Ego undress, negating fear,
mirroring dark desire,
that in stillness, as bliss beats spear,
we ignite our soul’s fire.
We are living light caged,
by thought constructs upstaged,
until by God’s love paged.
Our life’s a mess ~
Ego undress
HUMILITY FOUND
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When ego's fragile form begins to fade,
a limitless expanse of soul appears.
The boundaries that once bound and confined,
now stretch, expand, transform, and astound.
In losing the ego self, another universe is found,
a world of wonder, limitless, and esoteric.
The chains of comparison are severed;
they no longer bind, no longer suffocate either you or me.
The prison of competition is left behind,
unfettered, enlightenment grows.
In this vast and open place, humility also grows, and
a web of love and Divine interconnectedness prevail.
“You must stop this ruling of me,
Please let me go, I must be free.”
Smiling, Ego said mockingly,
“It’s you who chooses what you’ll be.
It’s quite simple for all to see,
All my power doth come from thee.
In myself, that’s where I invest.
I have no say in your request.
You’re free to go, to rule your own ship,
Give to me the old pink slip.
Find the passion that’s within you.
Do whatever you love to do.
Make life an adventure, a quest.
Earn an “A” on life’s biggest test,
Live everyday as if your last,
Show your real self, take off the mask.”
Ego-mind an instrument for our use,
that helps us to navigate this terrain
but it is from our heart where bliss does ooze,
so we view ego cravings with disdain,
slowing down thought, that mind we may retrain.
With thoughts rested, wayward ego thins out
and we rest in awareness free from doubt,
humming a verse, one with the universe,
viewing life as a dream going about,
divine aligned with no need to rehearse.
Ego
Can one compose I, Me, Mine and Myself?
Are you unpretentious hanging on to your
Ego?
Dualistic personalities is it the beast? A seeker
of pure pleasures? Guilty until proven innocent
Amongst your peers.
Digging in the dirt is it the devil inside ?
Animal instincts reviewing the situation at hand
Sends chills up and down one's spine.
Complexities of the human personalities conflicts
between the I'd, Ego and Super egos
Is it an eternal furnace of coal?
Is it the murky dark night of my soul?
Is it a fathomlessly hollow well?
Is my ego as perilous as hell?
Is it power and strength in their fullness?
Is it existence in its absurdness?
From this coffin, could I ever return?
Herein, would I perpetually burn?
Are days in ego unendingly nights?
Does affliction, herein, like serpents, bites?
Is it the inner self's whirlpooling sea?
Is it an insidious trap in me?
I muse on ego and find no retort.
I find no way out of this self-built fort.
Is it a furnace of coal?
Is it a bottomless well?
Is it the night of my soul?
Is it as unsafe as hell?
Is it might in its fullness?
From it, couldn't I return?
Is it death in absurdness?
Here, would I endlessly burn?
Do days, in it, look like nights?
Is it a whirlpooling sea?
Grief here, they say, like snakes, bites.
Is it a death trap in me?
It is my psyche's dark nook.
It's a poison-flowing brook.
A bouquet of fresh air never fades.
In an intimate setting.
The ocean is veiled in secrecy.
Murmuration's breathtaking patterns.
Starlings moving as one entity.
The ego is a third party.
Your secret admirer.
Harmony without effort in nature,
dreaming up a vast green pasture.
This is no ordinary slumber.
Sweet, rose-colored winds of change,
The ocean is an incompatible weather vane.
Dread and dream are but a consonant apart.
Into an intimate setting
A doe runs from perceived fears.
It makes a choice to stay.
Fantasy is freed into reality.
A lighthouse does not chase ships.
The ocean is deep, not shallow.
It is the birthplace of time in Heaven.
Hypothesis:
What is an ego anyways
Are we born with it
And from the moment we have the willpower
we’re tasked with muting it
Or does it grow from experiences of rejection
Fed by whom?
Is it intrinsically preserving,
Extrinsically repelling…
For the sake of avoiding philosophical debate
Let’s say we have an agreed upon theory
Experiment:
I’d like to think my ego dissolved
The moment my mother dropped me
From her arms before I ever had a chance to challenge Piaget’s concept of object permanence
And when I plummeted to reality
I landed upon the selfless idea
That if their need for affirmation
Could supersede my need for survival
Then I could keep from ever falling so tragically again
Analysis:
And though ego death happens in silence
It’s showboating that sustains ego life
Suppose one without the death
could never question their impulses.
Without an initial fall
The ego can’t even see it’s own reflection
Ego cups have now been filled
To the point of overflowing
Confidence and power now heightened
Fuel to keep ego’s growing!
I never thought they would figure me out
How could they find me in the layers of illusion?
I never thought one could completely turn about
So many pleasures, I kept them in confusion
Now after all these years, it has come to this
I push the same buttons, but their minds start to think
They’ll kill their ego in their search for pure bliss
I flash the bright lights, they don’t even blink
They’ve turn to a silence, and peace as they start
Repelling my luring by turning their backs
Inside they are peering, down deep in their hearts
They’re through with my lust, they see what it lacks
It was a great run, we sure had some fun,
I’m crucified like Christ; they now live through God’s Son.
Does life to anyone really make sense?
Or is all of mankind, really this dense?
God offers his wisdom and truth to man,
Yet it still seems we seldom understand.
Are we blinded by reason, and logic?
Surely, it’s not genes or biologic?
While meditating on things I don’t know,
It came to me; the culprit is ego.
Its goal is to always self-edify,
Secretly cloaking what’s seen with the eye.
The illusion creates a false belief,
The deception ends up, leading to grief.
To receive God’s truth, just look through his eyes,
To know the truth, just reject ego’s lies.
Click, Clap, Ego Inflation
They sit behind the veil of screen
thinking cheating is a site unseen
each clap a cheer that was never earned
everyone laughs, for the spotlight is on
shining light on the fraudsters pen
vain deceit
ghostly stats floating in silent scorn
their own applause, no one cares
what is a Baker
if your bread is stale and unsold
your store is empty
a hollow soul
cheaters cheat, they never glow
Feeling catish this morning, surrounded by Zio lies and cheating is easier for me to see when happens elsewhere too, peace be upon you.
Artist - derelict and drifter
move about like windblown bones
bathing in the dry veined riverbed stream
fashioning crafts from a lifetime of dewed memory
weaving ends that tend to never meet
the wealthiest being of this beat
would be the poorest elsewhere-
Father of northern aurora lairs
dancing with ice bears atop great flows
so cold, both sun and flyer freeze midair
tooth walkers jab the flanks of ice ghosts-
Mother Rainforest, forever emerald charm
everything has a deadly smirking slant
the panther and poison dart hopper
to the last known being of a dying clan-
They'll all meet within the womb of reckoning
far above this temporary mad blue churning
the mysteries opening only to the searcher
like a Fabergé egg on the apron of forever-
The extermination of my self-identity
comes easy when taken from the tongue.
Words hanging in the balance,
breathe in the air in which they are strung.
Wrap tightly around my neck,
wringing the air out of my lungs.
Infestation of the mind and of
a heart so fractured yet so young.
Carried deeper into a world of hate,
so I let go of the hand that I once clung.
WE ARE NEVER ENOUGH UNTIL THEY SAY WE ARE ENOUGH.
WE ARE NEVER ENOUGH UNTIL THEY SAY WE ARE
WE ARE NEVER ENOUGH UNTIL THEY SAY WE
WE ARE NEVER ENOUGH UNTIL THEY SAY
WE ARE NEVER ENOUGH UNTIL THEY
WE ARE NEVER ENOUGH UNTIL
WE ARE NEVER ENOUGH.
