Best Broken Hearts Poems

The Broken Hearts

The world is full of broken hearts,
so mine was nothing new,
     and anyone who loves someone
could lose that person too.
I thought I'd found the one for me
the day I danced with you;
     I gave my heart without reserve;
you knew I would be true.
Alas for me, your love was false,
and so I'm feeling blue -
although my broken heart will mend.
This feels like deja vu...

Broken hearts don't always heal
Regrets may break the seal
Opened then crushed
Killed by Loves demands
Erasing all hope
No longer in command

Hearts that are damaged
Eventually will slow
After life's hardships
Repairs start to show
Tossed onto a pile
Such a sad place to go

Attempting a different style. Hope you enjoy.

Broken Hearts Can Be Mended

Broken hearts can be mended
By Michelle Morris
16/10/2020

Broken hearts can be mended
Shattered pieces to love surrenders
Happiness in time embraced
No more loneliness engaged

Broken hearts can be mended
Soft words and gestures friendly
People generous and kind
Frees hurts from souls left behind

Broken hearts can be mended
Hugs and kisses shower heaven
No more emptiness within
When love eternal gives us wings

Where Do Broken Hearts Go

When hearts are broken,
They travel to the land of sadness
By ships of sorrow,
They sail through oceans of tears.
Captained by solitude,
They go through raging storm of unsettledness

Broken hearts go deep,
Into trenches of pain.
Intoxicated by grief,
They tremble in fear

Fading reason,
Catapults them into the field of mayhem.
They suffer pinches from thorns of loneliness
And are made to settle on the throne of solitude

Ask me where broken hearts go,
 And I'll tell you
They go nowhere,
But deep down the drain.

Love Has Found Two Broken Hearts

If we do it carefully
We could be two happily
People who do not look back
At ways we were on a track
Of love destruction, pain and sorrow
Looking at a new tomorrow
Together in each others hugs
No uncertain doubtful shrugs
Wondering this time around
If true love can now be found
Between broken hearts on the mend
Did our wishes finally send
Us to one another so
We can have a love to grow
Into something bigger than
We will ever know again
I feel it, you can too
No thinking anything through
We both know where we belong
In each others life, so strong

Purgatory of Broken Hearts

The darkness here is blinding
In this prison of lost desires
Not even a burning ember
Can rekindle the forsaken fires

A tomb of broken promises
Is my only company
No hope for an escape
No chance to ever be free

Pain and heartache mock me
As I ponder my mistakes
The sound I hear is deafening
From the heart that finally breaks

My thoughts, my only refuge
Of the things that could have been
But grief will soon remind me
Of the love that had to end

Comfort and joy betray me
Tomorrow will never come
Held captive in my anguish
As I am left, feeling numb

My purgatory is the silence
And here I shall remain
Forever to be forgotten
For my captor is my pain

Premium Member In the fractured realm of trust and broken hearts

In the fractured realm of trust and broken hearts,
Love suffers, feeding on enigmas.
She, a fragile constellation with a cracked heart,
Thus, we remain, seeking infinity in corners of dreams.
A ballet of the shadows of trust, waves of unrest,
In the quiet of the cosmos, emotions grow like falling stars.
A mind once a halo, now a troubled vortex,
Love traverses the storm of light and stardust.
Echoes of remorse, deep calls from eternity,
A yearning for healing, time weaving on wings of nothingness.
She, once a goddess of the day, now a fragile enigma,
A love forged by the unknown, without the chains of fate.
The weight of my madness, a hidden colossus of fire,
But among the remaining shards, love roams like a moon's murmuring.
A fool, an alchemist lost in labyrinths, seeking redemption,
In the ruins of faith, hope is born like a golden flame.
In the dark abyss, a splinter of magical light,
To restore trust, the hearts that still whisper.
For in the fracture, love weaves like an astral dream,
A never-ending thread, woven from the cloak of stars and chosen eternity.

Breakfasting with champions
Sound nutrition for a growing girl
Delicious, too.
Damn near perfection.

Cat in my cradle
sharp claws and foreboding meows
prophetically scratching out neural canals
filled with songs of the way it goes.

‘Charm’s a scheme’ – opus in D Major
‘Maturity a bitter disappointment’ – e minor fugue
and ‘The purpose of a human life,
no matter who’s controlling it
is to love whoever’s around
to be loved’ – Symphony in C

Songs to plug in by
Lifted by laughter into the network
of lovers and livers
thinkers and givers
titans and dreamers and friends.

When the overspeed trip triggers
it’s good to know
that the power’s still flowing
ready for next time
of plugging in
and cooking breakfast.

Broken Hearts

Lying in the snow
 the scarlet hearts
 draw their last breath
 discarded by indifferent lovers
 no fluttering cupid
 or velvet box
 tied up with satin ribbons
 breathless love has flown
 far away on the wings
 of the Valentine morning...

How pitiful of me
To carry your heart
In my own
When I know it beats
A somber tone

How credulous of you
To speak to heavens
So lovingly about us
Urging for my return

As footsteps we heard
Walked past each other

And not a hint of love
Exchanged a look

Perhaps it's best
How clueless we are--
Unprepared to mend
Two broken hearts

Premium Member Broken Hearts Lie In Your Wake

Broken hearts lie in your wake
From the conquests that you make
From the promises you fake
Broken hearts lie in your wake

Broken love lies at your feet
You entice with tasty treat
Make impossible retreat
Broken love lies at your feet

Broken needs lie at your door
Faces of those wanting more
Those who thought love was in store
Broken needs lie at your door

Broken dreams lie in your hand
Your love trickled through like sand
Every wish seemed noble, grand
Broken dreams lie in your hand

Forgiveness anoints your head
For parts of you that lie dead
For your twisted heart has bled
Forgiveness anoints your head

Where Broken Hearts Go

Where Broken Hearts Go

Like a mosaic of wilting roses in an untended garden
forsaken by its guardian angel and heaven above
a broken heart on its way home wanders through
a maze of silver-lined clouds at mystical midnight
and finds a new enchanting love…

The Sandpipers Call

 Sandpipers Call amongst the garbage
 along the shore,
Tumbleweeds dance from dusk till dawn
Tumbleweeds roll as time goes by,
And time should stand still for love?
 But:
Only Tumbleweeds roll roll back and fro making love to the wind.
Flying lost, in a blue sky,
 never knowing why,
 Doves fly when curtains Call
Crying doves. Scatter, as curtains fall,
Peregrine falcon,, hits and death calls,,
And a spray of bloody feathers,,
In a garden of angels,, watch them fall,,
As a cold east wind blows from the west
Marking the spot where Sandpipers Call.
And Tumbleweeds yawn at break of dawn
And race each other down empty streets,
only stopping to keep each other warm,
Lost again where broken hearts meet
 Dust storms. Whistle a warning,
Broken windmills answer with creaking rusting calls that last forever.
For time is the enemy of broken hearts,
 Leaving you breathless as,
Strangers walk hand in hand among the garbage along the shore,
 where, Sandpipers Call.
 Tumbleweeds play hide and seek,
.....until dawn, in the cemetery on the hill where old cowboys lie,
waiting for Jesus lost in the garbage along the shore.
And Sandpipers mourn for dying doves.
 As Tumbleweeds the traveling kind
Remind us that love is blind as they March through broken windows
and open doors, a spray of bloody feathers fall.
Tumbleweeds play hide and seek until dawn
Dust devil's whistle a warning, broken windmills answer with
squeaking rusting calls and they'll sing that way for broken hearts.
 Lost forever.
At last the Tumbleweeds, call to the dying Sandpipers, dying in
the rotting garbage and seaweeds strewn along the shore..
 Home..

Heart Heart Broken Hearts

He loves me
Enticing
All kind and nice
Rapidly growing
To exciting new heights

He's always there to wipe all my tears
Entrusted with my heart
All the life we may have apart
Realizing the fear
That loves not always here

But fear is dissolved into something stronger
Realizing that love is so awful
Opportunities are gone and so is he
Killing myself is all that’s I’d be
Eternal anguish fills tears in my eyes
No one had seen through all of his lies

He’s gone from my heart and he’s gone from my life
Everyone never saw he was nice
All night and all day
Regret courses my veins
Time is so slow
Suicides where I’ll go

Premium Member The Graveyard of Broken Hearts

Late at night, there are moonlit skies
Winds sweeping clouds overhead
And I wander, among the living dead
Of broken hearts and empty souls

They were robbed
In the light of day
By sweet words
And promises to stay

Nothing brings one to deaths open door
More than a heart bleeding onto desires floor
And here I wander amongst you all
For I know death is knocking, I am soon to fall

Every morning I rise above
The coffin door slightly ajar
And the rays of love, small slivers they be
Give me hope, I grasp for thee

These were simply morning illusions
For love is the grandest of all delusions
So on I wander amongst you all
The village of dead love, buries us all
