Notes About The Poem

I first write with PAUL CALLUS. He is one among the best poets and my friends here.. :)

I shall never forget how it all began to us.. :) LOVER AND FRIEND was our first poem together. We cram for some hours to enter it on a contest with a form we both aren't familiar with Rondeau Redouble. Our entry ended Honourable Mention for the first contest we enter it but I wasn't satisfied for I know it's more than that... :)

He is among my critics: a good one. We share some views and opinions in a very diplomatic and friendly way. I treasure the friendship that bloomed with the lines. I am so touched by him that I made some poems with the our friendship in my mind. though at times I consider him a big brother. teacher, too.. :)!

Chariot of Fire - a Collab With P Callus

CHARIOT OF FIRE I stand in silence and behold the sight, staring in wonder, waiting for thunder. A chariot of fire travels through the night. The white-winged horses gallop in full flight pulling at the reins; flowing are their manes I stand in silence and behold the sight. Where are they going? There’s a shining light leading all the way, so they will not stray. A chariot of fire travels through the night amidst the heaven where in pure delight resides the Master, the sweetest lover, I stand in silence and behold the sight; Blessings whisked to amble slowly with plight; heartbeats race to sway, courage on display. A chariot of fire travels through the night armoured by God’s spirit. They ride like knights fearless from pain; victory, their peak gain. I stand in silence and behold the sight; a chariot of fire travels through the night. ©O.E.Guillermo and P.Callus Written last 5:07 pm, November 17, 2014

Hi Olive_eloi! I came back for another look and noticed the Poet's Notes at the top. Thank you for the lovely comments you pass about me. You know what I think of you, and when I act as a teacher I am never too hard on you:) I am honoured that you look at me as a big brother (not Orwellian); you know I'm always there when the need arises:)) hugs // paul

Paul! PAul! PAuuuuul, what I can say for this second write we have, at first I really don't how I'll do this regarding the theme of course not with the form as I done it before.. :) the more I was challenged when you incorporated internal rhymes and the syllable count.. :) But thanks for choosing this topic. :) I like the story behind this title both on real life as in one movie with same title and the story in the BIble.. I like the message.. :) No whippings this time like our first poem! :D!

hahahahha Paul... :D! well. I told you yesterday.. :D! well, you know me well I can't say NO to a challenge if it I was jailed by interest.. :) And the title you chose immediately caught me.. :) And the more I read on it's background the more I am inspired.. :)! no worries for the added challenge :D! I know there are no internal rhymes but well, we did it with a twist which makes it more! :D hahahahahha :D! hugs too, OLive ELoisa.. :D a

Dear Olive_eloi!:) I just heard you calling and came in haste before night turns to day! I know I was hard on you; a Villanelle does not require internal rhyme, but I thought that would make it more challenging (one line in each stanza). Still, you stood your ground and did not run away! No whips this time:)) Writing with you has been fun...could not be otherwise!!:) hugs // paul
