Premium Member Borders' Marching Orders

For years America bordered on insane

~ ‘til ICE removed its migraine

Premium Member Lost in Translation

in a strange foreign land
lone outsider
waiting on the sidelines
stumbles upon friendship
and finds comfort
soul to soul

securing a safety net
experiences the freedom to let loose
to laugh and share the freedom to be free
within confines set by the heart
indelibly forging a lasting memory
to take home and treasure always

AP: 3rd place 2025

Premium Member Sky without The Borders

From the high deck, gazing far away
The southern sky, the clouds arrayed
Passing overhead in summertime
Stirring up dreams with open eyes

A warm wind sweeps across my face
The wild doves have left their place
Carrying with them joyful songs
Seagulls enjoy the sky all day long

The sparrows forget the green land
In the shade, they form a noisy band
The birds enjoy the sky of freedom
Unchain the neck, life is awesome

The blue sky without borders smiles
Men and birds can enjoy a free sky
Pursue the living creature’s goal
Earth has given freedom to each soul

PRECARIOUS BORDERS

A republic finds itself in a wobbly state,
Governance shrouded by an opaque regime,
Some strands emerge together into a credible tapestry,
Many weaves yet to emerge from the loom.

Decades of simmering hostility,
Punctuated by spasms of bonhomie,
Sputtering out into recrimination—
These circumscribe our strategic choices.

The populace divided, a schism stark and deep,
Hawks and doves in stark contrast.
Neighbourhood's dangerous gaze, fixed.
A hiccup to thrive without peace.

Premium Member A Country Bigger than Her Borders

Most Countries are rooted in land
be it bountiful, rocky, or arid like sand

Yet Israel is much bigger than her borders
A nation marching to the Almighty’s orders

A people grounded in the precepts of the Holy Book
Given them on Mount Sinai, when the whole world shook

Descended from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – renamed Israel
A man, a nation, a people forged from the finest material

Premium Member Doctors Without Borders

In a world of growing uncertainty,
whenever there's a great emergency,
Doctors Without Borders
alleviates disorders
with profound humaneness and urgency.

Love Crosses the Borders

Love is born in our hearts
Our hearts make it grow
It matures within us unconditionally

Unconditionally, it grows among people
People from here and there
There is no limit for true love

True love has no explanation
Explanation makes it grow in us
Develops for someone on a foreign land

Love remains the core of our existence
Existence God put in humans
Humans across the borders

Borders separating people
People break barriers due to love
Love is boundaryless, colorless and ageless
And ageless develops another love in older humans
Humans of wisdom and natural affection

Premium Member I have drawn the maps of my sorrow, with borders of ochre and ash

I have drawn the maps of my sorrow, with borders of ochre and ash,
rivers of longing winding like silver snakes toward the empty seas of unfulfilled dreams,
the valley of abandoned thoughts, a cemetery of withered promises,
and the desert of sighs, its sand made of words
that shatter like glass under the weight of silence.
In the center, a mausoleum of dreams sculpted in marble,
they shine enclosed in the amber of memory,
the winds erode them like a silent sculptor,
the inevitability of forgetting etched into stone,
a dance of time drawing spirals over memories.
I wander through this landscape like a drifting shadow,
traveling through tunnels of the soul,
where every corner hides an echo
of a lost love, a whisper of yearning.
When night draws its curtain over thoughts,
everything becomes a tomb of silence,
and in that darkness, only I remain,
a guardian of dreams that hide their brilliance,
a sentinel of a universe that will no longer bloom.
Thus, I continue to carve my path,
through a universe of melancholy and falling stars,
seeking light among the dense shadows,
in a never-ending journey,
through the uncharted maps of my soul.

Premium Member Old Freedom

I’m a state without statesmen
That exists until I breathe
Though with all attention span
You won’t see a state like this
I’m a country with no borders
Rooted in the autumn sky
I don’t set no laws and orders
I’m not forcing any ties
Prohibitions and permissions
Ain’t the games I press to play
Live upon your own conditions
Pay whatever you can pay
I’m a peaceful antination
Nonpolitical empire
With no foreign validation
And no stamp when to expire
Guess my name - I bet you’ll go
First with madness then with dreaming
Sorry to upset, but no
You won’t notice your old freedom.

Premium Member rights come with borders

An act-as-they-wish guarantee
Leads brutes to think they’ll tread on me
But I too have rights
And might eschew fights
If backed by a fair referee

The Wall above it all OR Open Borders below us all

Trump will put her in the dump
I have a lump
In my throat tonight
Hopefully, He fights the good fight!
Assumptions bleed on
From dusk to dawn

From twilight to gone...
I have confidence in daylight
On and on, I move on a ton
Fight, fight, fight with our might

Tomorrow is the BIGGEST day in history...
What lies ahead? Misery or prosperity?
I don't vote, but I vote for Christ too
But, I go for Trump 100% - this is true

I'm going to be happy and proud
When Trump prevails (laugh out loud)
If he doesn't, he doesn't (singing the blues)
Let God decide who'll win or lose!

closed - borders

Open borders? No
Drugs? No. Life? Hell yes
Open borders? No...

Build the wall, Trump! Please!
We need you more than ever
Hopes up? Heavens yes...

I know He will be
The next president of pro-
Sperity and peace

Chaos, commotion
there will be wars and such now...
Future? Yes...past - no...

Legally country
peaceful protest? Yes! Riots?
No...let God, let God

Let go and let live now!
Prsent moment of the now
Be president, Trump!

Believe and have faith
No more war or battles in...
The Kingdom of God

2024 -
I bet you 95%
He's gonna win big!

Godly morals...have
Self-control and patience too
Payback for Biden...

Premium Member My Borders are Made of Lilies

My borders are made of lilies.
They are a pleasant reminder where caution begins and conflicts end.
To those who know me, my borders are made with forgiveness, a kind and patient floral display.
To those who try me, they are battle trenches that are now forgotten and unmarked graves.

I have many flowers to give.
They are a welcomed display of love and an unselfish act of charity.
To my friends who know me, my flowers symbolize loyalty, patience, and kindness.
To my enemies who try me with lies, selfishness, manipulation, betrayal, malice or slander
will come to know my borders and why I bring them
      lilies.

Floods follow no borders

Floods follow no lofty order,
And blind be to any border,
They like none, nor dislike,
And equal do all strike,
He knows who’s a fair beholder.

Happenings |24.08.2024| river, flood
Poet’s note: The new regime in Bangladesh recently felt that India deliberately opened up dam waters to inundate the neighbour country. This ditty shows, the truth is otherwise. The Indian territory was no less affected by the floods, and their fear is not well-founded.

Open borders is denied with a casual sigh,
now we’re in a mess and still don’t know why.
They swarm our borders,
to be resource hoarders,
all are illegal and should be told bye-bye.
