Dreamtime in Dreamland

Over the years I’ve logged a lot of time sleeping
With much of that time in dreamland.

I’ve had plenty of mundane dreams,
Years and years of them
Sometimes the dreams themselves
Even lasting for decades
And the experience is not much different
Than watching wet paint dry
Or just living a regular life one day at

     rose-covered blankets
        tuck infants in
     honey-tongued lyrics
        fall on soft skin

     eyelids so smooth
        shut ever-so-lightly
     angel

Dreamland

In Dreamland's dazzling domain, where fairytales unfurl, A youth yonder yearned, with heart that hoped to hurl, Himself into the hinterland, a hero's journey to embark, To chase the chimeras of change, to leave a lasting mark.

Beneath the benevolent beams of the bright, bisque moon, He bundled his belongings, set to leave quite soon, With

My Dreamland

A place in the middle of nowhere, I wish to be in, where I could still
Breathe the blissful pure fresh air of the bucolic, where I
Could hear the hum of silence harmonious to my mind’s rhythm, where
Dew drops of serenity sparkle in a peasant’s land in morn’s rays, where
Eyes yearn to catch a glimpse of

I picture when you're sleeping
A softness to your face
That testifies you're somewhere
Outside of time and space

I'd just lay beside you
Not making any sound
I'd watch your peaceful slumber
With no one else around

I'd whisper notes of sweetness
Place kisses on your cheek
You wouldn't even feel them
But each of them would speak

I'd stroke your hair so

In early morning dawn
when dreams invade
the peaceful mind
becoming like a active volcano
of visions and colours
of faces and places
some familiar others not
explosive situations
or serene peaceful locations
some bubbling with intense heat
or venting like the rising steam
creating cracks and fissures
to a once sleepy peaceful mind
trapped in a vortex
of emotions and feelings
between wake and dreaming
these early dreams invade.

Dreamland
Miracle Man
7/28/2022

From lighter times in another zone,
yesteryear’s voices ride upon the breeze.
Faded faces now appear as if unknown,
and thoughts drift by as if to tease.

But like most earlier times of youth,
life was taken thirstily by the hand.
In retrospect, I didn’t embrace the truth,
my life was planted in a dreamland.

DREAMLAND
Painting
blending
     dark
 with light

the search
 for a representation
 of colour
mirrored
in reflections

a conception
of image
inn
a unique frozen
moment
a
  realisation of
 a  dream

THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE without grammatical symbols the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and respond thus making the form a two way interplay and often a unique interpretation by the enigma so derived

Sober Reflexion

When this temple shall lay to rest
That the temple bird returns
To dreamland beyond the seas
The earthen vessel shall be desolate
Then shall dust, dust returns
And reality long created comes true
The dead weep over the dead, consciously
Numbering their days
The dead weep over the dead
On grounds well-known to them

Awake oh the Dead!
Weep no weep for anyone
Except

Right beside me lies my dog
Flight to dreamland, slumbers deep
Quite the racket, sawing logs
Slight, the chance she wakes from sleep

Eyes are closed, at peaceful rest
Sighs at visions yet unguessed
Rising, falling of her chest
Guys, let’s face it: I am blessed

When you just want to stare at the sky on a chaise

Till you're off to dreamland in the afternoon haze

Anne will you ever Answer
David J Walker

I
What toys were projected
Into your dreams
Were children permitted in
Dreamland back then
Or did you stand on the outside
Fenced in by the calendars of
Another time

II
What sounds scared you
Did they come from thunderstorms
Was it a lonely wind sent to
Send you into tumbleweed insanities
Ultimately
Caught in the barbs of fences

III
What

Dreamland Nursery Rhyme

Dreamland calls your restless feet
Chase the wind – gather stars -
Find four leaf clovers everywhere
Ride on rockets to galaxies far

Fly a kite – see the sun smile –
Gather clouds like cotton candy
Find the lucky pebbles treasure
Dance with rainbow’s hand in hand

Drift upon a red balloon
Taste sweet moondrops as you sleep
Float on magic firefly
