these days I question more and more
        my faiths and what their purposed for
            while evil grows to breadths unseen
    beyond, it seems, where it has been

oh grant me sense and help me live
        with deep, dark things I can’t forgive
            those angers towards the culprits of
    coarse misdeeds done to those I love

hushed secrets banned from leaving lips
        that sink sweet souls and hearts like ships
            unblemished spirits stained and drowned
    by friends and folks with greed unbound

I’ve tried so hard through love to free
        those hates that seethe inside of me
            but I’ve not now or e’er such sweep
    for sufferance that broad or deep

        so …

I’ll hand them up to grander strengths
        a Grace that knows no walls or lengths
            and pray that such is pardoned me …
    the wealth of wrongs … I’VE brought to be.

Premium Memberburial borne

on ship’s voyage cosmos-deep
          a captain’s life was laid to sleep
               wrapped in linen mummy-style
     and thrown into the stellar keep

he floated on in endless black
          ‘tween the stars and ev’ry lack
               old, as much the void he swam
     ‘cross a vault of night and back

what of life had this one known
          had he thrived or barely grown
               was he one of true love’s shills
     cold as now so lost and lone

years spun into thousands more
          through galactic breadths he tore
               darkened matter - cosmic dusts
     bound for some unceasing shore

what would e’er become of this
          a spacer shorn of life’s dear kiss
               drifting through the sea of suns
     unto the breach of time’s abyss

might he, in some age from now
          be set back to breath somehow
               by the brain of some grand race
     advanced with tech to thus allow

oh should he end up on that path
          what wonders will his being hath
               to sail those stars and live again …
     no greater last of all, that laugh!

Ocean Views

Flung open to
Which stepped out view
A window's, to contain
Given up on
Freshly aired lured
All of him cured
Of sea breadths, which, a-glow
Spark religion.

A Poem For the Golden Jubilee of a Spiritual Head In My Family

Five shimmering decades of wondrous stardom
Amongst the hearts of the heaven’s kingdom;
Hundreds have heard the healing messages
From our Lord’s messenger of fifty enlightening pages.

Our man of honour has travelled through the lengths and breadths of the earth;
To serve across seas for spiritual rebirth.

You are a multi-talented exemplar for us to aspire;
A truly divine educator who is always a reason to inspire.

Our glittering blaze of brilliance
Celebrates his day of golden significance!

Premium MemberA Cup Runneth Over

When I hear the chirping of bizarre birds in the morning,
And see the sun gently rising; golden rays adorning;
And feel the graciousness of the almighty upon me,
Who, by his abundant mercy, gave me a day to see;
My heart overflows with joy like water from Angel-falls,
From unknown, brightest heaven, for a fullness of life, calls...!

Neither in riches did I crawl; nor in poverty, blaze;
Health and wealth, like rhythm in a melody, filled my days;
Love of kinsfolk, like honey from flowers, I did cherish,
Sorrows and sufferings, though like moths appeared, did perish;
Respect and reputation, like shadows, walked with me,
Fears and panics, like flies before fire, fearfully flee...!

I have my values; I live them; I find my goal attained;
My body, mind and soul are nourished; I never feel chained;
God-given potentials keep me young; I esteem my strengths,
Each moment has its surprises; joys have no breadths and lengths;
Mindfulness has been minding me; I am Zen in my deeds;
Gratitude has become my concord; God sees to my needs...!

Premium MemberEarth Is Gift

A brilliant, wide rainbow bent over a stone in the creek.
A jealous breeze carries the suppressed echo from the caves.
White blossoms inspire the soul when it begins to feel bleak.
Purple flowers draw in a fix and shatter into repair waves.

Unhindered by Her force, the wind blows all alone.
Breadths wrap the sundown planets daily.
Jerks the branches, delivering whistle groan.
This figure behaves as an apt mate, not a lethal enemy.

Green plants, similar to foliage in the yard, tirelessly arise.
If you listen intently, you can hear the wilderness gasping.
Tree's contorted, twisted appendages climb right to paradise.
A close-by streaming stream might be distinguished mumbling.

Regardless of mankind's hubris, we don't possess anything.
This Planet is given to us for a specific time span.
Against the downfall of our reality, we will be revitalizing.
May our journey is brightened up with delightful spawn!

Premium MemberThrough the Keyhole

She, there drawn, but not for sleep
          Daubed in guile, the heartless weep
               Cold, the secrets sheets thus keep
     Peeking, stained in deeds that creep
               Through the burning keyhole ...
          Burning, jealous eyes ...

Bodies scorched with flames to fan
          Limbs entwined in breadths to span
               Dreaming does what dreaming can
     Peeking blessed me, the "other man"
               Through the callow keyhole ...
          Callow, spotless eyes ...

Once, she spilled her passions, freed
          Crimped from time and shallow need
               Perfecting spawn with faultless seed
     Peeking, searched to stem the bleed
               Through the nascent keyhole ...
          Nascent, beggared eyes ...

Now, the years force hearts to stray
          In careless arms, the dreams decay
               One whose blistered hands will pray
     Peeking, danced in lust's ballet
               Through the rusted keyhole ...
     Rusted, weeping eyes ...

Weeping ... trust's demise.

Premium MemberSilent Shadows On the Snow

Night's silent shadows softly fall
     from moonlight's muted, mellow glow,
that shroud the land with sunless shawls
     on cold ground glazed with glinting snow.

Tree branches, seen with broader breadths
     by shadows that bestow their form,
splayed stark atop the snowy depths;
     by wind, they swirl like snaky swarms.

Small bushes sway between the trees
     to shadow snow like ghastly ghosts
that dance deceptively to tease
     and harrow wary human hosts.

Pure, peaceful pageantry at night;
     such lovely landscapes, to be viewed.
But, sometimes shadows strain our sight-
     with varied visions misconstrued.

Ladders On Chuckie Egg

Different lengths
Different breadths.

Surfing sometimes
Hard at times.

Pausing
Dossing.

Stretch
Etch.

Stitched Pages

A glue and a saliva
Couldn't hold the lava
     The climax of the data
     The core of the matter
     The part of the bone more fatter

A tail and a head
Couldn't contain the bread
     The daily breast
     Flowing the daily breath
     Sighing in wider breadths

A nail and a hammer
Couldn't spread the chips
     The cellular sips
     The infinitesimal whips
     The silent lips

A staple and a stitch
Seemed to give the stretch
     Of the deepest trench
     Of the biggest wretch
     Of words more than a sketch

Old Friend

Memories silently glide by behind like little ghosts
Memories become passive figurines playing with my hands like a toy
I find myself sometimes inside the guise of a boy

And I find myself a while engulfed in all these times
Behind the walls of one eyed cupboard doors
For hide and seek: I’ve blocked myself so many times that I just couldn’t reach
All! of this past
And I just cannot breach the breadths of casted open glass
That seems to keep me here
Whereby I connect with you always

Inside my heart you play
Buzz, hand tennis and marble games
Remember Mrs what’s-her-name that kept us late after class?
For our handwriting tests and English grammar left unpassed
Old friend?
Remember the Robin Hood play?

Remember all that we have done, that all seems crystal clear
And all the time, the good times
The times that now have disappeared

As we stand behind the doors of where we once were found
With laughter, cheers, sighs and dropped brows
Good friend and now
Memories silently glide by behind like little ghosts

An Ordeal To Be Forgotten

Dear diary,
My vented heart speaks to you today,
Help me forget the terrible bygones;
The misfortunes of a young girl,
The pain that she felt
In the coercion of another’s body’s act,
Her screams that were wasted
In crying out for help,
The violent hunger that unleashed
Itself on her naïve innocence.
The animals that bit her all over,
Left her abandoned in a place where
No one could find her.

The night soon followed her,
It was darkness that embraced her
Bruised beauty.
She lay in her last breadths of the hour,
When she felt lighter than before,
Released from the burdens of her karma.
And suddenly all blacked out,
In a split second she was gone, and
Peace is all she felt.

Vindicate My Search

To be clear;
Once you were not real;
But my God had you created from my illusion;
What I desired but never experienced,
My thoughts were for you
Whom I did not know; a ghost;
I knew what I wanted; needed;
And you were there at every turn,
I knew that a kindred heart was beating somewhere;
As pure as my innocence;
That she would be all that was good in the world,
I felt your presence often
Waking me from deep slumber unnerving;
I would daydream of you so serene
And my heart and time would stand still,
With a beauty that shone through the skin from your soul;
And I thought be it heaven or hell;
I would walk the greatest depths;
The endless breadths;
No one would stand in my way;
I would lay waste to all humankind,
But to stand at your side;
And I died each time I awoke
Not finding you there;
And I asked myself how many others
Had tried and failed to seek you out,
But I would not stop;
My heart knew you were close;
Alone waiting for someone;
To rise up from the ashes of your annihilation
Of all those that knew not your worth,
At last I have found you;
I am here to end your wait;
To vindicate my search...

Melissa's Wedding Day

Its a bright golden day
A wedding day is planned
The bride is 8 months pregnant
Tries to hide it with her hand

Now that bump is more than a handful
As we are yet to see
Cos she starts to fidget
Has a pain or two or three

Hang on we try to tell her
Lets get you married first
She takes a few deep breadths
Hope the pain doesnt get worse

So the registrar does her job
As fast as she could
Cos baby is on the way
Things arent looking good

As the bride said her vows
Her waters broke 'oh my'
We reassure her its ok
Hoping she doesnt cry

There's a wedding meal planned
speeches to be made
We tell the friends go on enjoy
But video it instead

So thats how we have the video
Of a wedding breakfast but no bride
Her and her new hubby
Were sort of busy deep inside

The maternity wing of the hospital
where I am midwife its a laugh
As I take off my glamour gear
To don a hosp gown and mask

So instead of eating a lovely meal
I am here doing what i do best
Delivering a little boy
Now can we all get some rest?

Premium MemberScentsuality Isn'T Scentsible

So there I was
Just minding my own business
Not bothering anybody

Nor wishing to be bothered…..

Didn’t think I could be
Bothered, that is
‘Cause for sure I had it down this
Time, with all its waxing and waning
Its swelling and receding
Its heights and depths and breadths

Nothing, really.

Everything under control.
Polished and smooth and oh so
Solid and real safe
Cozy
In a safe kind of way.

Never mind the artificial
Light, the artificial flowers thrive
Anyway.

Don’t they look nice?

The wind is relentless.
Sneaky, too.
Finding the itsy-bitsiest
Surface cracks with breezes pretending to be
Gentle.

It blew in a dream last night and I don’t know
If it was about here we go or
Here we go again.
I woke to wisps
Of rose and lilac and honeysuckle
In the air, pulsing and wafting
Reminding me of my heart beating in
Time

Smells nice. But some light snuck in too
And it’s making me
Squint.
