Happiness


The thrill of waking up each day is mine
Greeting the morning light with a big smile.
To listen to the tweeting birds divine
While snug and warm in bed, I’ll stay a while.

But soon arise, get ready for my day
Feel happy that I really have the time.
To do the things I love without delay
Go for a walk, enjoy the bright sunshine.

Catch up with friends for coffee and a chat
We laugh and tell each other what we’ve done.
Our special friendship sharing this or that
They make me happy each and every one.

Yes, waking up each day, is such a joy
And doing what I love is my employ.
