Naked Exposure

She relish The coming Of November, Her embellishments Scattered around her feet In rotting putrid decay. Yet the old tree shivers naked Meanwhile the common crow’s nest exposed. Entered A November Nonet Poetry contest Sponsor Andrea Dietrich 11/11/2022

Dear Harry, your striking imagery captures November's exposure so eloquently. Your last line is especially evocative and memorable. Congratulations for your excellent win in Andrea's contest. Warmest wishes, my friend.. ~Susan

Greetings Harry, The nakedness of November trees is a truism here in the north of North America. You've caught an image of exposure beautifully - with its natural world + human allusions. Subtext naughty? Sincerest regards, Brian

I really love this one, harry. I just wondered why you used She with a two syllable word that requires being the word relishes . Sorry I am such a grammar nut. This is a great visual!! Congrats in my contest.

Incredible, eye-catching visuals! As the leaf falls and the branches become naked, I love the idea of the crow's nest being revealed. Excellent nonet, dear, Harry!

Good one for the contest. I enjoyed reading it. Our oaks still have some leaves to shed even after all the wind and rain, but the yard has been thick with fallen leaves. Thanks for sharing this one and for dropping by my page. Sara

Good one, harry. I've observed this myself on several occasions, only it turned out they were squirrels' nests.
