Near our late year approach, A Celtic feast and festivities, around a wood blaze Hoge. On the first of the eleventh month, wine and beer by the barrel is sunk, and merrily a few of many will start their new year drunk.
Cloaked attire to scare off and warn, unwanted spirits of all shapes or form.
Children's songs they sing in rhyme, All Hallows Eve! do they shriek out and cry.
Markings drawn door to door, Candlesticks and spooky shrines.
what began as once a feared holiday
now for so many a celebratory time.

It’s October the 31st.
It’s Halloween night
Time for kids to dress up as witches, ghosts and goblins,
and go door to door trick or treating
at houses that are all decked out for Halloween with carved lit up pumpkins outside their doors as well as other spooky decorations
The kids they hope for treats as in candy
And no tricks
When they go door to door
On Halloween night black cats prowl outdoors as well
And fly on the back of witches broomsticks
And dances,
And parties for those who are to old to go trick or treating happen as well
Oh how much fun a Spooky Halloween Night can be for those all ages
Happy Halloween

Time to tour the best Christmas-decorated places in town
With a map in hand of all the beautifully lit-up houses to be found
Despite the amount of time to set up and to take down the people have given us a wonderful gift for all of us to enjoy
Whole streets have banded together to create a visual spectrum of flashing lights and creative characters that bring smiles to all the girls and boys
Carollers can be seen going door to door singing songs full of joy
On the rooftops, Santa and his reindeer seem to be in control of the night, ready to deploy
As if like magic the clouds open up sending a burst of snow floating down
Soon the lawns will have a blanket of snow without so much as making a sound
In the living rooms, trees with their colorful attire show off to the people walking by
A large crowd has gathered at the end of the block, jolly old Saint Nick handing out candy canes and looking spry
Christmas may come once a year but joy and happiness need to be spread every day
As you walk by a neighbor who has decorated his place a special thanks should surely come his way

squirrel dressed up like the count is mighty fine.
She runs door to door, loving it when she is next in line.
Candy comes in so many flavors, snickers is her fave.
She picks out all of the nuts, which make her happily rave

A major storm is churning in the Atlantic ready to raise havoc on shore Evacuation orders are in place as the authorities have gone door to door
The hurricane center is forecasting the highest wind speeds to ever be recorded
Our beach house over the years has survived every storm, but this one is surely not to be ignored
We are leaving with a few items and the clothes on our backs
Is this the last time we will see our house in one piece, or by some miracle will the storm veer off-track
We now leave it up to the powers from up above to determine our fate
We hurry to the car we need to get to higher ground before it,s too late
If the storm should demolish our place and flatten it to the ground
It will do nothing to destroy our fond memories and the people we surround
In the end, we narrowly avoided a direct hit, so the house survived to fight another day
The hurricane and my partner are both named Carol what's that you say

Cold and lonely
I walked the street
How I miss
My homely heat.
Walking endlessly
From door to door
For I cannot speak
Only offer a paw.
Please give me love
For I grow so thin
Open up your heart
And let me in.

Christmas
is nearing,
bells are ringing,
young carolers singing from door to door
yule joyful hymns in moonlit crisp air night
a nascent dawn
with anxious
laughter
sounds
there
a tree
full of hope
grandchildren thrilled.
without you, a soul that feels so hollow.

Sharing his stories with the sea
The winter sky, grey like smoke
Frosted flowers, on mud floor
Wind going around door to door

Costuming Halloween
Masque my visage fast!
…So my eyes bulge out, drunken red, and give me
purpled, hairy lips and cheeks to complete
My bloodcurdling look — Yikes!
So scary…Not sweet!
So chilling that Halloween’s
Gross memories of seeing me will not be beat!
Then, when I float from door to door,
Levitating on a smoky breeze,
To greet the folks’ aghast gazes, I’ll growl
with a phantasmal voice to haunting, I’ll declare,
“Boo! Trick or treat!” and
They’ll step back away as if shock could kill, but
Thrilled, gasp, “Hey! Your costume’s a blast!”
Whereupon, I’ll begin my Halloween act
By morosely sharing, “T’is not a costume at all,
But my natural state…’T’is my own gross, gremlin grin;
My own foot-long ears; my own outlandish, fear-frizzed hair,
That altogether has me wailing, especially on
H a l l o w eve n night
“BOO-hoo! Boo! Boo-hoo!”

Cats in costume on an October Halloween
Dressed as robots, dogs, and a beauty queen.
Tromping along in a line, from door to door.
Smelling their chocolate candies, but wanting more.
Why don’t they give us sardines? One kit doth ask.
They cannot afford it said her pal in a butterfly mask.
How about pizza with anchovies? She does suggest.
Snickers and Reeses, says another who likes them the best

No longer can you plan a trip
When driving is the means,
For calculating ETA’s
Is like a hill of beans.
Construction doesn’t help things,
Though it keeps the traffic slowed,
But the problem is how many
Cars and trucks clog up the road.
To cross a bridge this morning,
Where the backup was a mess,
Added fifty minutes to our ride,
As well as lots of stress.
At times we cannot help it –
Cars can take us door to door,
But it certainly takes longer
Than it ever did before.

The eye's seen enough
The heart's beat a lot for the bluff
Of the joyful hope of sorrow
That’s promised for every morrow
By the driver of the land's wealth—
Who's covered the land's breath
Like the spreading sky.
Over many years of false
The land still remains
Like that of yesterday
Poverty kills a lot under
Your table—the record of life.
The crying eye sees
Time is getting older
We see unity as our weapon
Even you act like deaf master—
Who does not hear the cry of his servant
Why!
Why always making the poor to face the sun?
Why remembering us the root we came from?
Why making us like a beggar
Struggling out of mansion without stick?
In your time,
Education was free
Did we commit offense
That's made our time
To have an arm and a leg?
This ’s the unanswered question
We have kept asking.
Come back comrades!
It's time to light our candle!
Walk in street to street!
Move from door to door!
Shift from gate to gate!
With the beautiful song
Aluta continua!
Victoria acerta!

In today’s crazy,
topsy-turvy world,
you do
what you gotta do,
pick up jobs as you can,
but I must say
it is a bit awkward
to do your job
taking ‘grams
door-to-door
only to find
that you must
land a kiss
on your boss’s lips…

an ‘e’ lipogram that will not be delivered to any contest doors… :-)
