This Christmas faerie came in determined to decorate our tree
It is our job, said my children Tommy, Tickle and Tippy Tee.
Stand back the aggressive faerie said, it is my job to do.
We tried to trick her outside, but she was a trickster too.
She flew around the room, decorating the mantle twice.
We were astounded, for a faerie she was not extremely nice.
Please let us do it, pleaded Tommy, Tickle and Tippy Tee.
However, she insisted on supervising the job of Christmas tree.
So many things to do.
Won't let the rain slow me down.
Check off my long checklist.

(This poem focuses on a defiant refusal to surrender to heartbreak)
My heart may break,
but I will not fall.
Grief may bend me,twist me,
make me ache,
but I refuse to wallow,
refuse to crawl.
I will stand,I will fight the darkness.
I choose to live,
to breathe again,
to find my strength.
The loss is a scar,not a grave.
I am undefeated,
I am free.
A determined bud
Struggled to flower,
The season had not cooperated;
A lazy sun
Dry clouds
Nature slower to awake
(when it comes to blossoms
My kitchen vase abhorrent
Of all those fake)
Finally, a bit of brilliant red!
A speckle of yellow and richest
Blue! A dazzle for spring to renew!
Not that I ever doubted~Love,
Now the birds are chirping
And the bees are buzzing too!
She’s got drive and ambition
Thriving in her wild chaotic crazy world
~ Determined to forge her path

I'll find you someday somehow
My mind's set I'll stop at nothing
There's no obstacle too daunting
Wordku: 5-7-5 words
Delighted to see you again
Even if for just one day,
Tomorrow has been cancelled
Especially stopped for you~
Remember life is but a puff of breath~
Maybe you forgot the deal I penned for you
Inked at the stroke of midnight,
Now payment is due~
Endorse this voucher with your blood,
Delay is not allowed on unhappy Halloween!
his face was a frown
generating hot anger
a determined grump
Life turns on a lark.
Will the day crack with a spark ?
Or turn pitch black dark ?
I have 33 reasons
Why I won’t go home.
I am a loyalist
Tortured by iniquity
Captive of antiquity
But the snake inside me
Is unfolding its fibers of cypress
And the water is thicker than blood
I have 33 reasons
Why I wont go home.
With silent eyes,
And beckoning cries,
And apathy to see underneath,
Began a climbing grief,
Of what he once used to be,
Closed the doors,
Don’t let them see,
Open the drawers,
Find the mask to be hidden,
And they won't yell ‘good riddance’,
With a sword in hand,
He battles like a dance,
Shooting like a sparrow,
With the precision of the arrow,
A time in the nights,
When they learn of the fights,
They look at you,
And find the room,
For his fate is to be determined.
Donkeys are known for their sheer stubborness;
determination beyond compare.
I see three "saints" for donkeys, nonetheless -
Mary's transport to Bethlehem's square
and Balaam's unique donkey, quite rare.
Mary's donkey is not mentioned per se
in God’s Word, but I don’t think she walked.
Balaam’s donkey saw an angel guarding the way.
After two beatings, he sat down and balked;
and in self-defense that poor donkey talked.
Balaam had not seen the angel’s drawn sword
warning him not to return to Balak.
Now he was told to speak only God’s words.
And what of the donkey? now on a sidetrack -
I hope Balaam had some treats in his knapsack.
There IS one more donkey, I should mention,
the one who carried Christ to Jerusalem
near the end of His salvation mission.
The foal of a donkey, a colt bore Him
to His venue of death and human mayhem.
I'm down on the ground,
My brain starts to pound,
It may not be fun,
But ten seconds aren't done.
10 seconds remain.
I still have time,
To arise again,
The timer hasnt hit ten,
Time isn't my friend,
8 seconds remain.
I punch hard, I kick,
I choke, I feel sick.
I try to yell, over the incessant chants,
This is the last time, my last chance.
Five seconds remain.
I call out, my plight.
I never wanted this fight.
I press up with all my might,
I feel progress, my eyes are losing their light.
Three seconds remain.
It all hurts, to breathe,
Under my worst foe, I am beneath.
For it is no human, it's within me.
I need to get up, to be free.
But it isn't over, I can win,
I push against that evil twin,
The sadness loses hold, I can get up.
One second remains.
she resigned herself to feeling morose macabre and melancholy
determined to be miserable, was our cousin, Miss Harriet Holly.
Focusing on wretched negativity, and all things bad.
Tossing good things out of her schemata said my friend Tad.
Determined to be solemn, depressed, angry, alone and sad.
It was a keen observation from the self-absorbed Tad.
Belinda has called my phone three times today
I have not responded, even texting her back
because she is always miserable and woeful
conversations are one-sided, and depressing
I had forgotten this when I reestablished contact
it did not take me long to remember
now I am stuck if I answer the phone
I do sometimes, when I am cleaning
so she feels listened to, getting my points in heaven
for only an angel would intentionally listen
she is melancholy and sad, and determined to remain so
