I am gathering up my broken hearts,

The scattered pieces, the torn-apart.

I gave them away with an open hand,

To those who could never understand.

I thought they were treasures, precious and true,

But they were just moments that quickly withdrew,

Swept to the side at the end of the day,

Left to ruin, thrown away.

But the hands that gave them can bring them home,

No longer left in the cold alone.

I’m picking them up from where they fell,

With stories only the scars can tell—

Of a heart reclaimed, of a spirit grown,

Never again to be carelessly thrown.

They are mine to keep, they are mine to mend,

Where the ruin stops, and the healing begins.

High winds driving palm leaves to the right,
pointing at broken hearts. A mother here…
a child, dear…a long hospital stay…tears.
Can it even rain on such days? Dark clouds,
dreary-gray, loathsome black - the words
are the same - “Seems strange, a dream,
can’t be, my heart is broken beyond repair.”

I pray for the forest through the trees, a glimpse
of eternity for such deep, dense, suffering.
I pray that God comforts my friends and their kin
in the peace that passes all understanding.

Lifted by those, who for a time, are above the fray,
we each sludge through the muck of life,
when curtains are drawn, and doors
are decked with wreaths of despair.

I pray and find hope. I pray, in this moment,
when I am the strong one. I wrap my arms
around my friends though they are far away.
Such tears. Such heartbreak! Jesus…!

Premium Member Broken Hearts Destroy

A broken heart easily destroys
The very essence of any man
Nothing depletes him any faster
Then what a heartbreak can

It will waste no time stealing
Everything a man has to give
Including his pride and dignity
And even worse his will to live

His friends will grow distant
Not because of his frown
But because they are scared
That he will drag them down

When he has nothing left
And is labeled as a bum
Even his family creates space
Ashamed of what he's become

The one's he thought cared
They no longer come around
He will be lost in his own life
Wishing that he will be found

He's filled with pain and misery
His life becomes a living hell
And nothing he does will help
Him escape heartbreaks spell

Songs of Wababu 3

We love with broken hearts and minds.
Parading around with weak souls.
My heart shines with eagerness of brighter days.

Premium Member In the fractured realm of trust and broken hearts

In the fractured realm of trust and broken hearts,
Love suffers, feeding on enigmas.
She, a fragile constellation with a cracked heart,
Thus, we remain, seeking infinity in corners of dreams.
A ballet of the shadows of trust, waves of unrest,
In the quiet of the cosmos, emotions grow like falling stars.
A mind once a halo, now a troubled vortex,
Love traverses the storm of light and stardust.
Echoes of remorse, deep calls from eternity,
A yearning for healing, time weaving on wings of nothingness.
She, once a goddess of the day, now a fragile enigma,
A love forged by the unknown, without the chains of fate.
The weight of my madness, a hidden colossus of fire,
But among the remaining shards, love roams like a moon's murmuring.
A fool, an alchemist lost in labyrinths, seeking redemption,
In the ruins of faith, hope is born like a golden flame.
In the dark abyss, a splinter of magical light,
To restore trust, the hearts that still whisper.
For in the fracture, love weaves like an astral dream,
A never-ending thread, woven from the cloak of stars and chosen eternity.

Premium Member Seamstress of the Broken Hearts

Seamstress Leland is sewing up all broken hearts.
Helping to heal those sad despondent couples torn apart.
Magic in his fingertips come onto the sewing thread.
When he is finished, the heart is glowing a pretty red.

But does it work? The naysayer asks Leland in a weird way.
He replies, “If it didn’t, why would I waste my time all day?”
This makes sense to me. I admire his devotion and dedication.
He heals so many, purifying their hearts in pure edification.

Though the years may pass
And the times may fly,
We’ve said hello,
Now here’s goodbye.

Premium Member The Queen of Broken Hearts

Trapped within these walls of stone,
A prisoner of my own making.
Captured by a hollow heart,
A fortress for the taking.

Swordless on a fragile throne,
I'm a King without a crown.
Haunted here at castle's keep,
By a Queen who'd bring it down.

Skin of white with blackened soul,
A Sorceress in disguise.
Sin behind a wicked grin,
Is reflected in her eyes.

Toying with my emotions,
A game she loves so much.
A game I'm sure to lose,
Just a victim of her touch.

Casting spells I know so well,
Powerless to her magic.
Tortured in this dungeon deep,
My life is turning tragic.

Shackled in chains of lust,
I'm bound by this decree.
The Queen of Broken Hearts,
Will be the death of me.

A Letter To Broken Hearts

I write unto you hearts that yearn
Yearn for pure love that's rare to find
Don't frate cause there's a time for everyone
And it's the rarest of love that takes time to find

I know your hearts are unconsolable
I know you beyond hurt, you empty
That's why you long for someone that understands
It can be hard but don't give up, we all need love

That's why no matter the number of failed attempts
Or the endless list of rejection
You still give yourself a chance
Hoping to feel and be alive, cause just how the heart is

I write unto you hearts that are learning
Learning that it takes effort to love
And it takes will to stay in love
For it's not easy to make two people want something

I know that you'll heal from the pain
I know you'll heal from who hurt you
But you should also heal of you
Cause you've taken the blame long enough

Go out today and start a new chapter
Meet new people and start a conversation
Your love awaits in the many faces around
You just need to follow your guts more, your heart has had enough

The PO£T

Where Do Broken Hearts Go

Where do they go with broken hearts
For the ones whose life now departs
Do they look for comfort from inside
Or look to ones with whom they can abide

These arms that wrap around them
Steel themselves for the end
And when they finally go away
We beg and plead for them to stay

Take heart for they can remain
In your memories now sustained
To look for them as years go by
Again to meet and embrace on high.

Broken Hearts Can Be Mended

Broken hearts can be mended
By Michelle Morris
16/10/2020

Broken hearts can be mended
Shattered pieces to love surrenders
Happiness in time embraced
No more loneliness engaged

Broken hearts can be mended
Soft words and gestures friendly
People generous and kind
Frees hurts from souls left behind

Broken hearts can be mended
Hugs and kisses shower heaven
No more emptiness within
When love eternal gives us wings

Premium Member Some Broken Hearts Never Mend

Broken hearts turn into crimson roses
Meant to be held as prized artefacts
Even if they shall never mend
For hearts are as brittle as window panes
And none has ever been able to glue
A broken pane back together

Yet,
Broken hearts also turn into flying spirits
And allow themselves to be blown
Across the lands and over the oceans
If they allow not the closed minded ones
To keep them as captive roses in well secured
Gardens or in colourful vases!

But it happens that broken hearts
Meet with the one powerful enough
To create, in their midst,
Acceptance and thereby setting the ground
For healing to happen!
These blessed ones tend those hearts
As fervently as the devoted would pray everyday
Or as determinedly as lovers would fight for their beloveds!

Broken hearts then turn into magical elements
Being that which others want them to be:
Either a rainbow for some,
Or a unicorn for others,
Regardless,
As long as they would ignite sparkles
In the eyes of those who would cross their paths,
For,
Their motto would solely be:
To hold out a healing hand!

Fall In Love

Fall in love with the person who sets you free.
The one who doesn't dictate what a society or you should be.
The one who is not afraid to fight beside you to keep you soul intact.
The one who uses anything they can to wake up your soul when your mind has easily become distant and has distract.
They may sound a little crazy at times, but that is the key.
For they were not meant to sound like everyone else, who could speak and also read.
Feel your way through the pain and wake up your soul.
So you can come together to be as one and to feel completely whole.
Look at examples of broken hearts and self-inflicted abuse.
For they were not able to look beyond and just kept up with an excuse.
It's okay to cry and to feel the needed pain.
You can be a man, woman, child, just break that wretched chain.
Fall in love with the person who sets you completely free
So you can build a foundation like a 2,000 year old tree.
