A young soldier, set loose in the real world Initial positivity clouding judgement,
like teargas
Ignorance, blinding like snow on a sunny day
Human interaction;
Like eyes,
a beautiful sight until
you zoom in
Every man for himself,
ignoring the cries of those affected
Isolation,
a savior from the chaos
Happiness becomes like a card trick,
the closer you look the
farther you get
Thoughts become a cancer, slowly corrupting your mind
Refuge becomes a prison,
trapping
you inside yourself
A young soldier,
consumed by his attempts to grapple with reality
Desperately pleading with lost dreams
A realization
Hidden by the dirt, finally uncovered
Peace lies beneath the stone
They ask me what is race —
I say: a border drawn in skin,
a lie that learned to breathe,
A wicked seed planted from within.
It’s not blood. Blood doesn’t know color.
It’s not bone. Bone doesn’t hold grudges.
It’s a story — told so long,
so loud, so often,
we mistook the telling for the truth.
Race is a costume
A made up competition
Of existence.
HIS-Story made us wear.
Prejudice is the cousin
Of racism for they both go hand in hand.
While they prevent every color and creed from coming together and joining hands.
Some days it fits like armor,
some days it cuts like wire,
but underneath it, every time,
is just a person
asking to be free
of the box somebody else built.
So don’t ask me what race is.
Ask what it costs.
Ask who it protects.
Ask why we’re still drawing lines
on a map that was never really there.

Lacerates
Into tortured flesh
Fiery hailstones slowly embed
Underneath wailing dermis, sorrowfully bruising
A misplaced poet, madness gradually invading like rabies cultivating
Within tainted bloodstreams, forgotten faces liquify into frothing depraved moonbeams, psychedelic hallucinations corrupting
Underworld’s wolves broke their gate, snarling with labored breath, piercing of dawn welcomes a funeral of fireflies, eclipsed by a broken brain being delicately dissected by elongated canines feasting ravenously

In realms of reverie, I envision a domain,
Where serenity descends like gentle rain,
Love blossoms forth, a boundless, fertile ground,
And equality's radiant light shines all around.
A world where resources, rich and rare,
Are shared with equity, without a care,
The treasures of the earth, a collective wealth,
Bestowed upon all, a universal health.
In this harmonious sphere, we'll find our voice,
A world where every life is a precious choice,
Valued and cherished, each soul a gem,
Unencumbered by the shackles of phyletic whim.
A fraternal bond unites us, hand in hand,
We stand as siblings, in a world so grand,
One candle lighting another, a beacon bright,
Illuminating paths, banishing endless night.
A city of love, hope, and peaceful sway,
Where moral compass guides us, come what may,
A place of dignity, where all can thrive,
And the cacophony of discord, finally, dies.
In this utopia, power's corrupting grasp is stayed,
And the craving for dominance, a relic of a bygone day,
For we are stewards, of this wondrous earth,
Co-creators, with the divine, in a dance of mirth.

Plants and Animals of Earth
Earth is evergreen
With plants surrounding
Often medicine
To flesh corrupting
Earth is always round
With faunas roaming
Free, settled, bound
Eco they're balancing
Plants and animals
Without them we're gone
They're here before us
They must not be gone.

In the house of my conversion
Arriving here only by chance
Past pleasures became aversion
Frozen steps melted into dance
The invisible procession to peace
Began from tabernacles of the just
Over corrupting cliffs without cease
To resurrection of Christ’s power without lust
From Hell to Purgatory and on to grace
Angelic visions of rebirth were seen
A guarantee for renewal became a race
To heavenly skies of a supernatural dream
Where perfect minds and form
Rose up again from the old
Saved from their past sins outgrown
Brought back home again out of the cold
On the moon a monolith stands on watch.
Searching for signs of humanoid arrival.
It is the sentinel for Earth's Gaia's cousin 'Yahah'.
The living God that protects the moon.
It sweeps up the dust of footprints
defacing its moon face persona.
It confounds the signals of alien
craft trying to land, so they crash.
It is a tower of Babel confusing conversations.
Destroying hope of foreign civilizations from
polluting, defiling, destroying, scaring, and
corrupting lunar landscapes and sacred ways of life.
Beware the Looming Tower of Yahah
It will be Your Eternal Undoing!
In the agora or out on the street
Wherever public figures I did meet
In conversation I loved to engage
Only to find my questions would enrage
I chipped and chipped at their exterior
Their words hollow with no interior
My young disciples would heartily laugh
At my victims' unease and ev'ry gaffe
My deft manner of the question quizzical
Drove them to plot a bitter reprisal
My daemon urged me to expose deceit
My mission became to puncture conceit
Fake news my furious foes spread about
And brought me to court my campaign to rout
Charged with corrupting Athenian youth
In defence I spoke nothing but the truth
They turned a deaf ear and they paid no heed
So inflamed were they by this irksome deed
The verdict of guilty came as no shock
My sentence-to die by drinking hemlock
They hoped I would flee this condemnation
I chose to keep the laws of my nation
To the shame of Athens, I preferred death
Affirming my content with my last breath
In my drinking of the draught down, they saw
How much I honoured the virtue of law.

Life's canvas, a vibrant hue,
Where colours dance, a symphony is true.
Harmony's embrace, a gentle hand,
Anger's fire, to peace is planned.
Walls rise high, a fortress of stone,
Built on cries of power, a bitter groan.
Tyranny's shadow, a chilling blight,
Power's corrupting touch, a soul's night.
Red, the blood of battles fought and won,
Yellow, the sun's warmth, a struggle began.
Blue, the sky's vast expanse, a yearning plea,
Green, the land's embrace, for all to see.
Indigo, the wisdom of ages past,
Orange, the fire of hope, that will forever last.
Purple, the royalty, a crown of might,
Black, the darkness of greed, a soul's lost light.
Passion's flame, a love that knows no bounds,
A tapestry of lives, where peace resounds.
Across the borders, a shared humanity,
A vibrant future, for all to see.
From ancient hues to modern-day's embrace,
Let colours guide us, to a peaceful space.
For life's true value, is love's gentle hand,
A world united, across the land.
The creative mind
Manifests a work of art
With naught but words
Bridging the gap
Between thoughts
And words
And the more you write
A river may become a sea
And then an ocean of words
Held in your fingertips
You hold the mightiest mountain
Made of words
Like a DNA structure
It is the foundation for expression
Amid a bounty of words
I search for them in your eyes
I search for them in your mind
But in your heart are these words
Cascading down your cheeks
Corrupting my sense of self-righteousness
Sometimes it hurts...those words
But a creative mind
Need not manifest something convoluted
To say the simplest words
...I love you
Hate Speech
Miracle Man
4/22/2024
Hate speech is always abusive,
and disrupting.
It never gives thought to the mind
its corrupting.
Hate speech is rampant throughout,
the land.
And with each sunrise the flames,
are fanned.
Perhaps we’ll agree to disagree,
some future day.
So that each faction is granted,
a peaceful say.
Laying dormant are feelings,
awaiting exposure.
Many feel the need to be aired,
for closure.
Protest actions now go beyond,
free speech.
And when this happens others rights,
they breach.
Hopelessness is a loyal mistress.
Tender agonies whispered in ones ear,
twisted thoughts to forget by sunlight;
only the uneasy shadows cast doubt.
Warming embrace of past mistakes,
lovingly corrupting every though;
every joyous memory left defiled.
She is a tenacious, unstoppable force.
Sacred truths lifted from impenetrable walls;
raised up as if by providence, thusly burned.
Loneliness is the timber piled to the sky,
entombing childish dreams of the everlasting.
Hatred for the self becomes a ready tinder,
Lost sparks of loving hands burn forever.
Motherly care scorning innocence;
beautiful tenderness charred to a black husk.
Hopelessness is a loyal mistress,
ever guiding you into the abyss.
Hope a bonfire lit by loving hands.
