Dreamland

     rose-covered blankets
        tuck infants in
     honey-tongued lyrics
        fall on soft skin

     eyelids so smooth
        shut ever-so-lightly
     angel wings soothe
        whisk away nightly

The dream of kids that fall asleep softly... eventually, and then just so sweet - the breath rhythm of a sleeping-child. J :)

Hi Gershon, a beauty of a lullabye poem. A FAV! Tender and dreamy. Have a cool Chicago area August eve. Shalom good friend. :)

This is so tender and soothing. Like a lullaby in verse. I could almost feel the softness and calm while reading it. Beautifully done!

Very nice, GW! Raising six children I've seen those eyelids close many a time :) ~CM
