Before my life was in
colour
I wrote in black and
white
Imagine a world without colour
How bleak it would be
Our universe grey and lifeless
As far as the eye can see
We take colour for granted
Yet it puts the life into our world….enriching our souls
Today, l truly appreciate colour
For colouring our earth…..beautiful and bold
Without fantasy
What would life be?...To Poets?
Sere, dull and empty!
Drowning in a mirthless salty ocean of pitch black memories
Your chromophobic soul punctured with vibrant cobalt blue scars
Your bloodycrimson tears painted with dull shades of smiles and stories
My yellow sunshine veiled by the drowning ache in your stitched heart
That golden twinkle of wisdom in your soul fading away into oblivion
All the green shades of jealousy my palate of a face portrayed when your lips sketched her name
The orange cloud of happiness that trapped us within the fragile flames of fire
Playing with pink knives of love and swallowing the melancholy to remain sane
We smudged those neon colours into the white papers of the book of our doomed love
We go up in flames, we cry, we break, but let's stay together, right here right now.
A mental wall of pain and thrall
With silent sobs and bodies sprawled
Onto this note I hastily scrawl
The memories that I recall
I recall a rainy night
With blood so red at sheets so white
I was sad and filled with fright
It feels like now, from Hell I write
A blackened soul, a heart so cold
An empty mind, a fragile soul
This pain I barely cannot hold
I've almost lost my self-control
A deep inhale and then deeper I thrust
I don't really want to do it, but I must
Not a soul in this world I can truly trust
This world is purely useless and unjust
I can no longer live with this pain
If I remain I will not stay sane
I will have to be caged and restrained
To not cause pain to those in my way
To paint the glistening snow a warm red
Then put your cold body back in your bed
I write a note to deceive the fools
Then at night, I take them too
My will is strong, please help me rot
Because alive, I'm just a dot
Around my neck is a slipknot
Cause live like this, I cannot
Say that again, cause I forgot
What made blood on my arms a lot
And your aggression is quite odd
You are the victim, I am not
suppressed pain
tormented
killing the insides of
colourless dreams
dissolving into
the Dead Sea
redundant
Colourless
Woke up
It was morning
And I was
Colour blind
The optician
Had no glasses
For this
Illness
I bought
A kaleidoscope
The world I see
Is crazier than I thought
Leafed to be reft
Ashen greys in bleak surround
Cover of night dies
It's stillness, in cry, out loud
My life, will be skeletal

Isolated, lonely, alone
Apart, aside colourlessly known
Yet a music, song for the world
Unseen, unheard, tales told
The dryness of scorching heat and the dogs days warmth
And the spirit, muse that it unknowingly, namelessly pourth,
Somewhere invisible yet succulent, surfeit, existence,
Detached yet poignant attachment- what honourable significance
Colourless yet colourful of multifarious steadfast tones-
Spreads the cheer, blithe, gaiety consoles the torn.
