Heel To Foot
i always walked a sidewalk on my way back from the park,
and i always approached heel to foot,
because that’s what my dad taught me that tuesday night
i count my steps,
and inhale the smell of weed,
but most importantly, leap over the crack in the cement
but i’d callus my feet because we couldn't afford shoes.
the jumps

Ylenia Callus
My clever friend Ylenia Callus,
With sensitive instincts never on the loose,
With words throwing hearts, hugs warming my spine,
Delicate soul so graceful and divine.
My clever friend Ylenia Callus,
A gift of life and a woman of truce
A perfect image of what’s right and wrong
I adore how your strong will plays along
My clever friend Ylenia Callus,
Your striking energy

For Paul Callus
FOR PAUL CALLUS
Paul, this short poem is for you alone,
Wish you lived closer,
I’d tell you on the phone,
You have been the cornerstone of
Poetry for me,
A tutor in a way,
An incredibly honest person
Who writes talented poems
You write brilliantly, and you are clever,
Whether Historical, romantic, serious or funny,
Before I answer some of your poems
I definitely

Dedicated To Paul Callus
Dedicated to Paul Callus
In his dream did appear her soul he adored,
Which he wished and wanted to be restored;
Hear her sing;
Back bring;
Now has been in heaven in hands of his Lord.

Senility's Tightrope Co-Write With Paul Callus
She sits in silence at the end of day
Beside the fire that barely warms the air
Her mind in anguish, threads that tend to fray
Companionless, within a room austere.
Like a carousel swirling around me
Are faces, places, traces of my life
These disjointed images confound me
Recollections sliced by a jagged knife.
The curtains drawn; the door chains are in

A Senryu - Tanka - Dedicated To Paul Callus
dedicated to Paul Callus
it never will be enough
my mere sorry
a village pump
quenched many thirsty children
hot summertime days
water pumped from mother earth
Paul Callus still remembers

Thank You Fj, Ww and Paul Callus
It is in giving to others that we find peace of mind,
the ability to trust our instincts without severe hesitation-
For we are all just free will and kindness combined,
and we’ve all been bound by the blessing of creation.
My car broke down last year without the means to pay for it,
my husband and

A Lover's Lament- Collaboration With Paul Callus
A Lover’s Lament
(Paul Callus & Redfiery ( smriti Jha) ~ 2017)
A LOVER'S Lament
Summer took its toll,
Dried up the waters of our love.
We found ourselves stranded
On the arid river bed
Dreaming of encroaching clouds.
We thirsted for the promise of rain
And love’s reincarnation.
Rough winds carried away all hopes
Storm took away what we had
We pined for

Australia's Good Fire: Thanx Jesse Zerlaut, Paul Callus
Holy fire come
I surrender all
Thy Kingdom Come
we gather one and all
Here Down Under
On your hills and beaches
Holy Fire roar
Holy Spirit teach us
Glory to the One
Who gathered all the nations
Where can we run
For true salvation
Here Down Under
God is moving strong
Spirit-led prayer
In Australia leads us Home
Singing out to God
Who sent us His Only Begotten Son
Now, too, His

Children of War and Peace - Written With Paul Callus
Washed and smartly dressed in school uniform
Judy tucks into her healthy breakfast
while watching cartoons on television.
Her mother smiles. Outside the sun shines bright.
Rami wakes to sounds of jets overhead.
He pulls his worn blanket tight to his chest
afraid to look

Pork Pies - a Poem For Paul Callus
We were going to visit Malta so Paul and I hatched a little plan
I’d bring pork pies over (his grand daughter Valentina is a fan)
Paul would meet us at the airport with his family
Valentina would be able to have pork pie for her tea!
I packed the pork pies in a cold pack and placed them

For Paul Callus
His poetic voice rides across the sea
I could swear that Paul is speaking to me
With rhythm in his words, peace in his heart
I find Paul and I are not far apart
Collaboration takes little effort
Conflicts in tone we easily avert
In Malta he writes by soft candlelight
When I’m still blessed by generous daylight
Paul takes me to depths

I Gently Sigh - a Collaboration With Paul Callus
~I gently Sigh ~
With half-closed eyes I lie supine,
relishing the feel of soft green grass
against my cool warm skin;
the wind comes whispering
through the rustling swaying corn
caressing my body with arousing touch.
I yield...to his subtle sensual words...
he reads my thoughts...he knows me well;
I yield...as my nimble fingers stray

Mirrored Thoughts -A Collaboration With Paul Callus
In another time and age
we could have written a new page
crossing paths on land or sea
brushing cheeks with destiny.
With youthful zest and joy
our ardent quills employ
to mix your ink with mine
with passion so divine
and then the words would flow
to set each heart aglow.
If our souls
