A part of me wants to be
With my family to take care-
Of them and lead the responsibilities-
Which needs to be fulfilled.
A part of me wants to be
In solitude to catch up with-
My goals and have an identity of my own-
Without care about today’s society.

Look at the way they cheer
The way they rant and geer
All that desire to learn and
they leared
I see a chance to venture on
paths unknown to me
I feel it's my plight in life
to seize a moment i need to be
For only a moment i might feel
the light of glee
Edited my life story it seems
less in reality
and more in my dreams
Vintage in thoughts
Reemed with rot
I am though i aught
to care or to not
Dwindle in my capacity
i ask of thee to flee
from mental gratuity
And hope the majority
can catch up with the moral reality

Museums
A place full of stories
Of art
Not just in the paintings
But in the people too
A little black girl walking hand in hand with her mother
Her eyes lit up in wonder
Wandering what she would discover
While she walks around
Spinning around
And jumping up and down
She doesn't see
That everytime she jumps the light reflecting on her beautiful brown skin makes it glimmer
Like little flecks of gold placed exactly
Like when the sun reflects a river
She doesn't see
The way her beaded braids move
Eagerly trying to catch up with her
Dancing in excitement
Enjoying this moment
Wishing she could forever stay this innocent
She shines like a diamond
She doesn't see
Her warm chocolate eyes
The way the brown melts peoples hearts
Her eyes alone could be artwork
An artwork that could instill innocence in every person It meets
Her eyes A superpower
That could bring people together
Just before she leaves
She looks at a final art piece
And for the first time she sees -
"Mommy it's me"
It was called the art of the reflection in the mirror
And when she looked in it she felt prettier

STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE AND TRYING TO PLAY CATCH-UP WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE MISSED.
AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE, I HAVE LIVED AND EXPERIENCED MORE THAN WHAT A NORMAL PERSON GOES THROUGH IN THEIR WHOLE LIFE.
I FEEL I HAVE MORE LIVES THAN A CAT, ON ABOUT MY 6TH LIFE RIGHT NOW.

Some witches want to rumble
But they forget I believe the Bible
There are so many fights
Jealousy is alive but
I survive because of the Blood of Jesus!
I am coming as a Kingdom Citizen
The witches are citizens of darkness
Brokenness taught me never to fear a fool
Being cruel will catch up with you
The Word becomes fuel as
I unleash my ambitions as a teacher
Some witches want to rumble
But they forget I believe the Bible
I am fulfilling my ambitions
Because of the Blood of Jesus!

My mission is to make you see out loud
And understand, my means are to open your mind's eye
I must reach you to teach you the nature at hand
Every cup that's filled, it's a must that you sip
And if the rules ain't bent don't bend them
I just want you to keep ya nose clean
Life is a bumpy road, and it's not always what it seems
Just keep your head up and stack ya bread
Do not stop, by any means. Get that cream
And most of all...

The Peace we like may not be the childhood we had been
wasting.
My a drawing I used to leave dirty and torn or very exposed
to the sometimes dust or something how lot nights
before.
O my money I could not help let catch up with the day
even the last century children day.
I remember when the stars are clear tonight I just unmind
and leave things anyway.
I remember the fear I had for the monsters and sometimes
instead cat most.
I remember sometimes the school we wished and cried
together.
O sometimes like a blue and black about?.

Sitting by the black window staring outside, watching people go by.
Looking at the birds flying free and careless in the clouded sky.
Rain falling slowly, hitting the window with a whispering sound and I ask myself: 'Why?'
Like the raindrops falling slowly from the sky, teardrops start falling slowly from my eyes.
All those years lost as I was running to catch up with time, carrying my bleeding heart as I again tried.
Frustration, anger, sadness running through my veins as the last remaining feelings of love, compassion, affection die.
As I turn to see my face in the mirror, sad eyes turning cold as ice.
Numbness in my soul as the rain fades away sky-high...

When last did you hear the silence?
By Michelle Morris

When last did you hear the Silence?
When last did you hear the Angels sing?
Have you forgotten all your Soul's memories?
That you're meant to bring forth to Earth?
Silence is its own melody
It allows your being to breathe
To catch up with itself and its rhythms
Like the gentleness of a sea breeze
Where that salty air removes all the cobwebs
From your mind and heart and soul
And the air's healing clears negativity
And makes you feel alive and whole
Why don't you give it a try?
Get away from the madness of the World
Find solace and new meaning
By connecting to the Source of all
For each of us is a string
Upon the Universe's chords
And only in the Silence
Can our true magic be heard

Don't drag me into the tactical
scheming games you play,
for I do not want involvement
not in any little way.
Try if you dare, and you will see
there's no way to get one over on me,
as I will not entertain or rise to the bait;
karma will catch up with you to decide your fate.
While I carry on not caring one bit what you do,
distancing myself from malicious people like you.

Accustomed to be the sunshine of the sun,
Attuned to catch up with all the fun,
Worn myself, all to gain love from trust,
While may this be true, it all is just nothing,
A piece of paper driven through handwriting
Is just a paper ash when let fire light it
Oh, I’m past all the tests,
I’m to perform and shine,
This may be true if
I wasn’t just a design,
Oh, never have I ever really aced,
Once by chance, never by fate
Little too young to understand
Truth’s alive that I slept through my life’s past,
In nights, there were wolves and haunting fears I’d have
With a ghostly sound, demons around, scary crowd
And silence pacing, trading, phasing in and out
As if I was meant for the longing out of dearth for a crown
Oh, I’m told, only
I shall do things perfectly,
Oh, not for me, only
For the ones I love fondly
Truth’s spirit lies in doubts over insecurity,
Anxious actions going tick, tick, tick…
With judging reactions burning my wick, wick, wick…
Trying was I to feel good for my life, life, life…
For my voice, body, soul, euphonic mind
Filled in with unforeseen rhymes, rhymes, rhymes.

Since I walked back home every day from school,
my mother had made for me the golden rule:
in the rainy season an umbrella in my bag
I must carry though it might make it sag.
It started to rain after school one day,
I was under my umbrella, and on my way
home, walking in the road, deserted and wet,
I saw Julie stride in the rain, drenched and upset.
Before she could go out of my reach very far,
in a fast pace I walked to catch up with her.
I gave her the umbrella to hold over us,
which she tried to do with no fuss.
One corner of the umbrella the wind tore,
one half of me was receiving the downpour.
Soaked to the bone, I was happy none-the-less,
for I was of some help to the little damsel in distress.

today we teachers got out at three
I jumped for joy
Because we usually get out at four-thirty-five
When the worst craziest drivers think they are contenders
for the Indianapolis 500
Days I have to hang on to my steering wheel
With stiff fingers
Clenching my teeth
Swearing a stream of mean words
Terrified some idiot driver will catch up with me

I'm falling too far behind,
Out of breath and flying blind.
Heavy fog, it's hard to see,
But know the flock's in front of me.
Just striving to do my best,
Gotta catch up with the rest
So surprised I've flown this far,
Now up ahead, there they are!
Landing on a Chrystal lake,
Feel my mind and body ache.
Safe ashore and now we're prepping,
For waddling and goose-stepping.

Fading into nothing;
Condition, all soon catch up with.
In spirit, when dying.
