THE HOUSE OF MY CONVERSION

In the house of my conversion
Arriving here only by chance
Past pleasures became aversion
Frozen steps melted into dance

The invisible procession to peace
Began from tabernacles of the just
Over corrupting cliffs without cease
To resurrection of Christ’s power without lust

From Hell to Purgatory and on to grace
Angelic visions of rebirth were seen
A guarantee for renewal became a race
To heavenly skies of a supernatural dream

Where perfect minds and form
Rose up again from the old
Saved from their past sins outgrown
Brought back home again out of the cold
