I'm caramel, gooey and sometimes saucy.
Sweet but sometimes salty.
Everybody knows it ~ not sure if you do
I'm still figuring out what you are
because once I've seen your prickly side
I keep picturing you as jalapeno
To be quite honest ~ I can't help but think
we might not be the ideal combination

A mandala sun
the evening sky expanding
past the pollution
lurking
in the midst of
the drama and chaos
a miniature miracle
that is
nature’s gift to us
the sunset cherry blossoms
twirling down to earth
plethora of pink petals
landing among mere mortals
There's high winds and rain
tail end of a hurricane
driving me insane.

We've been getting rain and high winds since last night. It was driving me insane, because my living room window leaks.
Push into me-
With all of your form swallowed whole as I press from my knees,
Shake me...
My sense of free-
Is pulled from the flesh: stretch the root to my chest as you run,
Through me.........
Force me aligned,
Leave your mark and I'll promise to take all of these...
Senses you rise,
Into others who can never follow me
Deep as I've seen,
Such a truth that your presence impressed into me...
Speak not to me,
For i give my heart to secrets, abhorred...
Who claims your soul?
Perhaps it's the one long ago who you thought was forgone...
Still them...
What can you be?
When all of your essence already was brought to the void...
With them..
Still leading hearts
To enable through what you impart onto them
The claim to your art
To remind inside where their embrace stayed
Sworn to their gaze
Instigations of dreaming their hearts memory
Reach not for me
As you rise to serve what you have born them.
Cold as ice
Tries to entice
Sweeter than honey
Better than money
Such a great taste
No need to make haste
Easy to bake
Ice cream and cake
The combo is right
All day and all and all night
They play in the morning sun
late Fall snow it has begun,
through the cold the branches sway
in the morning sun, they play.
Chickadees play all day through
'neath the morning sky so blue,
have a good time come what may
all day through, chickadees play.

This is my own style of poetry. I figured I would sit down and try to pen a style of poetry I haven't tried before. Then thought, hmmm why not try to put two together? I tend to do this a lot.
Summer has quickly come and gone
you can smell the Fall in the air
tomorrow will bring a new dawn
look around, trees are going bare
Fall jackets, people start to wear.

He staggers and stumbles all around
on the floor, his underwear I found
he laughed hard, then fell down
I'm speechless, not a sound
mooned me, from beneath my wedding gown.

I haven't penned one of these for a long while. Believe it or not, I had a hard time trying to think of what to write.
Trees and birds outside shiver in the breeze
in minus twenty to thirty degrees
deep freeze.

We've been going through a deep freeze for the past week, here in Eastern Canada. We can't get to zero or even above zero through the day. It's minus sixteen, eighteen and when you throw in the wind chill factor, it's minus 20's and 30's. It's crazy. We'll be stuck in the freeze until later next week. WOW! The January thaw last week, really spoiled us.
This is my own style of poetry.

I didn't notice what I was doing, until I was counting the syllables. So, I decided to look them up in my list of saved Poetry Styles. I knew I was writing a Monorhyme, but .... after counting the syllables, I had to check and see, if the syllable count matched any poetry styles I had. I found exactly what I was looking for. This is my own style of poetry.

In a warm morning in Colombo
There is a package in a bow
And a letter say, "Love, I'll be home tomorrow"
A gift and love memo, what a perfect combo
*Since Im living in Colombo, it will be rude to not mention it, atleast once ;)
"The peacemaker" is Glock's new gun
Its spent rounds are rapture and fun
Yes killing's a thrill
Since I'm mentally ill
And need to own more than just one
A gun for me is like prozac
The bullets clipped pills in a stack
I'm not paranoid
But have weapons deployed
In case I should have an attack
Compassion; intelligence - combination
Putting in life vibration!
Fighting off fear
You'll be fine dear!
Over depressing funk?
Anything but junk!
Reaching out's begun
Time to have fun!

W hilst here I sit in pajamas beige
R inging in my ears does constantly engage
I n keeping with the simple message
T o write words with meter, rhyme, then gauge
E ach to their relationship upon the page.
P oor me, to be at such a stage
O f wrangling with those words I allege
E ach time only to hope to assuage
T hat ego that says I am some gifted sage
Y et know, I am only showing my age.
