Dreamland
Dancing in a fantasy,
where I'm in your arms.
Life can be so demanding,
here is where I'm safe from harm.
I love you deeply,
but you don't know.
You're somewhere out there breathing,
but to me you're a ghost.
Haunted by your voice,
deep in my mind.
I usually avoid noise,
but I just need to find you.
So deeply I dive,
Like a professional swimmer.
I've been starting to surmise,
lately that the veil is getting thinner.
I'm so close, it's like you're right under my nose.
I can't wait to be a winner.
When I find you I've won,
and trust me I'm not a beginner.
I've been looking for so long.
Life has put me through the wringer.
But I won't give up on you, I can't.
That decision would spoil all of my plans.
The house I've built in my mind,
In dreamland.
