Premium MemberDesire driven ascent

Our identity within existence,
which reworded, simply means the ego,
pursues narrow goals, which is resistance,
to attachments we are loathe to let go
and therefore truth of Self we do not know.
Such a seeker ascends in vibration,
domain hopping across God’s creation.

Siddhis or powers imbibed and displayed,
keep such a seeker distanced from the source,
shifting roles, in different domains played,
until self-realising use of force
is of no avail, so then shifts life’s course.
Who God is we can never realise,
unless wayward ego we vaporise.

i hear the ticking of the clock
it's in my head and in my heart
the pulse of life doubtlessly finite
so many things i want to do

the tic toc getting louder
it echoes in my brain
rummaging through images and dreams
while time rings evermore elusive

i get up in the morning determined
with a yearning to break free
driven to spark the momentum
for the many things i want to do

DRIVEN BY CURIOSITY

A spark ignites, a question form,
A curious mind that breaks the norms.
It seeks, it stirs, it will not sit still.
A restless fire, a growing will,

From page to thought, from thought to deed,
It learns not just to know, but lead.
Mistakes are steps, not cause of fear.
Each stumble makes the vision clear.

  Observe, reflect, connect, and create.
The mind evolves at every gate.
  Through wonder, work and reflection,
We built the bridge to education.

No walls confine, no chains restrain,
A learning mind breaks every chain.
For knowledge is not just a notation,
Its life itself, a mind in motion.

Battle Born

The Centerfold On Frost Field.

As I lay on my back dying I heard the cry for help.

With the last of my endurance I stand on my feet.

Valiantly I break ground!

As I grasp my axes within twain of my hands.

Though exasperated, I release my mournful cry!

With my last aggression, I let loose my inner berserker!

To bastion, for glory, for thy honor, for thy blood, for thy bonds!

Feet thunderous as I break earth upon each step!

As I run my breath hits the frozen air, like lava melting even frozen fear!

Valiantly my body adapts, with the fortitude of the gods.

Volatile is my mind as I rush into fighting the fowl fiends!

Alone I stand against the devastating foes!

With the tenacity of the witcher I fight against their enemies!

With blood, sweat, grit, and tears, I shred them to bits!

One by one they befall my feet, in thy raven's eyes they feed.

Only by Valkyrie's hand on frostfield, may I be saved!

With my battle born cry I continue to slay!

Your Mind Can Take You Places

Your mind can take you places
let your eyes be the judge of what you see.
Is a bin not a bin?
Is a rose not a rose?
I could call on deception, flattery, duplicity,
misdirection.

I have tamed my rage,
but you’re quick to see my movements,
quick to trace my engagements.
Fighting on the back front doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten.
Your lows, your deeds
they’ll draw me down from angles on high,
like coins dropped from a skyscraper,
scattering, unpredictable, inevitable.

Think what you will, think what you may.
Believe you’ve won, believe you’ve slipped away.
But I will come.
I will collect.
I will cash that cheque.

Driven Into Madness-Trucker's life

DRIVEN INTO MADNESS—The ELD
(Psychological impact of the Electronic logging Device)

Here I sit,
feeling like I will go insane –
Time has become a prison,
the clock is a ball and chain,

I’m wide awake –
    and I need to go!
But as I watch the clock,
      it still says, “NO!”

I’m being driven into madness,
     without moving from this place;
Chomping at the bit,
I need to start this race!

Since people are not robots,
     can clocks make driving safer?
Are ELD’s also defective,
because they are working against human nature?

Premium MemberRain-Driven Blues

Walking beneath roiling cloud
Exposed to coming Baltic storm
Feet move swiftly head is bowed
Weather onslaught about to perform.

Bone-chilling cold, cannot escape
No place to shelter all alone
Wet and weary old bones ache
Focused thoughts I am heading home.

Splashing puddles, leaking shoes
rancorous weather continues downpour
Am mired in music of rain-driven blues
Sigh of relief as i slam front door.

Wind, the Barber,
   shears the trees
   decisively
with naught but
   his own Fall design
   in mind,
Refusing imaged glass
   for his reluctant clientele,
insisting they trust
   his ancient artistry,
Born of a driven
   fate again
   and again.

Almost at the end of my pad.
Does this mean I should be glad?
A page or two remains blank and pristine,
Waiting for the next crazy dream.
  Sometimes a picture will appear,
Then a poem I will hear.
At times a poem will start,
  Must have a pencil,
  Or the thought will out.
Pieces of art drive me mad,
Sitting in my mind like an unfinished rhyme.
  Art is a repetitive piece,
Finding a way into my sleep.
  Best to do both,
  Until they are through,
For more have lines in my brain to do!

Driven

She said I’m too confused to drive.

When I’m trying to get somewhere, it’s just random turns, it’s just me turning and trying to undo my turns.

Where am I? I’m on a road somewhere.

I can’t call anyone because it’s dangerous.

The GPS? I’m scared by the voice that is haunting me.

Like cars, cars are haunting me.

But the cars are just people who are like me.

They are driving and driving forever.

So I’m home now. And my mom thinks I’m too confused to drive.

But I’m home now! Mom, this is my home that I found all by myself!

Somehow.

So, that’s why my mom drives me everywhere these days.

Driven To Madness

Officials seek opportunities to steal,
While soldiers earn double for lives, they reveal.
Ribbons, crosses, gallons, and stars they don,
Drowning their souls with debauchery's song.

As thousands lay sick, wounded, and deceased,
Fields filled with bodies, a sight that won't cease.
Buried haphazardly, lime masking the smell,
The aftermath's horror, too dire to tell.

Yet, the savages lead, their thirst uncontrolled,
driven to madness, their hearts growing cold.
Love's light retreats for years untold,
Generations corrupted; their spirits sold.

Cascading Embers Of Heart Driven Fire

Unrepentant heart, its hot blood there spills
Sad dregs of immortal nurselings of desire
And winter's warm breath blows the woodland fires
Amongst the frozen trees and through the hills
Wanton weariness, invisible veil hides
Cascading embers of heart driven fire
Exploding storm flees to nothing it retires
Where dead emperor in agony resides
Black robe judges, their guilt forever play
Broken guitars without needed six strings
As death's hand taps as the naked ghost sings
In nirvana the prophet chose to stay.

Unrepentant heart, melody just right.
Saw truth, amidst the horrors of that night.

There once lived an elderly poetess, who penned each bright day.

Scarcity of comments, would never immobilize her honest ways!

Folks scream, honk and shout like they have no brain
Even in fog and the glare and the rain
Slow down rounding a hill
And you'll wind up road kill
I know I'm bound to be driven insane!
