn’t our beings integrate with the Supreme Being?
Contemplation and good deeds could we, hence, afford to miss?
Could our eyes ever sleep without his hope guaranteeing?

From unconsciousness to consciousness, our souls should advance.
Isn’t our existence here on earth a mere transhumance?

Premium Member Naked Apprehension

I stand and stare at the empty branches,
stripped now of all the regalia of Christmas,
naked and sadly alone in my gaze
like the gray day beyond every window.
All the celebrations have been swept to yesterday
like prom decor, bridal rose petals and
       melted birthday candles.
The quiet haunts every New Year's day -
no more parties to smother apprehensions,
just sober reality, but, unlike crepe paper
embellishments, aisle runners and cake crumbs,
the tree trimmings will await an encore in
eleven months once more - one more time
        one more time ...

Premium Member Xmas Embellishments

Gifts love-packed
Glass-balls gleam around
Plastic-bells compact
Move to and fro without sound
Amidst wreaths, and nutcrackers
Wool-stuffed Santa Claus
Waves his hands like backpackers
Gives a smiling solemn silent pose
Stockings and reindeers
Occupy their spaces as though it's their right
Snowmen on snowglobes with no fears
Mock at the Gnome that resembles a skeleton knight
Nativity Figures and Sets change the zeitgeist
Cardinals, finches, and redpolls rhythm-set
All cumulate their concentration on Christ
Has Emmanuel, in the hearts of humanity, been born yet…?

Ears

Ears

Earrings are just embellishments
Ear on my left and rights
Earns the true credits
Easy to hear the chimps and deer'swith with them
Earth is open to me by them
Earls songs melodies because of ears
Elders best advice is priceless with them ...

Premium Member Naked Exposure

She
relish
The coming
Of November,
Her embellishments
Scattered around her feet
In rotting putrid decay.
Yet the old tree shivers naked
Meanwhile the common crow’s nest exposed.

Accomplished Desires

Scarred hands,
Titanium heart,
Dutiful hands,
Unrelenting pursuit.

They were her joy,
Embellishments in her night sky,
Budding flowers in her garden,
Music in her midnight moments.

As they slept,
She looked at them with tear-filled eyes,
She thanked God for giving
them as gifts to add colour and spice to her life.

Each day stood before her as a portrait,
She painted what she wanted to see,
Hope aided her brush strokes,
Perseverance added the salient details.

Autumn was her favourite season,
It opened the door for her muse,
She emptied her thoughts in lines and stanzas,
She sang as they raked leaves.

She smiled as she breathed her last,
They stood around her,
Tears streamed down their eyes,
She had steered her boat valiantly.

All That Jazz

since the thirties musicians
have improvised while
playing traditional tunes
they've changed the tempo
rearranged the notes
added some embellishments
made runs and flourishes
generally rewrote the tunes
and created a new form of music
it caused listeners to snap
their fingers and tap their toes
and they called it jazz
jazz changed the way people
thought about music
the music changed
the way people thought
they no longer just sat and listened
they became part of the music
the music became part of them
I heard it in my cradle
I grew up with it
grew to love it
and still listen to
all that jazz

Premium Member Spring Embellishments

Fresh blossoms of trees and shrubs
Tender blooms of vine creepers
Meek buds developing into flowers

Glistening leaves’ swaying whispers
Glorious displays of emerald runners
Liberal scatterings of dynamic colors

Soft touches of crisp gusts
Reflective bouquets of dreamy fragrance
Enthusiastic cheeps of song birds
Mother Nature’s embellishments of spring air

Nature's Glitters

Jewels of the night sky,
Embellishments from afar,
They adorn the sky.

In White

When his virtue in the blue waters was guessed in white
The night angel with all his might was accessed in white

He was described holy as the Bible of Jesus
In dreams his name to a fairy was blessed in white

Who was listening to His sermon? Mine and your soul
On the day of inception, when God addressed in white

When she was posing on the eve of celebration
Then I, by her embellishments, was impressed in white

Each tile is blood stained in emperor's court of justice
These are all the cuts of the swords which were stressed in white

Oh! The moment when my letter was in your fingers
The feelings I wrote in it and heart were pressed in white

Cacti along the way, no water, a lone ranger
Was looking for you, Laila! His horse harnessed in white

The nature of my sins can be measured on that scale?
The purity of her nature was assessed in white

She was going out of church, with her groom happily
On the good day, l saw her last, she was dressed in white

Small Things, Great Joy

I stare at your body
Without any embellishments
You are so pretty!

Anything placed on your skin
Might diminish your beauty
You are bewitching when nude!

I move my hands over your slender neck
Trace them over your voluptuous body
You are so irresistible!

I pick some fresh flowers
Place them on your head
Then I sit and stare at you!

Exhilaration fills me from within
I love you, my new flower vase
I have been wanting one since long!
