Ode to the Other Self

Though you're oblivious to the outside,
You reside somewhere on the inside.
You're a part of me,
I become a turbulent sea.

You arise from the unknown,
You shoot your arrows,
And I bear the sorrows—
These are not seeds I have sown.

You hide in the stygian night,
You carry out your bidding even while I'm in the light.
I fight the unseen,
They remain invisible on the screen.

I journey across borders and into new territories,
I wander through meadows,
Which fall into various categories.
You sometimes emerge from the shadows.

You're my inky self,
Dwelling in depths beyond the pages of a book on the shelf.
I'm a mirror of the strange—
Through the continuum of time, there hasn't been any change.

Ode to a New Day

You beckon to me, and I respond.
You open the door and take me by the hand.
You guide me as I see, learn, and sometimes comprehend.
You script and unfurl,
And I play my role, desiring to add my lines.

The elements, like soldiers, carry out their duties—
Unseen, but sometimes summoned by the sages.
This is a mystery from ages past;
Sometimes these soldiers are fiery and bold.

You lead me along a path that yesterday never saw and tomorrow longs to know.
I follow where the stream flows,
Keeping hope alive,
Holding the lamp through every struggle.
Though I may not understand all that I see,
I journey across the sea.

It is a privilege to be embraced by you,
And an honour to be held by you.
Though sometimes redemption feels like a tale,
And Zion seems like a lost city.

An Amazing Son

An Amazing Son
I wouldn’t trade you for the world.
I enjoy spending time with ya.
All my belongings will be yours one day.
You will carry out my last name.
I miss you when we're not together.
When I’m gone, I will still be with you forever.
 You're growing up too fast.
 Together we have a blast.
You're always eating all my food.
 Never run out of nachos.
 You're an amazing kid.
One day you will be a grown man.
I’m always here when you need me.
Wecould hang out and watch T.V.
 You have a great imagination.
 You are my son.
One day, you can read all of my writings.
Wecan go out for some chicken wings.
 You always make me laugh.
All the girls will be chasing after ya.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
You can be whoever you want to be.

Noble Profession

Each person has his own teacher and mentor
By their example, they inspire us to go through life
Attain and arrive to our peaks with dignity
To achieve success in everything we do
I want to express my sincere gratitude
To mentors and teachers for our knowledge
Teacher, mentor is a vocation
A destiny from God, a calling of the soul
Only the strong at heart
Can carry out this noble mission.

Two wood pigeons on the hedge
Two thrushes fly low
Over the uncut lawn
Unfamiliar voices behind the door
Then the door opens
Two men carry out packed cardboard boxes
In a few minutes the loading is finished
A man's voice speaks on the phone from the garden
I turn away, looking towards the road
A car door slams behind me
I close my eyes, while the car hisses by
What a relief: they finally drove away.
I lean against the fence
The birds singing in the neighbouring garden
I suddenly breakdown:
Goodbye, goodbye...
I'm afraid to say more
Though no one is listening
The house is empty
Who’d have thought it would become
The past archive, so soon?
One last look at the garden?
I don't believe they cared.
They've got plenty of pictures
With her blooming garden, so that'll do.
They don’t know
I have her comments on every photo
A gallery of roses, cacti, pansies, petunias
Her olive tree, and blue hyacinths
She said they were blooming already
On the 5th of March, one day before our time stopped
And another time entered
I don’t have to count it, do I
We don’t live there.

Premium MemberRoutine

Life is full of daily routine
just things we do each day
they can get pretty boring
but they are required come what may

We have a set of things to do
that needs discipline to carry out
but other situations cross our path
needing our attention to what's about

But even when the days is just ordinary
humdrum as we call it here
there's a purpose for everything
so keep prodding on and never fear

Sometimes in the routine of life
extraordinary reveals itself so clear
then you think where did it come from
keep alert to your listening ear

There's a picture here by routine
that opens your eyes to see
in life before death look ahead
it may be what will set you free

I have everything

I HAVE EVERY THING.
I have a family,
The only member in it was me.
I have a partner in crime,
We both steal some time.
To beat the cancer and disease.
I have a partner in music,
We both played by the ears.
He played drum, guitar, then ukelele.
I played guitar, harmonica, then keyboard.
We read no music notes.
We both played piano.
I have a long lost dear friend,
I do not know how to make amend.
I have acquaintances,
We carry out the same performances.
I have a lover,
Who tried to be clever than me unnecessary.
I have a confession to make,
I still help you in secret ways.
I have an idea,
You turn all my theories into practices.
I have a dream,
A book full of my poems' stream.
I have an enemy,
That was me and me only.
I have last words to say,
I left you but my feelings continued to stay.
I have a dying wish,
I can compose one piece of music
Using my personal music language.
I have a secret,
Ssshhh!!!, I am not telling.
I have everything
Nothing is plenty enough for me.
Winter comes and it freezes.
It will leave and come back another year.
But the cancer and the incurable disease,
May come back and end our lives any time.

They Walk Warmly Together

God looks at Death, and it nods,
It knows that it’s time for them to walk together,
They journey across the sunlit fields,
And through the meadows of night.

There’s an onus for God and a call for Death,
Time moves ahead of them,
And the bell chimes wherever it stops,
Signalling a mission to fulfil.

God halts the midnight train,
While Death summons souls to embark,
They are taken to the beyond,
Separated at the celestial station.

God observes the soul’s chamber,
And he shakes his head,
Death wishes to carry out its duty,
But God holds it back,
He says there are still more mysteries for the soul to unravel.

God walks alongside Death dedicated,
Though there is a summoning,
There is also attentive listening and an incomprehensible consideration,
Death is the fragile, insatiable stranger,
While God is the boundless being that gazes deep into the chamber,
Two dissimilar entities that walk together.

Affaire d'honneur

Is this music made of magic?
Or does it vent its violence
fired by fury, fuelled by force?
Does music trip Milton’s light fantastic
with nimble heartedness -
or fight with furore, feast on frenzy?

It can be a disease, fanatical,
as these hands, these fingers,
these tips, these nails
perform, carry out their execution.
I wonder with fixed eyes as I take that punch,
or deliver one in this duel we did not choose.

I read sadness in your eyes,
It is a sadness written with new words,
By the writer of love dramas,
Who wants us to die at the end of the book.

I am the actor who listens
And knows how to carry out his role,
And you, the heroine actress,
Whom many like and admire.

I’m just a sentimental man,
Slightly graying, somewhat banal,
And you, the princess from another time
Now more refined and elegant.

We play our roles to the end,
Worried about only one fact:
If in the final act
We'll still be together.

Leone's Special

Cacophony of liquored lips
             would underscore the room
That cafe bar that I recall
                     an adolescent’s doom

Yet not of age to then partake
                          of alcohol’s delight
For pizza, I remember well
                   indulgence of the night

My friend and I would wait inside
                         for carry-out to go
We’d sneak a look at follied fun
at things we’d come to know

And while we sat as patient boys
                     piano banged the eve
A white haired gal of eighty three
             would play until we’d leave

She’d ragtime with a mighty blow
                her keyboard full of cheer
We’d see her timely reach around
to grab her stein of beer

Then off with pizza undertow
                       Leone’s special taste
To watch the TV “Monster Fest”
with not a bite to waste

l ron hubbard, aimed amiss at Coronado islands.soon captain no longer, relieved of command' Also Husband E Kimmel
For Pearl. Had to carry the can! From fiasco to disaster.'
Either didn't really plan' one trained 'guns willy nilly'
The other got caught' with terrible life tolls' all ships trapped
In port! So retribution was given (under maritime law) as I
Understand things? Anything else would be poor.' So what
Of the actions.? Of commanders in chief.? Should they
Endanger their charges, and their country in breif' can there be
No reprecussions? No treasonous charge? In my estimation i find (such a proposition) too hard' to hard for
Comprehension 'specially should there be willfull intent' in
Knowing of disaster yet never to relent.! I have heard so
Much of the gravitas of Admiralty law! Part of the base of
The governance for co-hesion and so much more.' If you're
Prime minister or even President grand' can you carry out crime withought compunction
Let treason be planned.? denigrate your own citizens? And
Care not one bit.' Cause murder and destruction yet think
You will not pay; not one whit..!

I Want You

I want you to be
My forever person.

I want us to grow old,
And smelly together.

I want us to be in wrinkle skin,
But young in the eyes.

I want us to hold hands,
And stumble through our years.

I want you to be there,
Even when I leave.

I want us to carry out love,
Until we meet again.

State Of The Union

Let’s have an election
Mr Putin bravely said
Sadly any opponents
Seem to end up dead.
I want a democracy
Yet I’m accused of lying
But how can I help it if
Opponents keep on dying.

Over in Israel Mr Netanyahu
Seems to take full pride
As his sanctioned terrorists
Carry out their genocide.
They seem rather unwilling
To look at facts and learn
From that known old adage
A trod on worm will turn.

Over in America it appears
Democracy will take a thump
As masses mass to support
The apparently senile Trump.
The Champion of the West
Coming under world fire
For falling under the spell
Of a convicted fraud and liar

Our local ruling hypocrites
Intend to raise their pay
As the necessity for food banks
Increases each passing day.
Sunak boasts thing are improving
But doesn’t seem to understand
His was the party in power
That brought chaos to this land.

Over the world people starve
As world temperature rise
Essential polar ice caps
Inexorably decrease in size.
Nobody really much cares
About the catastrophe ahead
Why worry about events due
Long after they’ll be dead.

Premium Member Ocean Waves

Waves of the ocean are the music of the sea,
They hum and rumble in a perfect harmony.

Songs of the tides they compose, produced by the moon,
By using the wind to putter a rhythmic tune.

Dances of the loops, spins and leaps they carry out,
And blustery plays of thrills and chills they act out.

Blazing art they construct, on the ocean surface,
With strokes of sapphire and amber in countless shades.

Figures of foamy mountains they chisel and sculpt,
And embellish the beach with seashells and pebbles.

Ocean waves are the echoes of eternity,
And perfect models of implacable beauty.
