A Boundless Utopia 16-03-23

Atop a grassy hill I sit,
gazing at the rich azure blue sky
watching a few birds fluttering in and out of my vision,
slicing through the air like knives.
I lie there for what feels like an eternity,
wind turbine turning in calculated motion
out of the corner of my eye.
My rucksack ties me to the ground,
filled with a thousand weights,
preventing me from being like those birds,
majestic, elate and carefree.
But I can imagine.

The innocent silky clouds transform and bend,
producing a multitude of bizarre objects,
an army commanded by the wind
sauntering across the horizon.
A world with no end, limited only by mortal minds,
a mini-universe floating just above our heads.
We are the creators of this fictional world,
where human though unfurls.

I see an emerald dragon,
a group of chariot wagons, their horses galloping.
A circus filled with the most exotic animals,
an ivy snake laced with diamonds,
a canoe slicing through the sky.
A gnarly oak,
its trunk encased, fingers reaching infinitely high.
But each world is different for every one of us,
so tell me; what do you see
when you let your imagination
break free?

After the Storm

2025 Poetry Marathon Mile 10 Contest //Sponsored by: Mark Toney
( 3rd Place )

Written: August 23, 2025

The sky broke open, spilling light along empty streets,
and he went under its shelter, carrying the weight of every yesterday
as if each memory could still cleave to his shoulders.

Raindrops lingered on the pathway like strewn mirrors,
catching pieces of moments thought lost:
the eyes that believed, the hands that shaped him and the whispers of care that remain long after absence.

Every step ahead shuddered with uncertainty.
But still the world teemed with quiet promise.

He spotted small wanders--
the scent of wet earth rising,
a leaf twirling in a plash,
the soft pulse of life returning after darkness.

He stumbled, he faltered,
yet each fall shaped a different rising:
a reed that bends but does not break,
a step that carries forward still,
though the horizon clings to storm.

No one walked beside him
but still he felt the world breathe softly in his steps.

The storm had passed, leaving only light;
a silent endurance entrenched in every step,
a mellow voice that urging him to continue,
even when the track is yours alone.

I look at the sky as an ocean of freedom, a realm of boundless flight,
where birds sketch their destinies on the blue canvas of infinity,
and I wonder why I remain where wings are just unlived dreams,
but the mirror shows me the answer, a truth hidden deep in my heart,
for my wings were never broken, just taught not to open.
Every time they flutter, a voice whispers to me of gravity,
of duties and guilts dressed in the cloak of false love,
carrying in my chest cages built from old promises and unspoken rules,
their doors have always been open, but fear shouted louder than the wind.
I have grown roots in places I should have left long ago,
I called them loyalty, I called them home, but they were just the comfort of familiar pain,
and now, I lift my gaze to the sky with longing, not because I cannot fly,
but because I have not yet learned to believe I deserve to be among the stars.

Impossible Boundless Love

An impossible love is what we have,
My life without the truth of you

Denied my thoughts and dream’s desires,
Left with all the pain I knew

Have not your face or that your smile,
Your eyes so deep I cannot see

My arms have not your body here,
To hold and bring you close to me

I’d gladly give all that I have,
And all those things of precious worth

To make our love yet possible,
I’d pay the priceless cost of earth

I will admit but won’t concede,
The limits of love may yet be found

But all I have inside for you,
It knows no limits and has no bounds…..

No Endless Sorrow, No Boundless Joy

1.
Sorrow entered, so cold and deep,
As if it came the soul to keep.
It seemed it never would depart,
A shadow cast upon the heart.

But then came joy, so bright, so fair,
It lit the world with gentle care.
It felt as though it ne'er would cease,
A time of light, a time of peace.

2.
The sweet Spring came with blooms anew,
With skies of gold and morning dew.
The birds began their songs to raise—
It seemed we'd live in endless days.

But Winter swept across the land,
With frozen breath and icy hand.
The leaves were gone, the flowers too,
The birds were still, the sky turned blue.

O Traveler, choose your path with grace,
Each road will fade without a trace.
No grief remains, nor joy can stay—
All things must pass along the way.

Boundless

A warm ember that revives
The icy void that froze me from within
Whispers carried on the breeze like autumn leaves
Unveiling a beauty that forever ascends

My desire once depleted
Scarred from the burns that sear
Until you flared the torch of my soul
Illuminating my path of darkness when all seemed unclear

I felt the force of a sapphire storm in your gaze
A bond that crystallized as your hand fell into mine
The arid landscape transforms into a welcoming haven
Vibrant and bright as our souls intertwine

I wandered through the twilight of my own shadow
In the most fragile hours of endless longing
Mapping the contours that led me back home
In the crevices of your love, i have found my place of belonging

On the floor of the future, she twirls, dancing through the boundless,
In contemporary moments, still unshaped,
She carves her path through the fullness of time,
Until it becomes one with her present.
An ethereal dance, spiraling into destiny,
Moments merge, battling with eternity,
Each movement, a step into the unknown,
A leap among stars, constellations of unmade memories.
Now she says she owns moments, not hours,
In the symphony of time, she is both composer and conductor,
Seconds are notes on the infinite staff,
A journey through the corridors of an open mind.
Each petal a possibility, an allegory,
A story without beginning and without end,
Her existence woven with threads of light and shadow,
A labyrinth of thoughts flowing through the fluid present.
Time is not a wall, but a vast ocean,
Where she swims freely, defying gravity,
A soul singing its ballad under the changing sky,
Her moments measured not by clocks, but by the heart.
The deep breaths of the universe,
Heard through every whisper, every rustle,
A magical melancholic poem, an ode to undefeated life,
The river winding, seeking the endless sea.

“When divine lotus blooms within,
life becomes a feeling called bliss”- by Poet

Life desiccates derelict
in the desolate desert,
infuses perennial peace
of placid oasis in heart.
Sacred sublimity,
felt in serene essence,
embeds in devout sanctum.
Edified soul lights up bleakness,
perceives divine grace,
boundless bliss embraces life.

Boundless Love

My mind’s heart for you
Is a love that’s pure and true
I don’t not think about you
While doing everything I do

I respect that you’re resilient
I’m in love with your brilliance
With you there’s no ceilings
I’m perplexed by you

You take me higher than higher
While walking a tight wire
And my constant reminder is
I found me when I found you

FLAME OF THE BOUNDLESS

Sometimes a memory is all we need.
It can hold all the beauty; all the pain.
Happiness grown from a once carefully planted seed.
Reflections of emotions like the thrum of pounding rain.

Sometimes twin souls can share the same dreams.
Dreams of love, safety, and what could be.
A sheen of warmth of your hair, skin like the softest cream.
Eyes that make the stars hide, eternally captivating me.

Sometimes time and distance hold no sway.
Sometimes yesterday feels like today.
Sometimes good things happen to those who wait.
Sometimes if all you do is wait, it may be too late.

Boundless Mutual Worship

How long will you stare
at my Blurry reflection.
Will we plunge into the enchantment
Of the distorted .
Frightening tenderness so nicely
Cuts the sternum.
As well sounds in the depths of blood - stained feelings ,
An affectionate command .
Oh, and it wouldn't disappear forever overnight ,
If we knew the boundless mutual worship.

Premium MemberMy Personality Is Boundless

.
My personality is boundless
I am a giant puppy leaping onto laps
New people fear me

You need to develop some reserve
I am told this and often
I lick the face of those who say it; I am a pup

Most people in your profession hold something back
I am not most people
I wink at their consternation

Being myself always
A giant exuberant puppy
Loving people no matter what

I've generally battled vulnerability.
I'm not even close to what I ought to be.

I notice myself faltering in the water alike a log.
Mr. Culpability, can you hear my pathetic blog.

I've been in anguish because of my apathy.
I don't notice whether I mend and gain some theory.

I'm similar to a plane colliding with the Earth.
Mr. Obligation, temper me in going girth.

My transgression was my erroneous gloss.
I've needed to stumble rather than be in progress.

I've been oppressed by lethargy for longer.
I'm tired of hearing "Morons" again and over.

Ineptitude won't sustain the edge unexpectedly.
Flightiness won't ever again hold the mastery.
