Make room for Him - the God of miracles,
He is a wonder, mighty in power.
Our God is multifaceted, with many Names,
Lord, Saviour, Healer, Baptizer, and Deliverer.
Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valley,
He is who He declares - I AM, the Lord.
This season, He is moving with certainty,
On our behalf, His Hand wields Heaven’s sword.
When we whisper His Name, His Spirit will rise,
Stirring our souls, commissioning us anew.
His favour shields us with angelic eyes,
Unlocking our senses - sight and hearing too.
He moves in ways mysterious and rare,
With lightning, thunder - miracles everywhere.

Inside fortress* that offers rest
my weary soul breathes out blest sigh
lulled to slumber midst noisy pest
while to the Saviour I draw nigh
My heart welcomes music of hope
inside fortress that offers rest
as misty eyes serenely cope
with guitar strums reaching love’s crest.
Etching my mind with winning zest
Word of God prods me to fight pain
inside fortress that offers rest
smiting doubt’s cajole --- by faith’s gain.
Now, I’ll soar for triumphant flight
since revived, warmed in prayer nest
as lilacs waft courageous plight
inside fortress that offers rest.

From a comet’s tail, like pepper on a meal
sprinkling down on the land
upon the earth, the contagious death
the cleansing of God’s hand
Genocide made, from a periodic plague
swelling numbers of the dead
when life departs, with heavy hearts
of the times that lay ahead
From rich or poor, it seeks for more
to feed upon its evil
with terrible pain, of who were slain
by the horrific cosmic devil
Tearing the will, a numbness feel
no one is safe to hide
a celestial throw, of prevailing woe
on the comet’s trailing ride
Like a skyward beast, soaring from the east
a mighty dragon span
its subtle wings, and deadly fangs
and fire to decimate man
The invading spell, straight out of Hell
that curses all who live
their bodies writhe, to stay alive
and the suffering they give
Bringer of death, taker of breath
destroyer of life around
deliverer of ill, killer of will
burrier in the ground
With bodies spent, from furnace sent
from static streak on high
the festering cull, deflesh the skull
as the comet passes by

Of humanity's many members,
of smoky mountains standing in the clouds,
of the heavens You sprinkled with an infinity
of stars,
and valleys of the goodness of crops and
the moonlit magnolia trees,
oceans, lakes, rivers, and streams came to
life from You.
Of the joy of birds at the feeder,
I love You first.
My Jesus, my Christ,
the bats whoosh out of their caves
at twilight in their hunting of insects,
my grandchildren play on summer's lawns
with buttercups dotting the expanse,
whilst autumn stirs in his slumber,
as the days age more for me,
I love You first.
You're my morning star,
my evening comfort,
I adore You most sweetly,
You came for me when others didn't,
to rescue me from the hurt and the
mourning for the earth and her people,
her animals,
as hatred, as wars, as pollution
mars her glorious face,
I love You first.
You, Dearest Redeemer, Deliverer,
sent some of Your angels to watch
over us-
in frosted nights,
and in spring's awaited rebirth.

As the blade searches for the life of me,
