A new sun has arisen in the dawning literary sky,
the poetry horizon is illumined by the flash of Ai.
Novel ideas and stylistic stimulation the poets get
from metaphoric spectrum of the sun that doesn’t set.
Experimenting with different poetic forms Ai is free
to motivate new perceptions for innovative poetry.
Choosing Ai as creative collaborator poets may flock
when they need help to overcome the writer’s block.
The delicate domain of human emotions in Ai is hollow,
making its structured poems seem artificial and shallow.
Devoid of life skills it lacks human feelings in the core.
So, the artistic depth of passion its essence can’t explore.
Ai poems may replicate the existing ones with dexterity,
inviting queries about plagiarism and originality.
The poems of heart run the risk of being undermined
by Ai, overshadowing the lively reflection of the human mind.

'Twas not long ago, I did retire -
Time for me to regroup.
And like a buzzing fly, I fell into
A bowl of Poetry Soup!
My IT job did not prepare me.
Artistically, I'm a dupe.
My reading list has only Dr. Suess.
Don't scoop me from Poetry Soup!
My greatest influence, I must say,
Is the brilliant Betty Boop.
I would surely like to swim with her
In some Poetry Soup!
If you're wondering, you'll soon find out
Just how low I will stoop
To find a rhyming word that I can use
Here on Poetry Soup!
Perhaps, writing poetry will help me,
My marbles to recoup.
If so, I'll save on therapy bills
On good 'ol Poetry Soup!
I don't just joke, Joe, I can write like Poe,
In one ghastly fell swoop!
Oh boy, did I really frighten you
On scary Poetry Soup?
If I want to learn about poetic forms,
Right here I get the scoop,
And I can get help and feedback too
Here on Poetry Soup!
I even found a collaborator,
I kept her in the loop,
We made a delicious recipe, called
Gumbo Poetry Soup!
Poems of others, also make it nice
To belong to this group,
And so, I'm a lifetime member of
Glorious Poetry Soup!

female collaborator,
passionate romantic lover,
despicable and unforgivable traitor
or cringing victim of horrendous war-rape
they know not.
shave her head
in a grotesque ceremony
of humiliation
they do
nevertheless.
such are the ways of the human,
despicable morally
in group
as she is.

When
I
thought
of
more
You promised less
You warned me about my mentor
My co-collaborator
More
The principal patient palling
Do you like score?
You closed the book
More
notes more pitch
Paraphrasing did I mention
In my mind there stepped a shorter song
I crave the pop, primal poem
Less
I discovered the footnotes
It threw its ghost against the sidebars
I heard an even, steeper singing
As of someone gently slinging, slinging
The ripping rating refraining, more, more, more
The slice of melodies whispering to me
never abstaining less
What could there be more purely entertaining?
I crave the more than, melodious motivator
I write this poem, this song I am saying

No pen in the hand of writing thought
Here every page of day feeds me a lot
Golden butterflies are flying over there
Before the evening dark falling sheer
Teen girls are busy in the badminton game
In dreamy selfie with kids some of them
Along with the sun outside is becoming silent
Stays empty the field alongside the rail lines
From the minaret holy words of azan is coming
Awaken in me the smell that another day is going
Every life keeps going on in this way trip
Where true confidence changes into a belief
Though no belief I have, yet I pray to the Almighty
Belief is a true collaborator of confidence only

I am very pleased to be able to present
a sixth collaboration with great friend and poet,
Robert Lindley, who is well known to you all
for his magnificent epic masterpieces.
Our latest collaboration is marked by
an unexpected brevity that has, I believe,
pleased us both in its pointed execution.
I am proud to continue to write
with such a fine collaborator.
A Shadow Emerges
A collaboration with Robert Lindley
6th February 2019
As its light was shining bright
a dark shadow crossed the scene,
a curse in the day and night
vile-blood spilled from its splintered spleen.
Sickness invades absent mind
doubts attack with no reprieve,
thoughts invade,darkest kind,
Hell acts fast, we must believe.
Shadow has taken its form
light's splendor, it now deforms
Darkness, deforming the light,
casts and forms the shadow’s might.
Having snuffed the shining light,
darkest shadow claimed the scene,
it no longer stood in sight,
for it was all, all unseen.
Scourge of Disease only ends
when death ascends to its throne,
now the form contorts and bends,
final chill darkens the bone.

Late hours of evening, back to home alone
Lizards preying on insect, cockroach flying happily
No old nets of derelict spiders in dark blue airs
Archipelago scenery grinning on my coming back
(Neon Tetra, Guppies, Oscar, Mollies, Zebra Danios…etc)
Aquarium fishes configuring themselves as pike’s teeth
Ideal lazy books on shelf peeping me all behind black regime door
On the kingdom of plain dust your footprints calling me
I'll find you before my ever sleeping on the blue valley of death
As angelic child your sleeping enjoy the nimbus in overshadow nights
All delightful rest will be with your tears on golden eyes of sun
Tissue of heart will wipe your all pain by sparkling hand of moon
Your stainless eyes will lay down with dream touching
Piece of death history will not come to you as the festival cake
Although Death enjoys pains and Night is it bosom collaborator in elegy
Yet, my love roses are your undying friend from my endless walking path
Late or soon
I’m your boon
Everywhere together, not alone
Even if, bleached by the sun and scorched by the moon!

Cold rain is my companion on this night that's gone askew
I walk the street alone, my heart in splinters and shattered
Rain mingles with tears; my world blurred in shades of blue
Love is a paradox of emotions, tossed about and scattered
I walk the street alone, my heart in splinters and shattered
Shadows lengthened in the lambency of burning lamp light
Love is a paradox of emotions, tossed about and scattered
Melancholy memories haunt me in cloudy visions tonight
Shadows lengthened in the lambency of burning lamp light
You say it's over and now I’m left with a fragmented heart
Melancholy memories haunt me in cloudy visions tonight
My pain is raw. I can't comprehend why you would depart
You say it's over and now I’m left with a fragmented heart
Rain mingles with tears; my world blurred in shades of blue
My pain is raw. I can't comprehend why you would depart
Cold rain is my companion on this night that's gone askew
Thank you to my collaborator. Something old is new again.

You didn't even wait for my reply
Or for me to even ask why
When you left a teardrop and a sigh
With the note you left that said goodbye
I'm left with just the memories
Of how things used to be
Of moonlit walks beneath the stars
And early morning strolls by the sea
I think you had to know before I left
pearlescent love had somehow turned to gray.
Although I knew that you would feel bereft,
the joy had slipped away; I could not stay.
Those memories, like a red rose pressed
between a keepsake’s pages, cannot die.
Bliss fades, but I’ll recall when love was best
from time to time, and I too, Dear, shall cry

You just can’t trust ‘em,
your best interest ain’t in their best interest
They got Gethsemane garden secrets to sell
Escargot Iscariot is a Sadducee delicacy
that got a fishy smell
Being a fisher of men
is a dangerous occupation
Spiritualizing carnal minds
can put you in a perilous situation
Councils with Roman collaborator desires,
search always for the weak link
Filthy lucre cheese promises
temptingly sniffs out a rat-fink
A gospel life is always in doubt
when you’re being hemmed in by a sellout
Midnight raids,
being secretly led away
Liberty fades,
kangaroo court charade
You just can’t trust a dirty inside man,
your best interest is gonna be usury betrayed
So many Galilee succulent secrets to sell
Escargot Iscariot is a Pharisee delicacy
that got a fishy smell
Fighting against righteous fishers of men,
is gonna put you on a slave boat straight to hell
Being sold out by a sellout
is a winsome sow
that will reap a beautiful reward
Heaven is what every Christian be always talking about

Salvation seeps in the mist
And as light fades
awe sings in temporal sonnets
while goldenrod flits the fields
and lavender scents joyful whispers
for here neath this shadowy creature,
Point Percee revels,
wonder dances on cobblestones
and voices are lifted beyond horizons
as this warrior of scalloped wing
and fire brand culls the night skies
sweeping enchantment in place of fear,
taken from the last war
Salvation seeps in the mist
where lost sons had fallen and once again
risen within the flames of life,
breaths of cast dreams
where heroes fly and all is well
With torches raised high,
embers of elation flicker on soft winds
illuminating cheers and celebrations
in the name of the knight
and his fearless collaborator

you were taking lovers,
a tunnel collapsed.

The vision
rolls back. The moon
releases the dark secrets.

A collaborator
gives in. The street spreads
the names.

SERENA - LOST TO ME – STORM
Collaborator
Vanish to thin air
Ban this poet
What reason that’s fair?
Why ban me?
I am not Steve
Two simple questions
Left unanswered , like you don’t believe
Spoken conversation?
Never was the last.
Never have we spoken
Now or in the past.
I just wanted to create
Poetic fusion
But you mistook me
For your ex, for whom you hate.
Took my contribution as an insult.
Now that I realize, it is far too late.
To Serena Storm, who I assume banned me from her poetrysoup page, because I can’t see any of her stuff. Serena I am who I say I am and I am not who you think.

The collaborator
He and his wife ran a high class grocery shop
and I was often outside looking in absorbing
rarefied air of middle class living, that was till
his wife saw me and shushed me away.
War came, the window display got a bit thinner
by now there was also a sprinkling of officer of
the occupying army. A grocer hear things and it
can, if whispered in the right ear, be advantageous.
The war ended and the grocer had money to paint
his shop in bright colours, which was nice in a war
weary, drab little town. Time is an enemy his wife
died he displayed her picture amongst Portuguese
sardines. And we all came to look. A supermarket
opened and we lost interest in a little grocer shop.

At the moment, I’m looking for a collaborator
who will help me write something with the bite of an alligator.
Tracie, our “Indigo Dreamweaver “ sponsors a contest right now.
I would like to submit a poem somehow.
With writing, I know many of you are quite able.
Just write something good and put it on the table.
We will get fifty points each for this caper.
Just write down something impressive on paper.
We may get two hundred and fifty points each if we win.
Let’s get together as soon as possible and begin.
I’m serious!
