Premium Member Fantasy - Imagination Are Twins

"Fantasy ~ Imagination Are Twins. Having a fun time playing together in our dreams." By Poet

As I look into last night's "Dream,"
I see a "Visualization" downstream.
I see a huge bear and cubs dressed in lace of red and cream,
that is a crazy color scheme.
Is my "Imagination" going up in steam?
The bears looked very "Whimsy" like out of a daydream,
has this "Hullucination" gone to the extreme?
"Reverie" by this cold water stream.
In this wild dream I found no self-esteem,
just a large bright overhead laser beam.
No more eating ice cream with triple whipping cream.

Premium Member caterpillar bear cubs

three bear cubs
walked out of the trees
onto the driveway...

they were coated
from head to tail
with caterpillars...

and spent the next
half hour licking the
crawling protein off...

it was not to be wasted
according to instinct too
prepare for next winter now...

The Two Little Leopard Cubs: A Quest for Identity

The Two Little Cubs: A Quest for identity.
(A Cautionary Tale)

Two little leopard cubs
One shy, one bold,
went out to play
in the wild wide world.
Bold so bright -
Life a big adventure.
Shy so quiet-
Life a no go venture.
Played games together-
Shy learnt from Bold,
Rough and tumble
Not always gentle.

Which one do you think escapes
the focus of real danger?

Hidden out of sight...

Aqua Marine Musing again...
31 March, 2025.

True story captured by a wildlife photographer.
Lions are the fiercest of enemies for leopards. They attack and kill leopards without hesitation. The more adventurous cub, not yet
fully experienced in life was killed by lions. The "shy" cub escaped... To live another day.
Reminds me of Proverbs 22:3
"The shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself.
But the I experienced keep right on going and suffer the consequences..."

Premium Member Lion Cubs Grow Up

Lion cubs grow up we warned the child.
He did not care, he had grown up mild.
He brought the kit home and grew him tall.
As you can see six years later, he is no way small.

Premium Member The Cubs Are Winning Games

Chicago now has cause to cheer
The Cubs are winning games this year

I've checked things out and found
when the moon is up, the sun is down

     Large gray clouds do contain
snow, if cold; if warm, rain

Birds keep chirping, cats still meow
Cows graze and moo, dogs bark - bow-wow

  Who understands God's mysterious ways
The Cubs are winning ~ we cheer, amazed

drifting pollen swathes
golden contours round wood’s edge

Premium Member The Tiger Cubs

The tiger cubs play,
they screech,
play hide -and -seek,
pounce upon one another.

Mother licks them
with love and care.

They grab
their mother's tail
a hilarious sight.

It seems they are saying,
"Let us live ".

Premium Member Cubs Gotta Eat

Wolf mama here.
howling
taking care of business
feeding my cubs
tearing apart others
seeing them as food
Wolf mama here

cubs see me as playful
i can be
the hidden mom of me
well tucked-in when
the time comes
to turn other creatures
into food.

Wolf mama here
warning i am wise
and stealthy and
when i take a prisoner
it is for good

cubs gotta eat
hear the howling?
Wolf mama here

Cubs Lament

Cubs Lament

Alas and forsooth,
how the mighty have fallen.
From dizzying heights,
they have seen their destiny
fall into a darken abyss,
like so many before them.

Purity of heart could not bring
them the salvation they so desperately
sought.
Yet the journey
doth not end my brothers,
we turn yet another page.

As a baseball fan in the Windy City,
one had to tolerate a lot of mediocrity.
If you followed the Cubs, you deserved a lot of pity.
What kind of baseball team were the Chicago Cubs?
Each season was a continuation of hapless flubs.
Yes, they have had a history that is not too great.
They had not won a World Series since 1908.
Since then, not one season victory would the team yield
as they played their home games at Wrigley Field.

This year, there was an end to the stormy weather.
The team finally got their entire act together.
During the baseball season of 2016,
hitting, pitching, and defense looked pretty keen.
These boys played together like a well-oiled machine.
The Cubs finished first in the Central Division.
In the National League, they defeated their playoff opposition.
Although it took them to a seventh game,
the Cubs put the Cleveland Indians to shame.

Yes, this year, the Cubs finally won it all.
They are the World Series champions of baseball.

Cubs Victory

Another World Series
  I lay down and watched
as the Cubs
won it in ten
A victory after one hundred and eight years of frustration
My hometown team - the Mets
   didn't mention it this year
but I salute the Cubs of Chicago
Carl Sandburg wrote of that metropolis and
    wrote of baseball
Thousands upon thousands
    of fans
in
the
stands
  cry out
for the their team
   After the struggle
I pick up a pen - write this ode
   about the field of dreams

A Chicago Cubs Fan Prayer Answered

A Chicago Cubs-Fan Prayer Answered!

In nomine patri et fili spiritu of Ron Santo!
Let us all give thanks for Ernie Banks!

Let us play........, two!

Our Father, who art in Wrigley Field
Hallowed be thy ivy covered Brickhouse walls!
Thy new stadium will come, the owners will be done
On Clark and Addison, as it is, to sit in the sun with thy bleacher-bums!

Give us this day our daily dread but remove those lights that so offend!
Forgive us our trespasses and Cubs left on bases, as we forgive those
Teams who trespass these hallowed places!

Caray us on and win the pennant race, all’s we’re ask ‘in for Lord,
Is a couple a more runs!

Most of us can't afford a dog or beer in here, but a least da cops is really
Nice around here!

Lead us not into temptation and deliver us to a World Series, while were still young!

So grab a beer and join the cheer, cause we ain't leav'in Wrigley
Till "Yogi" say's it's over in here!

                                        AMEN!

Talking To the Lion Cubs

The Lion they said is a King,
Where kings can only reign and rest,
The lion is a fighter in a ring,
Where all opponents hide in nests,
No one can reveal his name or face,
No one can challenge and take a race,
But baby cubs are approachable,
If you only know how to approach,
And cuter when caressed, adorable,
When lying back rolling and rest!

My Blue, Frayed Cubs Cap

My blue, frayed Cubs cap
Here I hold you in my very own hands
As I look at this old, yet important cap
Many memories go back in many years

The first time I've received this cap
Was when my mother brought you home
As you were a brand-new cap
Bought from the store for five dollars

The happy times with my Cubs cap
From perfect pitches to walk-off hits
As thrown up in the air, this Cubs cap
Your victories will always bring me smiles

The sad times with my Cubs cap
From wild pitches to blown saves
As thrown to the ground, this Cubs cap
Your defeats have brought me tears

The surprising times with my Cubs cap
From listening Ron Santo to the rise of Rizzo
As worn on my head proudly, this Cubs cap
Your history will always give me hope

The many seasons gone through this cap
From playoff heartbreaks to division wins
As this once was a simple, new cap
With each passing year, it becomes old and frayed

In the future, I'll get a new Cubs cap
But this grown fan knows one thing for sure...
As I'll never throw you away, this old cap
My blue, frayed Cubs cap - you're my life's treasure

Our Father, who art in Wrigley Field
Hallowed be thy ivy covered Brick-house walls

On the mound, sit ‘in with the bleacher-bums or your rich roof-top owner friends
