Dear Eve, the beauty of your poem captures both the joy and sadness of the Christmas season. The traditions retain their charm but the "soul that feels so hollow" feels the curse. So very poignant my friend. Congratulations for your win in Ink's contest. Warmest wishes for a happy Thanksgiving.. ~Susan

Dear eve, i really felt the depth of emotions flowing throughout this poem, grief can be hard especially on some days like christmas etc. and you’ve conveyed your thoughts and feelings in a most poignant manner. I love how descriptive it is too, and how you’ve written “ hymns in moonlit crisp air night“ “ nascent dawn“ “ without you, a soul that feels so hollow“ soul hitting write. I hope this Christmas you will find all happiness and joy with good memories close to your heart. Congratulations

A sad, nostalgic poem but lifted with grandchildren and get-together. I hope you have a Merry Christmas.
