A Determined Bud

A determined bud
Struggled to flower,
The season had not cooperated;

A lazy sun
Dry clouds
Nature slower to awake
(when it comes to blossoms
My kitchen vase abhorrent
Of all those fake)

Finally, a bit of brilliant red!
A speckle of yellow and richest
Blue! A dazzle for spring to renew!

Not that I ever doubted~Love,
Now the birds are chirping
And the bees are buzzing too!

All those plants that struggled once when the season was adverse bloomed in glory when spring came to wake them. I assume that your garden will be full of flower in spring.

Hi Valsa; love plants. I had an entire table of rare ones. Went to Vegas for a brief vacation, asked my brother to take care of them...when I came back, all had not be watered. College kid at the time. Oh well.

Yep, flowers are beautiful...allergies, another story. We suffer for beauty sometimes.

Love my little garden, just a few plants. But I talk to them every day, companions in my near neighborhood. Got to go! I hear one flowering.
