Big Ben

When asked, 'If the orchestra conductor
had made an effort more concerted
not to miss the concert
and a sordid scene averted,
would he have been less disconcerted?'
"Don’t ask me, I’m only the drummer,"
replied I in chagrin.
And, altho' the name of my favourite band
is the one I am currently in,
I do like the sound of the moniker, 'Big Ben,'
it's music to my ears and have to admit,
it has a certain ring to it."
As it appeals one feels it would sell well as a bell
(at fifteen point one short tons)
and wake everyone with its loud knell.

Premium MemberDisorderly Conduct

Dear Karen, there’s something I need:
I’ve got you a poem to read.

A deficit in one’s attention
is probably best left unmentioned.

If boring writes get you distracted,
my outcome’s adversely impacted.

For when the dear reader is addled,
strong placements just up and skedaddle.

Before you’ve a chance to retort,
just know that I’m keeping it short.

Disorder escapes its confines
perusing these final two lines!

Disorderly Conduct

Disorderly Conduct

Keep to the right
Keep to the right
Teachers all taught
Keep to the right

Stay on the right
While we all walk
So it’s not chaos
Crossing crosswalks

Dodging and bumping
While in the store
Now it’s all madness
No order no more

Keep to the right
Is obsolete
It went in decline
For the…me me

Keep to your right
Or to your left
It’s about order
Not politics

Stay in your lane
Stay in your lane
It was so simple
Now it’s all lame

Never

Don’t live your life with skin that’s thin.
Never be sorry, never give in.
Never apologize, never explain.
Never surrender to meanings not plain.

Never forgive, never forget
Never be soft, never regret
Always defend what you know is true
Against others who haven’t a clue.

Arguments based on empathy,
Are spineless, and lack honesty
Though stated with intensity.
They're nonsense, not reality.

Premium MemberMiss Conduct

Miss Conduct rocks on her high horse
And vitriol soon starts to course
Right through all her veins
She always complains
There’s never a hint of remorse

She’s always so nasty and rude
Her language is often quite crude
She sure likes to holler
But thinks she’s top dollar
Her actions can’t be misconstrued

Premium MemberConveyed Orderly Conduct-

Now is the beginning end;
Your enemy is truly your friend;
When it's finished,
and it's over it's never completed;
Before it's under succeeded;
And I confess;
That I have established;
 I am that I am;
Conveyed orderly conduct;
Here I stand;
An enabling product;

Conduct Unbecoming a President

Jinping and Putin made a pact
To teach Donald Trump how to act
But first things first
His cloud must burst
So Trump can tell fiction from fact!

Disorderly Conduct

Quiet on the set, you annoying disrupter
Your carrying on is causing unproductivity
The well oiled machine has lost its lubricant
A clog in the artery of consistsncy, you block blessings
With so many distracted minds, you are not needed
One cannot paint if one cannot focus
Move your self from the assembly line
Disrupt those who yearn to hear your dissonance
For this tune, plays perfectly fine without you

Before actions go around to come around,
all deeds ascend up, then truth lessons shower down.
Such is the universe’s tried, true recipe
that has been employed for all of history.

Whether conduct is good, bad or otherwise,
all human behavior meets heaven’s keen eyes.
If we say it, pray it, think it or do it,
it goes up, then down once karma reviews it.

Unsportsmanlike Conduct

Such violent acts going on in the N.F.L.
And all glossed over by Roger Goodell
In seeing the tape of Ray Rice's knockout
Rodger didn't see any wrong in such a bout

Then when Mr. Peterson beat his own child
Rodger said I've seen worse, that one is mild
See Roger makes 43 million dollars a year
In holding his prestigious title so very dear

But then finally came the loud uproar
Now poor old Rodger, he wasn't so sure
And as the big sponsors left the game
Losing all that money would be such a shame

So now Mr. Goodell said he didn't get it right
But now 49er Ray McDonald is in his new sight
49ers Head butting Ray will play this weekend
He's playing PERIOD is the message the 49ers send

We'll Rodger we're waiting, for sorry won't due
You are that guy who doesn't have a clue
You and the guys and Denise go count your cash
But look at her face and please look at that child's gash

Ray McDonald broke the law, EI, EI, OH

His Final Conduct

Ticking! Tacking!! Tic Tac!!!
Time is running, seconds passing by
Years going with nothing that counts
Greys are showing, almost ready to die

Ticking! Tacking!! Tic Tac!!!
Flashes of his past, shadows of his future
Contents in his heart, wicked like the vulture
He wishes to go back, but back is not an option

Ticking! Tacking!! Tic Tac!!!
The best gift, He is not dead yet
To make his pact with GOD, he does first
To engrave his name in hearts, he does next

Ticking! Tacking!! Tic Tac!!!
Time is running, seconds passing by
The time is calling, he's ready to die
In heaven, he sits with a lovely smile

Ticking! Tacking!! Tic Tac!!!

:: Look to this day... For yesterday is but a dream and tomorrow, only a vision... But TODAY well-lived, makes every yesterday, dreams of happiness and tomorrow, vision of hope.

GOD IS WAITING ON YOU

Codes of Conduct

...to My Mom

She was always in the kitchen,
kneading pastry with good humour,
blending garnishes and gossip
as she wove her magic wand
and it was dinner time.

Struggling with algebra
I'd agonize for hours, 'til frustration
got the best of me, she tucked me into bed.
In the morning she was ready with
two fried eggs, the answer, and a hug.

Music was her gift to me, along with
many others, the sound of her soprano
voice still mellow in the air,
the wrath of God was nothing to
her tantrums at my misbehaviour.

Sights and smells come bursting through
as if it were just yesterday,
gentle guidance, remonstrations,
blending like her recipes
for cakes and codes of conduct.

Conduct

Be fluid in honesty,
Transparent in truth,
Don't yield to hypocrisy,
Your morals since youth.

Unwavering compassion,
Show all those in need,
Forever remember,
The price paid for greed.

Armed with conviction,
Stand firm against wrong,
And never forget,
To a King you belong.
