Speak your melodies
and I'll dream of harmonies
that will someday be befitting of your artistry
Similarly
Voice your euphony
and I'll dream of poetry
that will someday be worthy
of your flattery,
and lure you into rhapsody -
pure ecstasy with each word
that breathes between the pages
from beneath those eyes
that never cease to critique,
and a breath that reeks of deceit
and deserted dreams that I still cling to
Anger breeds more anger.
A red gyrating storm.
Every outlook in its path, loud howls
Destroyed. Or will deform.
The same with minds of calm.
Skies, more gleeful, hopeful
Matching. Seen then, in its true light
This world. A beautiful!
BREEDS OF LATE LEGENDS
The soul of Bob Marley -
Tap it from the Caribbean reggae.
The ambition of Tupac Shakur -
Immortalize a generational legacy.
The mind of Malcom X -
A monument for all world's activists.
The dream of Martin Luther King -
Still holds the world's ear ransom.
The heroics of Nelson Mandela -
Voyage from apartheid to multiracial democracy.
The greatness of Muhammad Ali -
"Floats like a butterfly & Sting like a bee".
The world need not these monstrous men mountains
But most needing of a breed of our late legends.

If laziness gets a fair chance
One can never at all advance
If health must be kept intact
Exercise must be the act
Prayer is the curing pill
Peace in mind it will fill
When a prayer is made
True bliss will pervade
If prayer is resorted to
The best God will do
When duty is pending
Upon you it is depending
First complete it soon
Make it a full Moon
Duty that fetches riches
Will surely remove hitches
If a work is available
Surely life is bailable
Work is indeed great worship
Creating with God a relationship
Always enjoy doing sacred duty
It connects you with holy Divinity.
In 'Joy Breeds Hope,' Connie wrote ...
"We have been blest with this beautiful Earth.
Let kindness prevail in me and you.
Harmony dwells with new hope in God's love."
Connie now knows the breadth of God's love.

Joy Breeds Hope
As my eyes look up to bright sunny skies
And I view soft shape shifting clouds float by
I feel hope instilled through my joyful eyes.
I take a deep breath, let out a long sigh.
Look at the trees how they've weathered the storms
They remain steadfast with beauty so fair
With outreaching limbs share shade in their forms;
Gifts for all creatures who breathe their fresh air.
We have been blest with this beautiful Earth.
Let kindness prevail in me and in you.
Souls need teaching from the on-set of birth
To respect others in all that they do.
Harmony dwells with new hope in God's love
As we connect Earth with heaven above.

Faith’s Lack, Breeds Fear

Gone are violins that usually play,
that can soothe a troubled soul throughout the day.
We are mired in a time that we can't see past,
and media coverage- leaves us downcast.
They paint a picture of innocent dying,
our future looks bleak and most horrifying.
As good hearted people reach out in support,
others parse words in a vile attempt to thwart.
*Prophecy teaches perilous times will come,
only God knows the day, the hour, and outcome.

Craving is an arrow in the heart,
the poison of ignorance;
that spreads its toxins through desire, passion and illwill.
Bound with the bondage of craving,
our minds smitten with suffering
we are bound with the bondage of desire;
with no safety from this vicious cycle.
Beings going through the wandering-on,
headed for birth and death
While those who've abandoned craving,
free themselves and reach the ending of fermentations;
though in the world,
have gone beyond.
Craving is the cause by which breeds stress.
If its root remains undamaged and strong;
A tree,even if cut,
will grow back.
So too,if latent craving
is not rooted out,
suffering returns.
Encircled with craving,
people hop round and around
like a rabbit caught in a snare.
Tied with fetters and bonds
they go on to suffering,
again and again,for long.
For a person
forced on by his thinking,
fierce in his passion;
focused on beauty,
craving grows more.
He's the one
who tightens the bond.
But one who delights
in the stilling of thinking,
always mindful cultivating
a focus on the foul:
He's the one who will make an end,
the one who will cut desire's bond.

How can you live with such a negative mind
Only thriving on misery and tales unkind
You wonder why you have such bad luck
When its all Happiness you drain and suck
Your outlook is dark and bleak
No positivity do you seek
Inflicting your woe on all that will listen
Like a plague, sorrow you do christen
Your outlook physically drains me
I have one and only single plea
Is that you seek some positivity
What will it take for you to see
That from the bad comes negativity
No good can come from misery
This is the truth you fail to see.
She watches the knife hit the chopping block.
The blood runs deep, a river's lake.
Nails that scratch a door with lock.
Hinted humor drips in failure's wake.
Romanticized thoughts, so hard to break.
Yet love is so hard to fake.
She keeps from screaming
As his voice is quieting,
Her mind is rioting; yet his is fried and sizzling.
A blank stare as they eat.
hatred is silence's greatest feat,
Who next will she entreat
Who then will he meet?
What burns red, is the color of silence...
Solid iron fence,
Covered in the silence, bled and bred,
Hatred rears its ferocious head.
