Notes About The Poem
Written on August 5th 2026 for Hiya Sharma's Stars or Fireflies Fibonacci Poetry Contest.

Funeral of Fireflies

The Nights Fury Lacerates Into tortured flesh Fiery hailstones slowly embed Underneath wailing dermis, sorrowfully bruising A misplaced poet, madness gradually invading like rabies cultivating Within tainted bloodstreams, forgotten faces liquify into frothing depraved moonbeams, psychedelic hallucinations corrupting Underworld’s wolves broke their gate, snarling with labored breath, piercing of dawn welcomes a funeral of fireflies, eclipsed by a broken brain being delicately dissected by elongated canines feasting ravenously

Woahhhhh this is scaryyyy 😱 I got chills when I first read this and I got more even now! How do u do this! The Dark Queen! Absolutely mind-blown with all the devouring imagery that you've layered here in such a magnificent yet melancholic manner, must I also say that everything is quite vivid and deep and haunting... I know how this feels on an emotional level, when in isolation even the blankness tends to feed on our souls.. bit by bit.. pulse by pulse.. sigh .. with their psychedelic hallucinations.. your descriptions are jus off the chartsssss! 😢🌹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🔥 Congratulations on your top placement in my contest, sweet Sara, loved reading thisss!!! Your elegant forte, so gothic and grieving! Sending you tonz of best wishes and hugszz 🧚 ✨ 🍂 💫 🌙

ummm.... well, I'm glad I wasn't around for that beastly massacre! Whoa, Sara... this is so within the realm of your writing... deeper than dark!
