Jacko - Michael Jackson 1958-2009

Singing and dancing,
as the last to arrive,
he outshone his brothers
in the Jackson Five.
Moonwalking across the stage,
he was quite the fancy dancer,
but what happened to his other glove,
is a question no one can answer.
Comparing the early to his later work,
you can hear it when he sings,
Michael the 'King of Pop',
put a new complexion on things.
But in '85, with 'We Are The World',
he was dead wrong,
when he wrote the lyric
to the song,
as, from sea to shining sea,
on this globe there is much more,
than only that there north American shore.
Yet, Billie Jean (not his lover) was just a girl
who claims that he is the one,
and Bubbles brought on many troubles,
but the chimp is not his son.

Chimp on a unicycle
Sure, why not?
A versatile learner
Who can be taught
This one can do sign language too
Signing to his owner “I love you”

Premium MemberHarold the Hostile Intimidating Chimp

Harold is the most hostile chimp king we have ever had
I said “he could not be tougher than my angry granddad”
Then I met him, and he was real bad with a skull for a crown.
Surrounded by roses, pheasants and feathers, ram horns made a sound.

He is rather frightening I admitted, for I was afraid of his gold eyes.
I am afraid of him too said Queen Mother, his mom – no big surprise.
Big Lulu came by and kicked Harold off his throne with much glee.
Having no idea that she was his wife, I was astounded by she.

Premium MemberCarlos the Cosmonaut Chimp

Carlos clever carnivore, courageous cosmonaut chimp
Tried twice to turn twisters, for he was an incredible imp.
Twisters tossed him toward Pluto, he went up in the air.
Whether he comes back or not, few of us gave a care.

Inner Chimp

I have an impish inner chimp
Alive within my soul.
I am quite mean with time for him
But sometimes let him play.
If he gets out it’s drinks all-round
(My shout).
He suggests all kinds of s**t;
But whenever he’s the cause if it
There’s happiness and wit.
Remorse is often soon behind
His times of out and free.
He’s naughty, sure but handy too:
He takes the blame from me.

Premium MemberBad Clown of a Chimp- Nursery Rhyme

At the zoo was a new chimpanzee
that the school kids were eager to see.
Though we looked all around,
he just couldn’t be found.
He was hiding high up in a tree.

When we spied him at last, we yelled HEY.
We hoped he would come down and play.
But he was a bad clown,
for the brown stuff thrown down
at the children I do not dare say.

At that clown of a chimp I could cuss.
He jumped down and through bars looked at us.
He then started to spit,
and we couldn’t take it.
Field trip done! We ran back to our bus.

Premium MemberChimp Or Crow

sitting on the deck
outback earlier today
sunny warm and cool

the north side trees cried
a loud long chimpanzee breeze
bellowing squawks shrieks

and songbirds upset
by a loud spring juvenile
letting excess air

from there a crow flew
to the trees on the south side
it began again

the chimps name is crow
one noisy beak of a bird
just like some people

fall guy actors
with the manners of a brat
with politics too

A Chimp Named Francisco

There once was a chimp named Francisco
Who loved to eat gooey Crisco
When given the chance
He'd laugh and then dance
The waltz, the tango, and disco.

The Chimp In Us

The Chimp in Us
Frodo, the chimp, took on the old leader and won,
the old one has to flee into the jungle, and is now
ostracized…the strongest always win, just like us
the strongest nation tries subjugating the weak ones.
We humans have been able to set up a social system
that works, even if at times shakily, if not old me,
would be reduced to eat banana leaves and rotten
fruit discarded by the victorious.

The war in Syria is a young man´s battle they try to
get rid of the old rulers and when they win, they
will, the future is not rosy for losers, who will be
killed or sent into exile. The strict rule the fanatical
will try to enforce makes me shudder. Frodo too
shall be slain or sent into exile… chimps and us have
much in common we seek power for our ego that
is only satisfied when dominance is absolute.

Premium MemberChimp Jim and Dandy

Once me and my chimp friend bald Jim
flew through a forest limb to limb
his opposable thumb
got caught in my ho-hum
thank God old Jim’s not real prim.

My name is Miss Fine and Dandy
Bald Jim often brings me candy
a banana toffee
always does it for me
and him, since he's oh so randy.
