trust me

trust me
trust me like your trust fund baby
trust me like the world is crazy
trust me is too understated
i mean feel me
feel me like the world might kill me
haunt me like abandonded buildings
crawl into my skin like bugs into a healing
old wound that never closed
i need you that close
i need you to really know
how will you ever grow
if you never go
a little bit insane
chase me like a runaway train
kiss me like its pouring rain
claim me with your disgraced name
stick it on the end
ill take it
take it like a shot of whiskey (so smooth)
take it like the cure that saved me (i need you)
take it like my heart is bleeding
and there's just one ounce left
and i'm gonna give it to you (i would die for you)

Champions of Liberty

Freedom's flame ignites,
From every nation's heart,
Heroes rise in light.

Gandhi's gentle strength,
Mandela's enduring fight,
Chavez, a beacon.

Across distant lands,
Aung San Suu Kyi's plight,
Malcolm's righteous rage.

Garvey's call to arms,
Rosa's quiet defiance,
Bhutto's fearless voice.

Chávez leads the charge,
Bolívar's dream takes flight,
Park's iron resolve.

In each heart, they live,
Their legacy burning bright,
Freedom's champions.

Their names etched in time,
Inspiring souls to fight,
For liberty's sake.

What’s causing panic disorder?
Venezuelans flood our border
Their country we rebuked
So here they’ve regrouped
Without a legal court order

Authors Note: Actions have consequences and sanctions that punish countries South of the border have led to increasing illegal immigration. For the first time ever, Venezuelans became largest nationality for illegal border crossings in September, 2023. In an attempt to address the root cause, we're now negotiating with Hugo Chavez. That lead to a prisoner swap and might make sense in the long run.

Hit Squad '23

Hit 'em up! Hit 'em up!
Up, out and away

Singles, doubles, triples
and of course, the Big Bombay!

Snitker stoically managing from
the dugout
Ron Washington on third and Eric
Young, Sr. on first helping runners out

Strider, Morton, Elder, and Fried leading
the way
Chavez, Minter, Mchugh, and Iglesias closing
the day

D'Arnaud and Murphy guiding and protecting
home plate
When it's their chance in the batter box good
hitting they aptly demonstrate

Acuna Jr., Albies, Arcia and Harris II
applying the spark
Olson, Rosario, Ozuna, and Riley bomb blasting
making the park go dark

Hit 'em up! Hit 'em up!
Up, out and away

Braves win!
Hip Hip Hooray!

Pouring Ink For Andrew

A memorial poetry today February 6th, 2018 to remember our loved one - late Andrew Chavez.

POURING INK FOR ANDREW ©
Imagine if we're given one moment
Just a single slice of the past
We'd hold it down amid the tornadoes & hurricanes
And the moment would always last,
The moment Laura bore thee,
The moment she cried for thee,
Forced out of the cookie, ready,
Ready for the world, letting out thy first cry,
The doctors smiled, Laura smiled,
We, the world, smiled,
Growing up, you smiled
And then life goes on
But life couldn't contain thee anymore
So you creep away from us till this day
Quietly lying in rows beneath earth's sky
In a peaceful place of many deep memoirs
Where the living dead walk in solemn rows
Momma grope to see you one day, who knows
Now look at thy face frozen in blissful external sleep
Laura still loves you straight from the deep
With a tearful glance as you're taken away as sheep
Today we reminisce...pouring ink in remembrance of you
And rain upon your grave tears, smiles & memoirs
Hope to meet you one day at The Golden Gate.
Sleep on, Andrew.

I Wish Cesar Chavez Was Here

I wish Cesar was here
now
Someone who know how important
farm workers are, giving them a strong
voice,
You got to see this empire
and how it has exploited all the life
that built it,
And all the money spent to fight needless
wars,
And all the reasons why the rich invest
all their money in stocks and bonds,
And maybe try working in the fields
just for a day
And they grow wild flowers and
when the honey bees come in
they sing aleluya
just because they are wild

I just wish you trouble yourself
to know, that they know
that they are no different
that you

Aleluya Aleluya Aleluya
tell me about math
tell me about
all this life in the universe
I just wish
you cared enough to
worry about thee
Like Cesar, and John Steinbeck
did.
Is that even possible
Trust me when I tell you this
Aleluya yes it is.

Peace!

Premium Member A Tale of Two Countries

There once was a wonderful magic land
Known for sugar cane, Havana and sand
   Then a communist came
   Fidel Castro his name
Freedom, the good life, democracy -- banned

Now comes an even gorier story
On wings of socialist oratory
   'Maduro-Chavez'
   Became the new Prez
Corruption, starvation -- purgatory
