Premium Member Cerebral Arachnid Inspiration

What's that I hear -
could it be a spider in my ear?
To some, it might inspire fear,
but that response is too severe -
he'll soon disappear,

crawling into my waiting brain,
if only to escape the rain.
I'm glad I left him alive, unslain,
as he inspired this poem, insane.
Spider - come visiting again.

Premium Member An Ode to My Cerebral Cortex

My cerebral cortex -
indeed, you are the vortex,
processing my senses,
the place where joy condenses.
It's to you I owe
every pretty sky,
each note that makes me sigh,
and grandma's apple pie.
Please don't ever go.

Cerebral virus,
monsters eat holes in your head.
We thought it was ‘Them’.

A Wanderlust Cerebral

A Wanderlust Cerebral
A circuit 'round a star

Home of the "Ever Homeless"
Whom else could care to own less

A course that's never ended
of spirit-bliss unbarred

CEREBRAL WILDERNESS

Though each mind is a jungle of thoughts,
It’s a sanctuary where ideas are sought.

Fertile tender brains go haywire,
With negative creativity the media conspires.

Navigating today’s youth is a terrain to conquer,
Rampant malicious acts uncover the dysfunctionality that prospers.

Stevie, Earth Angel

You were born blind
Eyes that could not see the beauty
Of your own sweet smile
Yet you saw beauty
in the people who loved you
 and discerned every intention.

You were born with Cerebral Palsy
You could not speak a word
Could not convey
 the kindnesses you thought
Yet you spoke love and trust so loudly
to those who took time to hear you.
The nonsense sounds and utterings
Became sweet music
your family understood.
"I do too Ceeka"
"I love you too Stevie."

Your fragile body, withered and broken,
 was unable to move freely...
unable to walk or dance
to the music you held so dear.

Yet in my dreams
 you walk to me,
You dance to
majestic angel songs.

I am blessed to have known
your innocent soul...
but heaven is where
you have always belonged.

Seems our love is destined to be
Exclusively a cerebral affair
A long distance love but oh so deep
Sweet words of affection we share

It's almost enough, who am I kidding
It will never ever take the place
Of feeling your body touching mine
Or caressing your gorgeous face

No one and I mean not a single soul
Has ever made me feel this way
My morning sun, my stars each night
My reason for rising each day

At the risk of repeating over and over
The same old words of adoration
Came up with a totally new way, my love
I'll call it "cerebral exultation"

Seems our love is destined to survive
Only a sweet cerebral love affair
A long distance love but oh so damn deep
These words of affection we share

Premium Member Cerebral Cravings

Too much temptation
Blocking my road to redemption
The devil is good at what he does
Offering a variety of ways
To get your buzz
be it the vein or the liver
satan is one generous giver
the poison he does deliver
of daily drops
for your cerebral mops
he never misses a beat or a hook
He is the chief cook
to bring your fix
and keep you in the mix
of your tasty addictive licks
Yum yum
why so glum chum?
So what if your a bum
I’m still gonna give you some
just enough to keep you hungry and weak
I’m cooking up more misery
As we speak
anticipation for the meek
lick your lips
and lets meet
have a seat
and spread an orifice
I know it’s the fog you miss
Blind, unaware, and without a care
My favorite minion without a pair
Keep sucking the sewage
Of my daily spewage
Till your heart submits
and finally quits
and rests in my pits
of the soulless
and mindless twits
who never had a chance
simply because it was failure
they always wanted to romance
I love you to pumpkin
now submit and get in
I win…..

Common causes of death can be diagnosed,
like a heart attack or a cerebral stroke.
What about those other folks?
Those people who pass with out biology.
Might theirs be connected to astrology?
Was their demise rooted in mythology?
The coroners puzzled, it's plain to see.
The death certificate states naturally.
Could it have been too much poetry?
Please bring a shovel to their tomb.
I'll meet you there at high noon.
Their words will joyfully exhume
and fill the air with their perfume..

Can'T Stop Thinking

My brain is on constant overdrive
and it won't leave me alone.
Thinking, thinking, thinking
about random bull every second of the day.
Like whether I can weather the weather...
How exactly will I die?
Don't get me started about late night,
  wide-eyed, crooked arm behind-the-head, ceiling-staring
  thinking myself in circles.
  Probably why my thoughts have little to no point;
it's even worse when I'm stoned.
Oil is produced from dinosaur bones
and gelatin is made from animal bones.
So can my niece power her school bus with her packed lunch?
I think about past mistakes,
but what use is thinking about them if I can't change a thing?
Sleep overtakes me as I think about what thinking means...

Enigma

ENIGMA

we are an enigma we change every day
with skill and speed beyond space and time
constantly moving that is our way
we are ethereal and sublime

we have no shape we have no color
we are all colors but nothing is shown
we have an aura unlike any other
we are everything but nothing is known

look through the dark glass intently
where rounds are cubes and squares are spheres
focus on the vast darkness directly
but you won't see us we're no longer there

the universe is seeking revenge so it seems
the seers in the heavens no doubt
the ancients foresaw this all in their dreams
everything has been turned inside out

light and shadows play tricks on us all
look left and right then up and down
be careful that you don't stumble and fall
the earth has swallowed up all of the ground

Cerebral Peace

STOP!!!!
The person at this address has moved

He went to find his mind
it left a while ago

For a year he's been fumbling around
aimlessly without a brain

bumping into walls and stubbing his toe
walking blindly through cities with nowhere to go

Now he's left,
in search of cerebral peace

I'll let you know if he finds it.

Cerebral Palsy

 Beautiful people with scars
Scars that stay, Scars that fade, Scars that scare
Delay as they develop, Develop as they delay
Stars hidden in clouds, rays shinning by faith

Wonderful beauties unveiled
Might sit, might not, might delay
Might walk, might not, might delay
Might see, might not, might delay

Virtuous full of valor
Seeming stiffy, looking floppy
Weak arms, weak legs, clumsy movements
fidgety motions, jerky styles

Carriers of greatness
Uncontrolled movements, Scary seizures
Walking on tip-toes, riding in wheels
Waiting on cells, training muscles

Victorious people
Struggling to Swallow, difficult to Speak
Hard to see, difficult in Learning
Pitied by many, helped by few

Faith heals, hope transforms
Love cheers, Care advances
Beautiful people, strong individuals
Celebral Palsy is no disability

A Man With Cerebral Palsy

This wheelchair
I can't stand to ride
I’m not that naïve
I’m just out to find
The better part of me
I’m more than a burden
I’m more than a strain
More than some smiling face
Smiling at you so plain
And it is not easy to be me
Wish that I could cry
Fall upon my knees
Find a way to lie
About a home
I never see
It may sound absurd
But don’t be naïve
Even with cerebral palsy
I have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed
But once you can see
Even with cerebral palsy
I have a right to dream
And it is not easy to be me
Don’t run away from me
Well it’s all right
You can all sleep sound tonight
I’m not crazy or anything
I can stand to ride
I’m not that naïve
Men were not meant
To ride with ground
Between their knees
I’m only a man
Don’t be silly
To perceive me a kid
Taken for granted
On ignorance’s
One way street
Only a man
With a wife and three kids
Looking for smashing things
Inside of me
I’m only a man
With cerebral palsy
I’m only a man
Looking for a dream
I’m only a man
Being honest on this sheet
And it is not easy to be me…
